i’m so stupid, i was thinking that you were moving them during your combat move for some reason (i have no idea why) and somehow i thought you got them thru the north sea. maybe i thought this b/c i never have the transport left after combat move, b/c it always dies in the north sea battle as cannon fodder. do you just attack the north sea then w/out the transport? i usually take it in beacuse i REALLY don’t like taking the chance of losing a german fighter on turn1 in the north sea battle.

RE: German navy T1
or are you just talking about some other trasport and i just misunderstood you (ur talkin about the german transport in balitc, right?)
-
RE: German navy T1
how can you get the transport from the baltic to algeria? wasn’t the british navy in the north sea?

RE: Are you a top player ?
why can’t you take it until turn 12? does japan just keep building all infantry? if this happens (assuming germany is already dead) then build IC’s in manchuria, kwantung and frenchindochina and build 3 bombers there per turn and just strategic bomb em so they can’t build any units. then you just build up an invasion force and take em out

RE: Site fully repaired
i thought about trying one, but they look kinda complicated, how does it work? do you get to use a board somehow (like the A&A pc game screen?) or do you just write everything you do down? that would be pretty hard. i’d rather play on the zone, but the only problem is that i have iron blitz edition, and NOBODY plays it b/c they think it has bugs in it.

RE: Scenario Editor
the blitz i use is called LBblitz, and it’s in the nickel section. there’s also another linebacker blitz in the dime section, but it’s not as useful.

RE: No attack between Russia and Japan
it would be nice if the US was somehow forced to spend some of their IPC’s in the pacific, b/c they always just use all of their $ to build stuff to take out germany.

RE: Operation: Sealion
they always talk about how the brits were producing spitfires so much faster than the germans were building the ME’s. i don’t get that. wasn’t german production better than british production? germany wasn’t using all of their production capabilities on stuff to attack russia, beacuse they wern’t at war w/ them yet, and they wouldn’t be for about a year. plus wasn’t england forced to fund the aussies and the indians war effort in the pacific?

RE: Site fully repaired
no, i’m just in middleschool, and i don’t get enough homework and i have nothing else to do besides come to this site. (no baseball until spring, and i’ve beaten splinter cell)

RE: SBR's can destroy ICs
that kinda sounds like a cool rule, though i think that should only apply to IC’s that you have built, not ones that you have started the game with.

RE: Operation: Sealion
i agree with candyman. if germany had concentrated on 1 objective at a time and then moved on to the next objective, i think they could have taken england by november. the RAF would’ve been destroyed along with the radar stations and all of the ports in southern england, and then they could’ve invaded and taken london in a matter of days.

RE: My first game!
hey olguatten, i havent tried this out yet, but i think the US should buy a mix of battleships(they are very good when attacking japan’s subs that are used for blocking sea zones beacuse they get a hit before they even get hurt) and bombers for the first few turns and after that, transports and artillery and infantry. the indians should buy all infantry, and they should get the english money for more infantry if it looks like japan will attack india. if it looks like japan is going for the victory point win, then give the british money to australia so they can build up a navy to retake the IPC rich islands. this is just my opinion, but i think battleships and bombers work out well for the first 2 turns, and then transports with infantry and artillery. go for bonin islands, and then japan and attack w/ all your bombers and infantry and artillery and bombard with your battleships.

RE: Operation: Sealion
i think so too, germany just didn’t have the navy to do it. if they had taken out the RAF fully, i think they might have been able to, but instaead they decided to bomb london

RE: Site fully repaired
will it be back up sometime soon? how long has it been since he deleted it?

RE: Fortress America, Conquest Of The Empire, and Shogun
i heard from somebody that starship wasn’t as good as the original or seafarers, but i really don’t know b/c i’ve never played it

RE: What is "RR"
RR stands for 'Russia restricted" all this means is that russia cannot attack on their first turn. they can only do noncombat moves, no combat moves
-
Operation: Sealion
do you think germany could have taken over Britain if they had tried to bomb out the RAF more instead of going after london, and then followed w/ an invasion from the sea?

RE: Risk Sucks
if i got that many people together, i’d play diplomacy. thats a great game for more than 3 or 4 people

RE: Should I get A&A?
if you haven’t played before, i would suggest that you try to be the axis in your first game, as they usually win the first few games in beginner games b/c the allies haven’t perfected working together, and the germans can take moscow easily if the russian player has no idea what he’s doing. if you are japan, then try to run wild on the mainland, maybe building a complex in manchuria by turn 3 or 4 (depending on how well you’ve done against india and china) to pump out tanks to take into russia. if you’re the allies, get ur allies to focus on taking out germany and africa first, and then japan second, and russia should buy all infantry, beacuse they are great on defense and can attack well if there are enough of them.
