In WWII most fighters did not carry a large quantity of bombs, so their damage was from rocket pods or strafing with machine guns and cannon. A soldier with a sub-machine gun or mounted 50 cal. could shoot down a low flying plane on a strafing run.

The infantry has an enhanced attack when supported by artillery. If the artillery is lost, the infantry is no longer supported by the artillery; therefore, it reverts to its normal attack of “1”.

Hitler had a lot of ‘quiet time’ in prison, and he organized his thoughts on seizing power and raising Germany’s power and prestige in the world view. He set this up as a guideline, and he followed it. People who read it at that time didn’t believe it, I guess.

I agree with U-505’s reasoning. The combat phase of that turn is completed prior to unit placement. The hostile forces still have the option to engage or remove themselves from the disputed sea zone during their turn.
