Thunder: Excellent work! That map is awesome!

Is there a battle of France element to the game?

    • RE: Axis and Allies Europe-1939?

I’ve had to set it aside for a couple of weeks here, BUT I promise some more in the next couple of days. I’m thinking of using a variation of
The Vichy Rule from xeno’s W@W…

Also will post the force set ups for Swededn, Ireland, Turkey and Spain.
It should work well with the infuence rules you came up with earlier.

Just imagine- you are the axis player, the mighty Afrika Corps has
thrust thru the British Defenses in the Meditereanean. Iran has fallen, you stand poised to attack the Caucausus when suddenly, Turkish armored forces under the command of the Soviet Union Crash into your flank!

For 2 people I’d say Axis & Allies Pacific. The other games are more fun with multiple players, IMHO.

I was not repeating my opinion.

Teri is not in a coma nor a waking coma-
      that is a fact.

For “shouting” I sincerely apologise to All.

      touche, F alk-

      Well played.

I was thinking of those who were wrongfully imprisoned.
That is a different topic. Certainly, resitution should be made to
the victims survivors or his estate.

    • RE: Bush

I have no problem with putting murderers to death.

I’ve had a long talk about this with my preist and keep
having the same conclusion. Not to get religous on everybody
but as a Christian I embrace the doctrine of forgiveness.

I have forgiven all who have done me wrong in my life and will continue to do so.

Someone who can put together a cold, calculated plan to end the life of someone else, deserves the exact same in return- in the form of a well organised trial
      where evidence is produced,
      and witnesses are called,
      and counter witnesses tesify,

and when the conviction (if the evidence is unimpeachable!)
is upheld after 13 yrs of legal wrangling,
then the judgement of the State should be,
      upheld!

      and carried out.

please don’t respond with the “what about the guy who was put to
death and then they found the real guy…” those are the exceptions and
those are the folks who really should sue for boatloads of $$$

    • RE: Terri Shindler-Schaivo Right to Die/Live…Your opinion??

A few things about this case:

The more I hear about this “procedure” the sicker it makes me.
(Cystic-you are the resident medic-perhaps you could
describe what happens in this “procedure”).

The husband Michael should keep his mouth shut- he is comming across as a 1st class Sleezeball. His appearance on the Larry King Softball
game was also sickening. On the program, Michael indicated Teri’s
      parents were constantly demanding money….

The Media misrepresentation of Teri’s condition is likewise sickening.
She’s been described as comatose when she clearly isn’t…

I don’t think this can really be classifed as a “Right to die”
case. Sorry folks this issue gets me really steamed up!

El Jefe- excellent topic as usual!

    • Blitzing-

Situation: German Player has armor in E. Europe.
Germany wants to attack Karelia. Assuming the attack would be sucessful against Karelia AND the armor units in E. Europe weren’t used in the Karelia operation, could German Armor in E. Europe Blitz thru Karelia for an attack on Moscow?

Would the above scenario be permissable only if said armor WAS
      part of the Karelian Invasion?

    • RE: Bewitched, Bothered, Billy-Goated

The Kay Report clearly state there were WMD programs.

In an American Court conspiracy to commit X, typically carries the
      same weight as committing X.

Therefore, if there are miles of documents and witness testimony saying that we were working on WMD’s, you got WMD’s. This isn’t a very difficult
thing to believe. The report indicates there is still a bunch of documents to sift thru (and asked additional resources -read as $$$) to go through
      it all.

    • RE: Axis and Allies Europe-1939?

I am liking the spy rules. Winter rules are good.

What should the USSR deployment look like?
I thinkl on the first round USSR units should be defensing only on
a 1 like in Axis and Allies Pacific.

US: deployment is the same as in AAE- But US foces cannot intervene
until Winter 1941. UNLESS, UK ins invaded in which case they are activated immediately. They can begin limited operations
in Spring 1940- move destroyer to US convoy zones(s)

1 time British patriotic movement: Ay any time after Spring 1940,
The US can deliver it’s Destroyer and Trans to the UK, who replace them with peices of their own at the end of the Next uk turn.
This would simulate the “Bases for Destroyers deal” between
      Roosevelt and Churchill…
