      @Ichabod:

      @simon33:

      Strikes me that the factory downgrade when you lose and regain a major is harsh and arguably unfair.

      What if factories are limited to the production value of the territory if not on original soil, but also limited by the type of factory? .

      Do you mean this restriction (of producing only the value number of the territory) only to apply for the countries that capture the major, like Japan capturing India, or the US landing on W. Germany just to reduce the factory to a minor?

      I would think this would be another way to add some balance. Forward factories next to Russia only producing 2 units for Germany…ect.

      Yeah, that’s what I’m saying.

      I’m happy to go again in 2018.

      I actually think that Allies will significantly have the advantage in BM if Allied play can improve like I think it can, not just a slight advantage. I just haven’t proved it yet.

      Not only that, but 10 inf + planes is normally nowhere near enough to defend Moscow from Germany’s mobile force.

      A second unit to SZ96 is normally wise. You want to sink that transport.

      Also, that tank would have been more useful reinforcing Egypt UK2 rather than attacking TransJordan. Attacking TJ is something I probably would have done, but with 1 inf only and take the 1 in 9 risk that the defenders roll 2 hits on the first round.

      Thanks for the game. I was wondering what the Allies were planning for the last couple of turns or perhaps just hoping that I’d throw away my winning position?

      Thanks for the game.

      That’s the problem with the Spanish beachhead. Japan goes wild! You need a huge amount of USA’s income to keep it going.

      I thought you should have attacked W India the turn before. I also think you could have lost a bomber in the attack on India but then I would have just been able to retake it.

      Anyway, I’m not really sure why I haven’t had more success with this plan. I think I just haven’t sorted out the nuances. The naval base on Iceland allows you to sail around a blocker in SZ124, but two blockers can still stop the advance. You also need to be careful that they can’t sink your fleet in SZ123. Besides those two problems, I think the plan is great!

      Happy to play again when you’re up for it.

      Not sure if I was clear before. I absolutely agree that I won this on the basis of very lucky dice rolls at key moments.

      And sorry about NW Persia. Didn’t realize I couldn’t do that.

      Again, thanks for the game.

      20 finished games will probably take a couple months.

      If you want to start a rematch when I get closer to that, I’d be willing to play again.

      Axis dice didn’t do you any favors in this match.

      I figured if Italy sent everything in range on a suicide mission, they might weaken Paris enough for the Germans to have a chance at sacking it.

      But I acknowledge, even if that worked, Axis will still have lost the initiative.

      Sorry that turned out to be such a short match.  :|
