I personally like the new rule for SBR. It may not initially affect the places bombed, but if left uncared for, that can really hurt by reducing IC potential production.

It would be more realistic if nations were allowed to violate neutrals, at least I think.

But if the Allies take and hold W. Europe then the IC turns into a big liability…

That’s part of the risk. However, with an IC producing units on turn 2 without wasting a turn to move those units to W. Europe can be a bonus to the Germans.

If you people write up more information about who sold what to and from Sweden, then you need to make a History thread for Sweden. I unintentionally thought i was moving Timerovers History post to the History section, but i just moved the entire thread by accident. Everything is corrected. How do you do it Imperious Leader? Is this your full time job? (If you don’t mind me asking) There must be thousands of things you have to deal with daily. You should get some serious paid vacation for all your work in my opinion.

Air power and destroyers will destroy that strategy, but it will take time to build these units for the UK. This may be a good strategy if the Germans want to disrupt the Allied shipping chain.

The British better get another one. 3 ICs makes Russia stronger than in any previous A&A game.

Wonder why Larry changed that? Maybe he thought that that would make the Chinese a problem to the Japanese (makes it more realistic). What think the masses upon this?

However, history would have recorded the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics the winner because, and this is my personal opinion, Europe would have folded like a deck of cards and America would have sued for peace long before being invaded itself.

I don’t agree. The United States had a much superior economy and military at the end of world war 2 and through most of the cold war. I don’t think ALL of Europe would have folded (at least not the UK and its satelites), but the French definately would.

Does anyone know how the victory city concept will come into effect in Anniversary, because Larry said that Victory Cities would play a greater role. Could that mean loss of IC’s for each Victory City lost or additional IC’s gained (as a bonus) for having additional Victory Cities?

If they went with the situation as of June, 1942, the Axis would be in their best position of the war.  Germany would be pretty deep into Russia, Battle of the Atlantic in full swing, US still recovering from Pearl Harbor, and the Japanese would control Bornea, the East Indies, the Philippines, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and Burma, Rommel would be knocking on the door in the Mid East.  The big question will be the Allied starting units and positions, National Advantages, and Victory Conditions.  Does the UK player get more units in the Mid East?  Does the US player get another carrier, and a full complement of planes on the carrier, and what about the new battleships, cruisers, and destroyers commissioned in 1942?  Does the Russian player gets some tanks, as the T-34 started showing up in number in late 1941, and some aircraft?  What are the starting IPC for each country?

Maybe militarily from a territorial perspective, but from a logistics perspective, the Axis were too far spread out. The blitzkreig machine that was Germany had frozen to a halt in Russia (in some cases, quite literally.) Japan had too much territory, too few troops and resources to hold them all.
