      Imagine it conceptually as the repair having to occur on the turn AFTER the damage was incurred.

      So if on turn 1 your BB takes a hit, and it ends its turn adjacent to a naval port, the damage repair will occur on turn 2 during the purchase/repair phase.

      Now keep in mind that if your BB gets damaged on turn 1, but does NOT end its turn adjacent to a friendly naval base, then you won’t be able to repair the damage on turn 2, because you’ll only have an opportunity to move your BB to a naval base during combat or noncombat movement phase, which happens AFTER the purchase/repair phase. So you’ll have to move the BB to the naval base on turn 2, and then repair it on turn 3.

      No, you can only place major IC’s on originally owned territory of that power. So Germany could place is on norway since they originally owned it but no other power could since…well it’s Germany’s original territory.

      It’s all one turn. There is no separate Europe UK and Pacific turn its all one turn. So all UK units move once. The only thing that is separate is purchasing and placing units. UK is one country just like germany is one country and Russia is one country and japan is one country. The only thing different about UK from everyone else is you keep your purchases separate and your unit placement separate on the europe and pacific side of the boards.

      So you purchase for the Europe UK and Pacific UK on the same turn. Keeping the money from each board separate. Then at combat movement phase it becomes one entity just like all the other countries. At the CM and NCM there is no Europe UK and Pacific UK there is just the UK. Does that help?
      Then when you place units and collect money you once again keep the economies separate as well as unit placement. What UK pacific buys can’t be placed on the European side of the board and vice versa.

      So once again UK is one entity you don’t move twice and they are not two separate powers as far as movement of units on the board is concerned.

      Rulebook says:

      When Germany Is at War with the Soviet Union:
      • 5 IPCs per territory if Germany controls Novgorod (Leningrad), Volgograd (Stalingrad), and/or Russia (Moscow).
      Theme: High strategic and propaganda value.

      The “or” indicates that it is 5 IPC per territory. Be it one , two or three.

      One sub point that Argo didn’t mention is that if you commit the transports to the attack, and the naval battle fails, that the whole surviving group retreats together, with the land units stuck on the transports until the next turn.  This makes them very vulnerable to being destroyed, which makes this type of combined sea/amphibious attack high stakes.

      This is also why you have to commit to the battles at the same time; not only does it keep the flow of play clean but it also forces you to analyze all the risks you are taking at the same time.  Reshuffling your unit allocations in other planned battles after the first combats are seen is also a no-no, though in a friendly game it is ok to make some revisions.

      Still, since you can choose the order you fight battles in, this can be helpful.  You can see the outcome of 1-2 big battles, and then know whether the smaller battles are worth fighting to the bitter end, whether its more important to take the territory vs just clear it.  You do have to fight at least 1 round of combat for every declared battle, my point is that gaining certain information as to the outcome of one important battle can be instructive of the need to fight other battles to their bitter conclusion or withdraw early.

      We fight in this order, not sure if its required in all versions by the letter of the rules, but it can make the game have a cleaner flow…

      Declare all combats, unit buy is sealed and cannot be changed after we begin to do;

      strategic bombings in any order then sea combats without land element in any order sea combats with a landing in any order land combats in any order don’t do any noncoms zero zilch none until now because it keeps the separation of turns and moved units cleaner I realize its tempting…

      lots of teams only have 1-2 combats to declare per turn so focusing on doing all your combats first (and ignoring units that will noncom) is also an easy way to keep your mind focused on one task at a time;  things that fight get committed first and everything else can be contemplated at length after combats are resolved.

      @Smack:

      Hello Forum, another Q on spring 42. Suppose U.K. conquers Norway and begins  a shuttle of troops along with the US and as partners decide it best to allow US to build an IC on Norway,
      Is this permitted?

      No, it is not.

      @rulebook:

      Place new industrial complexes in any territory that you have controlled since the start of your turn and that has an income
      value of at least 1.

      So only UK can build IC on UK controlled territories.

      HTH :-)
