i still stick by my original statement, we can not pull out of Iraq, but I ill say this, we should not be their, not in the force we have been anyway. what we did in Afghanistan was good, that needed to happen and i was damn proud to be a part of it. but Iraq was what Africa was to the Nazi’s (I’m not saying America has anything to do with the Nazi’s so calm down) Hitler had Rommel go take over Africa as a show of force move, it worked until Monty and patton got in the game. i think thats what were doing in Iraq now. while there we went allowed to engage, we were police essentially with our thumbs up our butts. i hope that someday soon a pollition will let us get the job done, if we were allowed to engage we could have cleaned house with in 2 weeks tops. the “WAR” would be over, then we could concentrate on the next target, because we all know that the next tartget would not be home for the solders. did that make any sense, i kind of rant when i talk bout this stuff.

i believe they are called bunker-buster bombs. i have seen these bad boys in action. they could get the job done by either blowing it up or dumping a bunch of earth on it, either way the facility would be useless after wards. America also knows where these things are, anything nuke like glows for our pretty satalights, so dig all you want but we can still see you. :lol:

i wasnt saying that you should be able tomove pill boxes and such in the game, that wold make no sence. i was saying that they should be loose pices that you can put anywhere for each game, i just dont want it to be part of a map, something you cant change (if new maps ever vome out that is)
each hex is about 800 yards if i remember right, a solder can move 1 hex in the movement phase, so if a soilder can move 800 yards in one turn they should also be able to dig a fox hole of some worth, but ok fine, lets say it takes 2 movment turns to fully dig a fox hole, would that be ok.
i can also come from experince on this, trying to dig a good fox hole in lose sand is not easy. :x -

RE: Where to buy?posted in Miniatures (Original)
when i statred hoarding these things i told myself F it, i want them all, if i want an all german army so be it, if i want an all japenese army, ok. i left myself open with options. i think thats the way to do it. hunt the individual pieces down and get them cheap when ever you can, watch ebay, once in a while a realy good deal pops up.

oohh i like that, but they should be moveable, i wouldnt want to play with the same pill box or what ever in the same place. fox holes or trenchs would be cool to. to dig a fox hole you could say take one movement turn to do it, then your in it and it would take one movement turn to get out of it, something like that.

dont forget about seargent Carlos Hathcock the Marine sniper who had the most confirmed kills in Nam. 93 confirmed to exact. he at one point took out a whole regement with his sniper rifle in a matter of minites. and a regiment is alot more than 4 or 6 solders.

throwing patton or rommel into the game would be cool, but they will never do it, at the best you can get a german commander called "feild Marshal’ and an american commander called “i dont know what to call patton other than patton, how about just 3 star general?”

if history has taught me one thing its that people can be pushed only so far, then its just a matter of time before someone takes control and gets things started. im mean himler was a chicken farmer before the whole nazi deal. anyone can become the next hitler, they just need the people to be weak enough to want anything other then what they have.

RE: What are the most effective units?posted in Miniatures (Original)
i played a big game the other day, it came down to me and my KV-1 agasint 2 king tigers. i won with out a scrath on my tank. (allthough he rolled the worst rolls ever recoded in the histrory of rolls, 3 times, i sh*t you not, 3 times he rolled all 1’s and then another time all 3’s.) the king tiger is amazing i will give it that, put aside the fac that my buddy had horrible rolls, the KV-1 would have gotten the crap kicked out of it.

@Rune:
rune blade-
im not looking for thanks, i did what i did because it needed to be done. i appricate what you said though and allthough i may not look or ask for it, but a thanks is a nice thing to get.It’s a damn shame you men and women in uniform are not receiving the praise you deserve. I am one of the grateful Americans for your service. Every time I meet a veteran either from WWII or from Iraq, I always tell them thanks. Thank you, Major.
Rune Blade
now if only i were a major instead of a sergent, actually i would probably still be in the service if i got that high up in the ranks.
thanks again guys, but as im sure you are well aware there are many other vets that get ignored and spit on by people. hell i got spit on 3 days ago because i was wearing my corps shirt, crazy bitch spit on me and called me a war monger, what the hell is that all about.
