i don’t hunt, i don’t use my firearms to kill. i am a target shooter. I had enough of shooting at people while in the corps. and yes guns were invented to kill and cars were not. that wasn’t my point, but thanks for pointing out the obvious. the point was that it is the person that kills, if you were to take all the guns in the world and have superman throw them into the sun what then? you actually think that people wont find other ways of killing eachother? at last with firearms around we can put our selves on the same plain as some crazy bastard out to hurt people.
i don’t shoot for a power trip, its actually quite humbling to fire a gun. i shoot because its fun when done safely, its challenging, and competitive.
People against guns cant get past the bad guy who shot some old woman, or robbed a gas station. there is a whole world of firearms out there, and from my experience the people that own firearms are more responsible in many aspects than people who have never fired a weapon before.
to the ignorant people who say guns are evil and cause nothing but pain, try joining a gun club, squeeze off a few rounds, have some fun, learn to be safe, and learn to master your seances.
by the way i started this forum for people that owned guns to get to gether and share our knowledge and experiences with firearms, not for some dim witted jerk to come in here and start preaching to me about the evil thing that is a gun.

yeah the crusader could get up close and personal with the germans, but the gun was to weak to do any good, they would just get blown away.

RE: Call of Duty United Offensiveposted in Other Games
this is as far as i am concerned the best WWII game ever ( in a video game format, we all know what the real best WWII game is otherwise we wouldn’t be here). the graphics are amazing, playability i flawless, and the sourrounding environment sucks you in. this game will consume me like MOH never could.

RE: Star Wars Battlefront 2posted in Other Games
i agree, the best Star Wars game yet. these people keep out doing themselves. nothing like getting the guys together, drinking, and shooting/slashing at eachother all night long.
Does that sound dirty? :-o

RE: Moralityposted in General Discussion
i treat morality like i treat religion. it is something that should not be forced on you, someone should not be able to tell you whats right and wrong, we(except for a few) know the difference between right and wrong. for me personally i do what i feel is right. i have a clear conscience, and this is with out talking to and begging for forgiveness from that ancient parental figure “GOD”. I also feel that their is a place for people with no morals to be, and that place is known as France.

@cystic:
Show 'em if you got 'em!
i’m guessing that the USans here will have a few good ones. F_alk - i’m going to be a right racist bastard and just assume that Germans know nothing about BBQ ribs.
i be to differ, my grandpa is 100% german, and old solider form WWII ( dont worry, regular army, not SS) and he can BBQ like thier is no tomarrow. he even BBQ’s really weird things like lettuce . hes nuts for sure, but he can sure make a damn good BBQ breakfast/lunch/dinner.

RE: D-Day Scenario Issueposted in Miniatures (Original)
in italy, the biggest problem patton and monty (notice the order of names ) came accros was terrain, more so in sicily. its rock and very uneven, extremely hard for tanks to manuver. thier were a few roads, but thats it. if you were to have a scenario there, and wanted to remain true to history you might want to think about treating the whole map like a mountian or a forst when it comes to a veicle ( each hex you take cast you 2 movment points, unless you stick to the roads)
Africa was abit easier, its just that tanks would need constant overhauls. pretty much drive for a day and spend all night cleaning them so they will work the next day, im not sure how i would handle this as far as movment points and rolling goes. -

Anyways, I’m truly impress that she (they) didn’t know that, but, hey, many people don’t even know where Canada is, so maybe it’s not that bad…
My 2 cents…

RE: Different Set-upposted in Miniatures (Original)
i have done that and more, it just gets really tedious. i played one 1000 point game with my buddy, took a whole weekend to finish. by the end we just wanted to be done with it and started having our units just charge at each other. i lost because i ran over 40 M1 garand guys with one of my shermans(that was a house rule we came up with, a tank can run you over and kill you unless you pass your duck and cover roll, but you cant roll a duck and cover roll if you are running over your own guys. we made our own map for this though, size wise it was about 30 ties the size of one map sheet.

RE: MODposted in Miniatures (Original)
As for Imperious Leader’s comments. It is a fine line that I don’t think is crossed by playing the game. You can say that you are changing history by playing the game in the first place and the first order of business is to end the attrocities both by Germany and by Japan.
both these countires did do some horrible things, but are you saying that America was completely Innocent in all respects. what about the Japanese camps we had in Cali.? what about the atom bombs we dropped on japan. sure it ended the war in a hurry, but how many Innocent lives were taken by us in those two attacks. are these things OK, is there nothing wrong with them? sure we didn’t saluter millions of people, or partake in the rape of Nanjing. the point is war is a horrible thing, and in order to end a war you most do horrible things. so who are the goods guys, to me America is and will always remain the good guys, but to say we didn’t do anything horrible in the war is just naive. don’t take this personally, its just how i feel and how i think.

RE: Firearms anyone????posted in General Discussion
guns can kill people, there fore people will think more of guns than other normal day things that kill. more people died from car related incidences, does that mean we should take all cars away too, i wonder what the gun hating people of the world would say if that was thrown on the table?

RE: The French Resistanceposted in Miniatures (Original)
my girlfriend is 100% German, and i actually got her to play with me the other night (kicked her butt :-D) she didn’t want to be the axis so i took them. at some point in the game i said that i wished their were Aussie troops. she said i was nuts and that their were no Aussies in WWII. After talking about this for awhile i also learned that she didn’t believe that their were Canadians in the war ether!! WOW!!! i have no idea what they teach German students about the war, but it seems that it lands far form the truth, i thought that was funny and messed up at the same time. I went on line and brought up a bunch of websites showing both countries actions in the war, she now believes me, but i wonder what else she thinks happened or didn’t happen.

How is the Carro a good value tank? One damage marker and there’s a very good chance it’s gone.
thats a good point, those things get wasted right away, they are really only efficient when you have a bunch of them, but thats the way it is with any of these things.
