Wow.  So they do. I guess it was a mistake by the creator of the module to leave them out.  I had been thinking last game that it would have been really nice to have them. :)

Ah well, it doesn’t really change my move any.  Go ahead with Italy when you’re ready.

This indicates the importance of waking up the sea crews prior to a war.

Here we go again!  Same Jan 11th setup.  This time I will be the Allies.  If nothing else this should provide better playtesting data.

I think I’d learn more by playing as the Allies at this point.  I totally agree with your point that letting the DEI go so easy was a major problem.  I was just deathly afraid of bringing the US in any earlier than I had to.

After giving this game a great deal of thought, I am prepared to go ahead and call it in your favor, Jeff.  I might win, but it seems unlikely given those two big screwups I made earlier.  Sealion is a remote possibility, taking another 2 or 3 rounds.  I could crush Calcutta next round, but it would put Japan in a terrible place defensively.  I’d just as soon start over at this point.

You up for a rematch?  Same setup and all that.

Interesting move in Russia, by the way.  Feel free to update the map with your suggested changes if you feel like it, otherwise I think I’ll be able to do it myself tomorrow.  Night!

The broad sweep of that sounds fine.  I also just noticed that Germany lost 5 IPCs for lack of the Egypt NO (The Egyptian garrison ran away.  He had been told it was a ceremonial position.)  I’m headed to bed.  I might not have a chance to put up Japan’s turn for a while, but I’ll get to it as soon as I have time and brains to spare.

Oh, and I forgot to mention my tanks blitzing through the Bal on their way to Epl.  If you’re cool with adding it on now, Germany gets one more IPC.  If not, no big deal.
