I like the switch in focus since I typically like playing japan anyway. However, I find the maps not lining up a little irritating. I will so have to download a supreme 42.2 map assuming one is eventually on the way.

I think adding a couple of lend lease destroyers to the british home fleet would be a good bid. One at the very least.

Ha, I just now noticed you had the same houserule minus the India requirement. We can’t be the only ones thinking China needs some help

First of all Mallery’s houserule should be a requirement. That said, I think a good house rule would be as long as UK controls India, the US can place 1 free infantry in China each turn. Its to simulate flying supplies over the hump and China’s large population. Strictly speaking burma would be a more realistic requirement but this gives India that much more importance.

RE: 1942 Second Edition Preview 2: Map & Setupposted in Axis & Allies 1942 2nd Edition
I do think they did a good job with the map, errors aside. Imperious Leader will just make a new and improved map anyway, which I will be sure to use. I don’t really like multiple piece maps, if it can be moved, jostled, bumped out of position i’ll do it.

well our little back and forth didn’t smoke out any confirmations, their lips are puckered.

RE: Is China at least 3 territories?posted in Axis & Allies 1942 2nd Edition
Disappointment doesn’t figure in, if I don’t like what I see from the coming review then I won’t preorder. There’s always global later this year where you more or less know what your getting. A&A always seems to incorporate new things so I wouldn’t be surprised if its a little global, a little anniversary, and a little something new.

Well first of all, I don’t see how this topic would be worthy of a prank, since we will know soon enough. You haven’t given me any reason not to believe the guy, you’re speculation wasn’t any more compelling than his supposed first hand knowledge. I just take it for what it is. Lastly, post count in a forum is not a good indication that the person knows what they are talking about. I just found the notion that the price would be based on outrageous OOP prices to be humorous. I got the impression that he might be one of those who paid hundreds for an OOP copy and is not too happy that a similar game would now go for around $60.

RE: Is China at least 3 territories?posted in Axis & Allies 1942 2nd Edition
i don’t have any reason not to believe the guy but if they were to reprint AA Anniversary do you really think they’d charge $300 a pop? :? Come on now.

RE: Is China at least 3 territories?posted in Axis & Allies 1942 2nd Edition
that is a pretty promising list. I missed on anniversary with no intention of paying the going rate, will get the 1940 reprints but global probably wouldn’t hit the table often. What your describing seems like a little anniversary and a little global, not bad at all.

RE: Anti-Aircraft Artillery revealed!posted in Axis & Allies 1942 2nd Edition
Are the US colors dark green or olive drab? I was going to get some supplement pieces from Historical board gaming and wanted to know the right color for the US units. Really looking foward to this and the other reprints later this year.
