you can land in 2 different countries in original and pacific versions, but in europe all of the contents of the transport MUST land in the same province.

RE: Where are your ancestors from?
i bet the germans and the irish ancestors of yours fought on the north side and the english /scandanavian sides of yours fought for the south, or am i wrong? i just generally know that germans usually sided with the north, as well as irish ( i’m pretty sure both of them didn’t like slavery)

RE: Education Reform
i excluded my gym class (i ALWAYS get B’s in that; i’m convinvced he doesn’t give out anything besides B’s) my gym teacher is so evil, he made me write a 2 page essay on teamwork, beacuse he thought i didn’t have enough teamwork.
sigh…. next year i don’t get gym class anymore ( i hate it, but it’s not as bad as another class) instead i get spanish or some other language. then i have to take 2 different languages. :(

RE: Iraq, again
@cystic:
Although not thoroughly versed in American newspapers, the Washington Post appeared fairly middleground to conservative, particular in its support of Bush and his little Iraq ideas . . . .
you want a middleground paper? read the LA times, or the Washington times. the post is so liberal it isn’t funny. where exactly did you get the idea that they support the war in Iraq? i’m just curious… maybe you got confused with the washington TIMES, beacuse that supports the war in Iraq and its middleground, but the post is totally a bucket of crap.

RE: Should I get A&A?
i live in northern VA, and the name of the place was AG paintball, in leesburg i believe. the name of that course is the compound, and there are other good ones there, like village, fortress (i think its called fortress) and many others. unfortunaltey, my Tippmann98 has been sitting on my shelf since May :cry: i haven’t had a chance to play since then (its SO expensive; $20 for paintballs, since most of the time they don’t let you bring your own. thats without the course fees….)

RE: Reading list
although at the time it did embed a liberal streak that it took several years of hard labor to rid me of.
ewwwwww don’t want that to happen to me. :x

RE: An crazy strategy
that would not be a smart move to have all of your tanks vulnerable to attack by the russians so early, the russians would just lose infantry but you would lose 7 or 8 tanks PLUS your important cannon fodder/infantry

RE: Iraq, again
here’s an example of 'news" from the washington post : all conservatives are racist (see more on pg 12) liberals are so awesome, you want to vote for them in the next election (more on pg7) conservatives are really stupid (see more on pg3)

RE: I need help defeating Britian plz reply
when 2 people play the game, both players bid for the axis. this means they both select a number, and the player with the lower number gets the axis. the player with the lowest number gets that many IPC’s to spend on axis units before the game starts.
e.g. player 1 bids 7, player 2 bids 6. player 2 plays as the axis, and he gets 6 IPC’s to spend (or save) as he sees fit on units for the axis before the game starts. the units he places can (obviously) only be placed in axis controlled territory. so player 2 decides to build 2 infantry in manchuria, so before the USSR even makes their first move there are 5 infantry in manchuria instead of 3

I’m pretty sure you’re right Yourbuttocks, i don’t think anything that Socrates wrote still survives today.

RE: Living in New Jersey?
my school librarian hates me, so i can’t really use the computers in there, and the computer lab is always being used by the high schoolers, so any middle schoolers stepping in are quickly expelled manually.

RE: Serious topics.
what?!!?!? don’t you remember GeZe? at least half of my posts aren’t talking about how many i have left to get to super-mega addict.you gotta admit, HE’s the one that takes the cake in pointless posts, not me. and besides, many of my posts are important. i’ve started several popular threads as well, including the partial-birth abortion thread, and the operation:sealion thread, and the genealogy thread, AND the favorite band thread. i might not be able to discuss some of the current events in the general discussion forum as intelligently as others, but bear in mind i am 14 years old.

RE: How does Russia hold out?
yeah, i don’t exactly like the idea of giving up the middle east either. that basicaly deafeats the purpose of the SBR’s if you’re gonna put that $$ right back into germnay’s pocket anyway. its a much better idea to protect the fighter in malta w/ a few infantry there w/ the initial allied 12 (i like to put 2 infantry in malta and 2 infantry in leningrad) and then use that fighter to take out the germans in africa/middle east as well as their fleet, or at least their transport so they can’t bring reinforcements from the mainland. then when you’e done in middleeast/africa you can take the fighter/rest of units up to russia. the fighter can get to moscow before the game is over, but the units might be a bit too slow.

RE: Iraq, again
@Deviant:Scripter:
The newspaper? They’ve got just as big an agenda to push as the other two guys. Only theirs is usually slanted left.
yeah, many of the big newspapers are clearly slanted to the left, such as the washington post. thats why my parents get the washington times… it actually tells you the news, it doesn’t just trash conservatives

RE: World at War
what about their game “the great war”? that looks pretty cool too… has anyone here ever played it before?

RE: Bomber rule
that does sound like a kinda good idea, but i think it would give the allies yet another advantage that they don’t need. just think… who builds more IC’s, the axis, or the allies? UK sometimes builds IC’s in india, south africa, sometimes even australia, and sometimes US builds one in Sinkinag, or western europe if they take it over. the axis almost never builds IC’s (i guess sometimes Japan does in manchuria, but thats at the end of the game if the axis is clearly winning) maybe it would be an okay rule if you upped the ante on bidding for axis (along with russia restricted)

RE: Paratroopers
8 IPC’s sounds like a good price, and i think they should get a roll of 1 for defence and no roll for attacking.
