can either drag units from one country to another. or click on the unit in the little “tools” box and then click on the country you want to add to. To delete units click on the bomb in the “tools” box and then click on the unit you want to get rid of.

i posted this in a different forum, but it is prob most appropriate here.

There are two good ways to keep track of the board in a PBE/PBF game:

      1. www.motcreations.com download the mapview program then go to http://aamc.net/dloads.shtml and download the module (the second file on the page) and put the module in the “modules” directory of the mapview program. Mapview has many modules that can be used for several games (chess, aaae, ……)

      -or-

2). http://aamc.net/dloads.shtml and download the “aaamap v.96 Beta”.

Mapview has a MUCH better graphical interface (the aaamap is pretty rough around the edges), but aaamap has a really great feature that counts all the units on the board, so you can see exactly how the world stacks up at any given moment. I think I prefer mapview, mostly because of the graphics and because you can add as many maps as you want to a single file so you can see how the board progresses by turn, but with the aaamap, you have to save each turn under a differnt name see to game progression. (is that a run-on sentence? )

    • RE: Axis bid to Japan Rather than Germany?

hey sud. seems like you have a lot of experience. I’d like to see you play a game on the forum sometime. i don’t have the time right now, b/c i am in the middle of a game but maybe versus darth maximus (or baby huey)?? when you say bid of 20 or so, you mean w/o RR right?

thanks. i knew it was legal, i was just looking for a specific example to disprove his logic.

    • Rule clarification

my friend argued that you cannot place us ftr on uk newly built ac in round one. i couldn’t find a specific part in the rule book saying that it is allowed. can you help with this? his main argument was that the countryies’ turns in each round happen all at the same time and so, since you can’t land a newly or already built ftr on a newly built ac (in uk turn 1), you can’t land a us ftr on a newly built uk ac

    • RE: Bidding Systems

i didn’t realize how much it makes a difference until i recently played Wild2000. Against an allied player that knows what he is doing, it strengthens the US and weakens any japanese attempt to try and cause the us to divert resources to protecting the homland from alaska. in 2nd edition, you can sit all your “european ready” troups in w.canada before they cross the ocean.

    • RE: When and where are tourneys

i would like to be one of the byes, but that doesn’t seem fair to the people who have made it through 1 or two rounds. perhaps we just wait until the next tourney. i am up for an interim game until then though. after wild took berlin in round 3, i think i have spent enough time licking my wounds/pride. (was a little different than playing the AI that builds transports w/o having any infantry to transport on the computer game)

    • Japan Navy

What do you guys do with the japanese navy during the game?

Seems like such a waste to just sit there, but with all the US and UK cannon fodder (trns) in the atlantic, you really can’t go off and try to do some real damage by trying to be agressive.

    • New member wanting to play first PBEM (PBF) game.

hi. was wondering if anybody wanted to play a game on the forum. perhaps any of the losers in the 1st round of the fall tourney?

I have only played the board game once.
I have played the computer game alot and i think i grasp the game pretty well so far, but i haven’t played any humans since i fully understood the rules and concepts/strategies.
I also have monitored several of the forum games….

Any interest? (there might be some “hand holding” regarding dicey, bid rules, move format since this is my first game…)
