chinese would be impossible to make, they have different symblos for every word. you would need one hell of a keyboard for the whole chinese language

dude, it takes forever to get trannys to china, especially if you’re buying bombers for the first turn or two. by then japan will only need like 5 more VP’s, and if the japanese player isnt a retard they will have at least like 5 (of the original 16; 'aint a huge sacrafice) fighters in japan ready to defend against SBR’s anyway. the best strategy for the allies is to have america go after the homeland of japan while india clings on to asia and the aussies take out japan’s fleet and takes back the IPC rich islands.

its not a bid, the allies get 12 too, and yes its in the rules.
also the strategy calls for you not to spend your $$$ on the first turn, so on the second turn you spend like 80 bucks instead of only 40

you can split it up any way you want; in total the allies get $12. russia could use all 12, or you could give each 4, or you can save it. it doesnt matter how you use it, but they only get 12

i think you just play the game just as you would, but no alliances

do they make keyboards for different languages/writing systems? how does someone in china talk on their computer? (or do they just have to know a language w/ the roman alphabet?)

i actually think this is a pretty good idea… i’ll have to try it sometime. i’ve never tried to invade UK before, but if i didn’t spend any of my money on turn one UK would know something fishy’s going on, and would probably buy 4 infantry and 1 destroyer, and i would invade and win. sounds like a GREAT strategy, i’m gonna try it next time i play w/ germnay (might take awhile, i’m usually russia)

yes, it is VERY important for you to protect your fighters. (didn’t you already lose your bomber though?) just keep bringing men to the mainland, and build the 3 tanks per turn in manchuria.(or maybe a fighter and 2 tanks)

most of them do look pretty interesting, but nowhere as good as good ol’ A&A. one that did look kind of intersting was barbarossa, i think that was made by the same guy who made settlers of catan, and it was best game of the year for 1988 or something. have you played that one yet zero?

yeah, it is VERY important to work w/ your ally when you’re the axis… maybe even more important than working together as the allies, since you can do whatever you want and still win anyway (w/out bids + RR)

yeah, but most of the foreign people that visit the site can still speak english pretty well, off the top of my head i can think of : f_alk and fisternis ( i think he’s french) but what you are saying about the flowery stuff is true, i prefer simpler statements over flowery statements when both of them mean the same thing

i just finished writing a report on a romantic composer ( i was assigned Johannes Brahms) it was kinda a pain, but in the process i had to listen to this one piece he wrote called piano concerto in D minor( i’m almost certain thats what its called) and it wasn’t bad… there was one part of it called “Rondo” (i’m pretty sure thats what it was called) and it was pretty good… i might start listening to classical/romantic music more often…

i think i would consider you to be a “well learned young lady”, since you can properly use the word “decorum” in a sentence. (many adults i know probably don’t know what the word means, or even how to use it properly)

many people on this site strongly critcize SBR’s, but i think they are VERY useful, especially when you are the allies, or if you are germnay in A&A europe and you want to knock off an infantryman or two that russia will buy the next turn.
