    • RE: What should Japan do in a KJF game?

I say in a KJF scenario, Japan MUST fight on the main land in Asia, and here’s why:
Each of the islands on the Pacific is only worth one IPC each, whereas, the mainland territories are 2 or 3 IPC’s each. In order to survive a KJF, Japan needs to expand its limited income base really help the Germans spread out Allied resources.

    • RE: It´s here! The Enlarged Gameboard for use with Revised Edition 2004

That board is AWESOME. It’s cool how they have pictures from World War 2 in the countries/ territories. Want to get it, but don’t have any money.

    • RE: Operation: Sealion

So true. Montgummery and Eisenhower were better strategists than Rommel, simply because they didn’t have an arrogance that many generals on the German High Command would have had. The Germans had very easy victories over Poland, the Low Countries, France and Norway. They felt like they could do anything and they would destroy everyone. Hitler was willing to devote all to the Eastern Front, but Italy’s desire to get an African Empire distracted him from the real task at hand. What do you think

      About the 2 scenario setup…
Will be 2 setup areas (what a nightmare) or another map?

    • RE: News flash: AXIS & ALLIES ANNIVERSARY EDITION due out oct 23 08

Finally, Russia gets some additional cash at the beginning of the game. This could help the Allies win faster(in my opinion), but it will be interesting how Italy will fit with the Axis. Perhaps, the new Axis strategy will be:
Italy fights in Africa (possibly the Middle East) and tries NOT to get Germany distracted by Germany being forced to send troops there
Germany can now finally focus its attention on the Eastern front and against D-Day
Japan now can focus on taking mainland Asia
      What do you think? :?

    • RE: China as a new sub-player

I’ll be honest, does anyone have an idea of how china will be used as a “sub-player” to the US?

    • RE: Italy as a new Axis player

I think that Italy can really help the Axis powers in the Anniversary Edition (even though it didn’t help in WW2), but when would Italy play in the order of turns?

    • RE: Tech rolls

Tech rolls make no sense. The only useful ones are heavy bombers and long-range airplanes.
