You know, RB… you should have said, “do not trust the terrorist.” Adding the word muslim sides on being prejudice which wouldn’t surprise me at all. It’s little side notes like this that pushes me further and further away from Christianity. One of many many reasons I left the church and ceased to be a Christian.

Muslims are going to hell. So are Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, atheists, agnostics, Deists, Wicca-ists, and every other non-Christian on the planet. I’ve never said otherwise. It’s not pretty, but as far as I’m concerned, it’s the truth.

And I’ve never claimed Muslims and Christians can live in peace; anyone can see that historically this has been impossible, and logically can’t work. So what’s your point?

And as for religion being bull; that’s totally your opinion. Personally, I think your opinion is bull, so we’re even. No hard feelings.

its ooo-rah! well it was in my company anyways. We had one guy that had singing lessons at some point in his civy life. you could make ooo-rah last for 2 3/4 min. He used to yell it out of loud speakers when we were driving through small desert holes. fun times!!! God i miss the corps, i think i might go back in for another 4, anybody else miss it?

It is a sad day in America.  The Patriot Act’s 16 most important provisions have been voted down by the US Senate.  The terrorsts have been handed their first victory by gutless American politicians.  It can be truly said that the terrorists cannot defeat us on the battlefield.  They must win their battles against us with their left-wing supporters in the Democratic Party and the weak-kneed politicians on the Republican side.  I am ashamed of each and every one of them that are against this important piece of legislation that has kept America safe from the evil of terrorism these past 4 years.  Without these provisions, we are now going to be going back to the Clinton era where information sharing was not allowed and led to 9/11.  God help us now in our time of need.  We are in desparate need of it.  The next attack is coming and those Senators will be to blame.

The Dems can mobilize buses to get people to vote, but apparently they can’t mobilise people to get out of dodge.

I think what gets the Dems so mad is that NO was such a bastion of Liberalism, that this hurricane stripped away all the walls and showed the world what an utter failure Liberalism is. NO has been run by Dems for 60 years, yet it many of its people were poor and left behind by the very Democrats that they elected into office.

Rita hasn’t even hit Texas yet… and they already screwed up with the evacuations. No gas. Clogged freeways. Stalled vehicles. No supplies. Already there have been deaths and crimes being committed.

Yeah… I guess that they have a decent excuse?? Cough it up, DM. You know in a time of potential disaster, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO STEP IN AND NOT WAIT FOR SOME PAPER WORK REQUEST. They are more “on the ball” in this case (due to the results of Rita) but still have FAILED on multiple levels in the evac.

Okay I haven’t check this thread in awhile. But is there concern that other nations would form a coalition against us because we drop “under god”?? Am I reading this right?? So we invade another nation and we are okay. But if we drop a couple of words and we are in trouble?? Are you kidding me?!?!?

Well, Jen, look at it this way. This has very little to do with a person’s political or religious views and everything to do with wasting time.

If this guy wanted to try and do this in a time of peace, when the economy is good, and we didn’t have ‘much’ on our nation’s plate, I may take a closer look at what he is talking about and MAY even support his actions. But now?? Hell no. He is bitching about something unnecessary during a time of multiple crisis(s) where we could use our courts for more urgent issues. For that, the entire issue loses my support and more than likely, loses the support of other liberals like me.
