      @Afrika:

      1 fgt. = 10 IPC

      Lol, okay lets stick with ftr. for fighter, fgt is special for sexual preference, but I dont contest that one would be 10ipcs.

    • RE: D-DAY Question

      " It almost failed anyway, but air power kept it alive. "

      It didnt even come close to failing, they expected to win with around 60% casualties, but ended up with only 10-20%.

      anyone got the exact numbers?

    • RE: Germany strategy, impossible to beat…..

      I like the strategy, but I think if the Allies only buy planes and send them over to russia to help, it might change things up a bit~

      Yea, I dont know how the majority of ppl see the India/IC purchase, but in my mind its dead. The UK should just concentrate on taking Berlin~

      Youve prolly been playing with yer friends for too long, same thing happened to me. Then I went to the #triplea channel and hooked up with some ppl online - it was crazy how fast games can be over. As the axis you hold the power to how fast the game goes. Try buying all tanks for the first few rounds as germany, get ready to surrender w.eur, and go for taking moscow with the help of the japs of course - or just go play some ppl online and youll see what i mean…

    • RE: German Opener/Strategy (Slightly long-winded)

      Indeed it would only be a strategy to be used if REALLY needed, but could be whats needed to win.

      A couple of thoughts… I agree, taking caucas is key, get that factory, and if it looks like russia will be able to get it back, have japan land all its planes in there, usually around 4-6 planes can help defend and keep it yours.

      Also, you mentioned a Pearl Harbor being counter attacked by the americans… there really shouldnt be one, dont send in any BBs or trannies, just use that sub, the DD, and planes and bombers. Think of it as more of a strafing attack.

      Trannies are needed as japan in the beginning, but as soon as theyve cleared off all of japans islands, use them to take alaska.

      As germany, I might not buy infantry first round, if it works for you great, but one time you should just buy straight tanks for as many rounds as it seems possible. Plus, if russia was able to attack karelia, you would have nothing in range of making him pay for it, a first round purchase of tanks makes it posible for you to counter attack it. A stack of 25 tanks with a couple inf. and yer planes can be enuf to take russia down (sometimes). Also, I thought the amount of troops you were using in the first round defence of w.eur was too much. I would prolly use that baltic tranny to place another tank in karelia or something… also, I wouldnt buy 2 subs a round as germany, just get mo’ tanks! :P

    • RE: Which nation requires the least skill to play as?

      What about the UK, they only have like 10 units on the board for the first few rounds. How can you make a lot of mistakes when you have nothing to use to do it ?

      America is pretty straight forward too…

      Ok so hold everything, when German has Karelia/Belorussia/Ukraine - and if yer playing Russia you just let them have that extra 7ipcs ? Maybe your right, that is the way to go, i dunno, i play my way and it works pretty good.

      Ive got the tripleA game of revised, wanna have a game by email ? The worst that can happen is I lose, but learn a lot - Im up for that >;}

      PS: FoE ??

      …but then i evolved to getting 1 ftr. / 4 inf. to gain the ability to trade 3 territories per round with germany…

      @Mr.G:

      …What would be the reason for buying a fighter at all for Russia?..

      Are you skim reading or something? There are 3 main territories form W.Russia that can/should be traded each round, how do you plan to do that with 2 ftrs and no bombers?

      I used to really like 8 inf. - used to, but then i evolved to the 2 arm. / 4 inf. to get better defence of caucas after the first round - used to, but then i evolved to getting 1 ftr. / 4 inf. to gain the ability to trade 3 territories per round with germany…

      …and thats where i am right now. what would be the reason for getting 2 ftrs. on the first round me wonders… ??
