Maybe i missed something but can you use something to represent a peice of infantry or tank or whatever if there are no more units but there are chips, because in one game in the first trn the allies all spent their money on industrial complexes and nobody else could build industrial complexes and they’re movemnt was completely crippled or if your run out of infantry you can only have a certain amount of groups.  SO in short are yoou allowed to run out of peices or are you allowed to substitute?

It makes them weaker then they should be against infantry but it seems pretty reralistic.  Thank you very much.

    • RE: Favorite Naval Unit?

I Japan uses its Navy right and gets a few good rolls it can be producing a battleship and destroyer per turn which makes is a Navy that can by Prue brute force and ability to survive, (battleships) just about invincible.

In short, blast the living sh*t out of anything that moves and doesn’t move in Africa and then use Japan to annoy the hell out of America by using your battleships in one on one conflicts in island areas and invade South America with some artillery, preferably using  the Tokyo-Express National Advantage.

    • The Russians were a bit insane anyway and now it can help

As i do not own the game,(yet, my mother and my grade are not in Harmony right now), I do not know the individuals set-ups and territories but I would like to know what you think of my new Russian strategy that can only work once:  All western units retreat to Russia and then one builds two fighters and a piece of artillery, then as i see it the German player will be amazed at this and proceed to push all units forward towards Russia, which seems like a tactically sound move, but does not attack Russia yet because all units have retreated, there are some exceptions perhaps such as stray fighters and bombers but mainly he does not attack  because all targets are a turn away.  then Britain and America both build as many fighters as they can.  Then on Russiases turn it does something amazing, it attacks with all units available which seems like total suicide, which it is, but it severely weakens germany, then once this is over, instead of fortifying Russia you build 6 artillery ad retreats its remaining eastern units to the west a bit.  Then Germany will proably continue to attack as seeing he can probably conquer Russia build all tanks and presses onward.  Then Britain invades germany on the Americans turn using joint stirke, (which is a key part of the strategy) which isn’t really fortified using some tanks infantry and mainly air support.  Then in Russia’s next turn its remaining russaian units attack Russia and immediately produce as many infantry as it can.  Then basically Britain produces tanks America invades Africa and the and the allies invade japan, now this strategy will have to be revised and edited but i think i might be able to work and besides it would be fun to play anyway.  Please post your input.

    • New units

I am trying to make a new unit in particular, it being calvary.  i would like to have some input on this new unit.  I Think that this would be a wonderful new unit yet there doesn’t seem to be a way to make it without making it useless or making artillery and it be the same, while you are playing with d6s.

Do you think that Russia can survive against Germany.  Also I would like to list and interesting first turn build for Russia, two fighters and a piece of artillery.  What do you think of this?

    • How much do you play and think about A&AR

It might just be my friend and me but we know the set-ups by heart and discuss the game  every day for 30 minutes at least and play two games per day at least with by ourselves and with each other every chance we get, is this normal?, or are we obsessed?  Also what about you, how often do you play this game?

    • RE: Favorite Unit?

May I point out that for some countries there is no best unit, even mathematically, for instance for Japan, Britain and America what good is the fighter if it can’t take territories, or the infantry if it can’t get there?, or for Russia if you favor one unit there is no way that germany will not win because you just simply don’t have the economic ability to produce enough good units and germany is to good for you to mainly produce bad ones.  Also germany on the other hand has the ability to produce a decent amount of good units, but it by it’s self even when it conquers all of Asia doesn’t take enough victory cities to win.  So as you can see there is no “best unit”.  And as for favorite what good is a favorite if it cannot do anything really? So all in all this is a stupid question.
