I don’t think I’m going to try that strategy of moving into the Med too soon. Japan was left really, really weak. Perhaps strat bombing on India, perhaps collecting the extra 8IPC J1 from leaving FIC French could have made a difference. I guess building but never using an IC on Malaya was bad. As was not really defending the North.

Perhaps a problem is that the German fleet got way too far from Gibraltar.

As I’ve done too often I gave up Norway too easily. If I had no transports nearby, should have had some troops within reach.

@Karl7 Not keen to play allies without a significant bid in my favour. At our level the Axis absolutely have the edge. I think players should stop giving bids to the Axis!

Thanks for a good game. Yeah Japan got under a lot of pressure. And the russians didn’t get hurt for using all their eastern troops against Japan as well as some fast movers.

Wow! Didn’t notice THAT! Looks like going to the Allies though. Adam514 is a really hard player to play. Just playing Adam, you’re wondering how on earth you’re going to win. I suspect maybe JuanSpain just got a bit carried away with trying something different here.

I just wonder how this game would have gone had you kept your US fleet with the ANZAC fleet, and prevented the ANZAC crush? Wasn’t long after that that I took Moscow. So maybe I would have gotten Moscow anyway. Or maybe USA had to take its focus off Europe? I would guess the former, but Germany was seeming pretty weak. Perhaps I still would have taken Calcutta on the same highly delayed schedule.

Either way, the ANZAC crush consumed USA in the Pacific for a few turns and I didn’t have to fight around Indonesia at all.

Anyway, great game. I think with Germany busting through NW Persia, the Allies days are numbered.

Was stupid, didn’t think it trough. I had to invest too much in the pacific…

I think the G4 DOW was a big factor there.
