      I’m mostly interested in the 1940 2nd ed games (Europe, Pacific, and Global) as well as 1942 2nd ed.

      I now have AAA and have played the AI but would like to play real players.

      Yes, a few times. Two opponents so not a huge sample. Without SZ37 I always found the IJN dominant and hard to dislodge.

      I’ve played a couple live opponents in person, too, as well as the AI. Always found that the Axis wins, wins, wins. Let me know if you ever want to take a whirl playing each other on AAA. I’ve never tried AAA with a live opponent before.

      Take advantage of G’s full three rounds of peace with USSR. Each of those rounds buy a bomber and a stack of infantry and just start pressing everything towards what will be the Russian front.  Also make sure you also establish a small Italian presence there as well.

      A minor IC can only be built on a territory with a value of two or higher. Finland isn’t feasible.

      I employ a similar strategy to Dafyd, except that I always try to get a small Italian force grounded in Romania before the Axis declares war on the USSR. It can help to clear out some blockers (allowing German tanks to blitz) and potentially break out into the Middle East.

      Hello, everyone:

      First time poster, here. I’ve read a number of your forum topics over the last few months and have found them quite helpful. I’ve been an avid player since the 80s but still have much to learn.

      I recently downloaded (ok, actually, my girlfriend did it for me) Triple-A because I find it difficult to get games going here in town, so I’ve been playing the AI for the last couple weeks, mostly 1942 2nd edition. A few questions:

      1. I’ve been losing bombers at about a 60% clip during bombing raids. Even after I switched to “low luck” in the preferences it’s still way higher than the 1/6 probability you should expect. Has anyone else experienced this?

      2. I would like to play online against a real live opponent, rather than the AI. Is there a way to do that without having to do it via email?

      Thanks in advance for any answers y’all can provide.
