I just wonder, why Germany doesn’t have enought control markers in my box to cover Soviet Union with Western Europe?
Is it okay?

Anyway…you spent time for reading and now you are enlightened…
Yes, Wikipedia is useful. :) -

As a Russian I am impressed by your knowledge of our history. Bravo!

Yes, old good Hollywood films…
By the way, I didn’t know where to express surprise about Moscow being the capital in a&a 1914 so I write it here. -
Each air attack is to be considered as a strategical bombing raid.
Hello everybody, I am quite new to a&a and was a bit dissapointed when realized that infantry can destroy air units while defending. Wouldn’t it be better to consider every air attack on industrial complexes and armies as a bombing raid? I mean if I have one British bomber in Africa , it can attack an Italian infantry only once, if it rolls 5 or more, the infantry is okay, if not, Italians loose it. If Italians have a fighter in the territory which share borders to the fighting area, they can send it as an interceptor and defend infantry.
Maybe this thing has been discussed here already, my apologies then. I think this rule could make players struggle for air superiority and it seems more logical, however, the game might loose some balance -

Thanks for the answers, however the rule is very odd. How can infantry take down a strategic bomber? :)

RE: A few questions to ask. a&a europe 1940
I mean if I attack with 1 bomber and 1 infantry and defender has 1 bomber and 1.infantry and he decides to take his bomber away as I cause 1 damage… he has no chance to win then.
Land units may not attack air units that what I mean…simply
Well, we enjoyed the match, axis captured Ussr and Italy got Cairo.
Thanks for asking. :) -
RE: A few questions to ask. a&a europe 1940
Everything is clear, however, if all enemy air units are destroyed, then they have no chances to win, since infantry may not cause damage to air units I believe

RE: A few questions to ask. a&a europe 1940
May fighters attack all kind of units? May bombers bomb fighters? (I mean attack territory only with fighters on it and may they cause damage during routine battle?)Do air units attack only once in battle or every…part of a battle?

RE: A few questions to ask. a&a europe 1940
My friend was really angry today then he realized that ships may not bombard shore without amphibious assault.
Is it right? -
RE: A few questions to ask. a&a europe 1940
Thanks again! Everything is clear.
Well, retreat is better word than surrender and a fighter is better than an interceptor.
A&A forum improves eng skills. :-D -
RE: A few questions to ask. a&a europe 1940
Also if I attack a territory with an infantry and a defender has a tank, an interceptor and a bomber, will aircraft participate in defending?
2. If i use bombers, will enemy bomber participate in defending?
3. May defender surrender, or just his aircraft? Or there is no any chance? -
RE: A few questions to ask. a&a europe 1940
Well, do we count in Berlin,Warsaw and Rome in 7 victory cities that axis must control in order to win?
-
RE: A few questions to ask. a&a europe 1940
Great! Thx. :)
During my first game I was controlling all allied forces and was forgetting from time to time about move order. Used to move allied forces at the same “move” . However, it was much easier to attempt coastal attack with joint forces. :) -
RE: A few questions to ask. a&a europe 1940
I’m terribly sorry, but questions still appearing in my mind.
Can mechanized infantry move 2 without tanks(no blitz)? Cuz it is said their move is 2, however, what sense of combining tanks with mech then
Can tanks move to transport and then land during the same turn?
I mean I created tanks in London, then moved them to the ships and during the same move tried to invade Normandy. -
RE: A few questions to ask. a&a europe 1940
I’ve just thought of German air forces moving to Iraq. Will they then get Iraq army or it is essential to move infantry?
-
RE: A few questions to ask. a&a europe 1940
Thank you both. It’s getting clearer and clearer. :)

RE: A few questions to ask. a&a europe 1940
Oh and, well, is there any difference between pro-axis and pro-allied? May Garmany pass the border of Finland?
-
RE: A few questions to ask. a&a europe 1940
Thanks for the answer!
Agree, rules are rules :) -
RE: A few questions to ask. a&a europe 1940
Thanks a lot!
But still I am a little bit confused about scrambling. Why can’t I and my allies send planes to defend army from enemy’s tactical bombers if it is quite logical and realistic.
Oh yes, and I’ve got a new question… can I send bombers to attack only an enemy airbase with planes except land units?(I mean…just want to destroy enemy air fleet rapidly…but sure opponent will put all damage on infantry)
