      @DrLarsen:

      I checked my “junk” folder to see if my hotmail spam filter had sweeped it up in their dragnet… and no, I didn’t get one either…

      I suspect something is amiss with your missive Jeremy!

      Yeah, I checked my spam box too and didn’t see it

      No, I haven’t used them before, but if you’re not sure about them you could make a small order and if it works out ok, make a larger order (if you need one) afterward.  They have free shipping, so it won’t cost you extra if you make multiple orders.

    • RE: Invading Europe as the USA

      @The:

      You need 16 transports

      Move 8 transports fully loaded from Nos-UK Next turn Move the 8 trans plus some fleet to z110 make sure the Brits have fighters ready to scramble or use your own and make sure you can defend z110 it is the key. Then on the same turn move 4 fully loaded transports from NOS-UK then next turn move those back and then move the other 4 fully loaded to UK and vice versa. Every turn move units from EUS-NOS to be picked up. Then bridge them to Normandy every turn

      In that scenario you would only need to send 4 transports on the initial move (the ones that will end up at sz110) since you will only ever be landing 4 transports worth of units in the UK on each turn.  Although, having more there would be beneficial if you plan to do larger invasions later in the game.

      @DrLarsen:

      does one of the generic trays have the extra compartment for the dice (presumedly for the Chinese dice) and the other one lack that extra compartment?

      The dice compartment is on the left hand side in the bottom tray

    • RE: AAG40 FAQ

      I have a question relating to the convoy zones.

      If german subs are in seazone 98 (adjacent one French territory worth 1 IPC and two UK territories worth 1 IPC and 2 IPCs), he can use one sub to blockade Egypt (2IPCs), but does he need two more subs to blockade Syria (1IPC) and Trans Jordan (1IPC), or can a single sub blockade both 1IPC territories?

      I’m assuming a single sub can’t blockade two separate territories (similar to transports not being able to drop infantry off in two separate territories) but just want to be sure.

      Once again, awesome, awesome work.  I can’t believe how much I can zoom in and still have a clear resolution!

      I can’t wait to see the end product.

      I have some different colors for the convoy markers that I want feedback on.

      Seazone 43 is my personal favourite. It blends well with the sea and stands out without being overly bright

      @gsh34:

      See my first post.  I’ve edited and updated it.

      That is really great quality! I like what you did with the Hawai’i convoy marker too - it really stands out.

      Keep up the great work, mate. I can’t wait to see your finished product.

    • RE: AAG40 FAQ

      Could someone explain the scrambling rule to me in regard to amphibious assaults?

      I’ll use this scenario as an example:

      **UK has 2 battleships and a cruiser and is landing 4 infantry via 2 transports.
      Germany has 2 infantry and 3 fighters in the territory being attacked.

      UK intends to use his naval power to bombard the territory before the infantry go ashore, but Germany declares that he is going to scramble his three fighters. **

      Does UK now have to assign part of his fleet to battle the fighters and part of his fleet to conduct bombardment (for instance: 1 battleship and 1 cruiser will take on the fighters and 1 battleship will bombard the territory), or do all of the naval ships battle the fighters and any ships remaining after the battle get to bombard, or is it something totally different?

      I understand the other part of the scramble rule where it’s fleet on fleet, but I’m a bit confused by the amphibious side of it.
