@mikawagunichi First round made all the difference for sure! I don’t remember what odds were but seemed like less than 30%. Got similar results (in my favor) in my game with Daaras wiping his Chinese stack with no plane losses so I shan’t complain about Lady Luck…too much :)

@dawgoneit I deliberated a lot taking the carrier or a DD/cruiser on the first round, I had an average or below average roll I think and that made me think the carrier would have been a worse choice since it is important to maximize defense for the british attack follow up. So I made the edit after the first round (given you got 11 hits, but you wouldn’t have known that, it definitely was the best choice). Also tripleA didn’t give the US fleet the option to retreat to 99 so I edited that, I made sure to move the UK fleet into 99 before attacking so I wouldn’t have to edit that again in case of retreat, which ended up happening

Been quite busy with holidays and other events. Wrapped up all my other games so haven’t been on much! Im going to be quite limited the next few months and want to do the PTV championship . Let’s put a pin in it. I enjoy the setup it feels quite well balanced. I like that there are ways for Italy to protect its fleet and stay relevant, the extra territories make it feel a bit more like global. I like what you’ve done with the split islands a lot too. That’s my favorite thing in PtV. -

I’d say scrambling in general is the one thing I think should be made universal somehow but then also needs to increase cost (and maybe nerf combat stats?) of fighters to compensate. I remember a thread from years ago where you had made fighters a 2A/3D C8 unit so I know you’ve probably had some testing with changing them around. Building stacks of planes in global variants is just too powerful and easy IMO
