RE: Series 2 focuses on Eastern Front in Russiaposted in Miniatures (Original)
one of the defining characteristics of a “tank” is the turret, this is true. but over the years the difanition of a “tank” has disolved, most people would see some armored machine of war and simply call it a tank. Armor, a big gun and some weels/treds and you got a tank, thats what it really comes down too now a days.
allthough the Jagpanther didnt have a turret it was one of the first " tanks" with if my memory serves me a reverse axel displacment set up, allowing the thing to pull a 180 in a shorter amount of time than most “tank” turrets took to rotate front to back.

this was just a “for the hell of it” deal. i had 13 47mm Type 1 Antitank guns, 5 Type 92 Machine-Gun Teams, and 3 Imperial Sergents (all Japenese, if you didnt all ready know) duke it out with 4 Jagdpanthers, 3 Tiger 1’s, and 8 Mauser Kar 98K’s.(all germans, once again if you didnt know) Can you guess who won?

RE: Map Questionposted in Miniatures (Original)
something as simple as scotch tape works, the maps are pretty sturdy and can handle takeing the tape off with out ripping it. i have also made my own maps, more acurate maps i should say. i spent about 2 weeks building a “hedgerows” map. i havnt played it yet, but what ever force is not on the defensive is going to have a hell of a time moving. should be fun though.
to solve the laying down flat problem my buddy just cut all the maps up into smaller peicees that layed flat, this turned into a nightmare. the smaller map sections were to light, he sneezed and things just went everywhere, i thought it was funny.yeah my first post!!!
