Any word on the pre-order shipment of the Italian units? I noticed that the Italian Army is IN STOCK, just wondering if we can expect shipment prior to the holiday rush, or are we stuck with waiting until after the New Years?

The sculpts shown are not final.  There are revisions to them all.  The White Plastic images of Italy are final as they were made right out of the mould.

Fantastic. Those Italy pieces are exceptional, really looking forward to some house rules with that commander.

What do you guys think of this rule?

I want to add Marines back into the game, maybe just for U.S. and Japan.

Basically they only work on Islands, the same way as artillery - defend and attack @ 2. They cost $4 IPC but if they are used on land locked territory the resort back to just being regular infantry, so it’s like losing an $1 IPC per marine not placed on an Island. This doesn’t tweak the game too much and could really help Japan on turn 2 if she decides to stock marines in the Carolinas, or any other nearby island.

Good for WWI not for WWII.
I prefer blockhaus or capitals defender rules(stalingrad) or something like that.

I never did get D-Day so I don’t have any blockhouses. Would you mind telling me how these work, and does only Germany get them?

I was also wondering if Marines for US and Japan could be added or would those pieces not work well for Global. They could be great for defending the pacific Islands.

on j1 i buy 2 transports and a man. on j2 i buy 2 factories and a tank, if all looks good(i have 4 transports near india/burma), i build my factories on the islands, borneo and ei, i call it the “twin island factory” strategy. if u do this strat, u must marry/dedicate 4 transports to the factories so each one can produce 2 men and 2 tanks a turn. thats 4 men and 4 tanks every turn getting transported to the mainland. it is a little slower start then building factories on the mainland, but as soon as u r set up, u produce double the units then if ur factories were in burma and frindo. also island factories r pretty safe from russian tanks and allied bombers.

Factories can’t be built on Islands.
