      Yeah, looks like lady luck smiled a bit better than it did when I simulated your move…  :-D

      No probs about the Battle Calc. I have used it before. I also have an app on my mobile for when I play the board game. Made by a guy called David Skelly: AA Sim. It’s in Google Play Store.  :wink:

      After much perusing, running thousands of simulations, going for a long walk around the block and having a beer……

      No scramble

    • RE: Tjoek's 1940 Global Map file and setup charts (Updated May 30th 2018)

      @Tjoek:

      @The:

      1. While the standing army icons aren’t necessary for the neutrals, my personal preference would be to have the number of units printed on each country, perhaps in a box or triangle and in a contrasting color from the name/IPC value.

      If you want those number why not simply keep the standing army icons in tact? I will release a few files that are close to OOB as the changes to the standing army is layer I can switch on or off.

      I think you’ve done a brilliant job. I would definitely be interested in a version which had the neutral standing armies on the map.

      However, I will still be looking forward to the conclusion to this project (so I can get a map printed  :-D).

      Sound.  :-D
      When you’re ready, you can start. I might not reply until later today. Have to go to work in a couple of hours and it depends what you do, on your move…  :-P

      @Littorio:

      Jeg bor i Lyngby / Holte området nord for København og spiller typisk med 2-3 andre venner. Vi er sidst i trediverne. Andre fra Nordsjælland / København?

      As I’m still getting used to paying by forum, I might be asking a few questions as we play. Hopefully they won’t sound too noobish!  :roll:
      I know TripleA generally decides by default the order of losses (OOL?) but if you thought your opponent might want the OOL to be different, would I also manual post or just post to ask? I’m only asking because I was watching a video posted on TripleA forum that mentioned this possibilty.

      Just seen your post and email. Was trying to look for instructions on the TripleA forums for setting up a PBEM game!  :-D
      I’m easy who to play. I’ll let you decide who you want and I’ll try to keep up.  :-P

      This is the charts I use. I also give ea country 2 D6 rolls for National Advantages at start of game.

      Nice. Don’t have the space for what you have but I like the idea.  :-D

      @GeneralHandGrenade:

      You will find free map file downloads in this thread;
      https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=41411.0

      All you need to do is download the file you want and have it printed at a reputable print shop. Once you use a one-piece map you will never want to go back to using the boards again.

      Thanks for that.  :-D

      @innohub:

      Try the 50 rules and try the 40 rules and then determine if you like what Research brings to the game and go from there.

      Like the sound of this. Will look into it the 50/Anniversary rule. Will have to download the rulebook as I don’t have this game edition.

      @SS:

      I have 3 charts I can post if you want to see them.

      Please, if you could post here or send them to my email (see my profile).

      @GeneralHandGrenade:

      I made up my own rules that you can check out in this video if you’re interested;
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxSi3Ew3olY&t=3555s

      Great video. Was very informative. Was curious to see that you have something that looks like a custom Global Board, looks like a OOB board but is one piece?

    • Research and Development

      As a fairly new player, I was wondering if there are any threads/discussions on the use of Research and Development or if people would post on this thread if it is appropiate?
      I’m thinking more of the advantages of the techs and which country might benefit more from one particular tech or techs than another. I’ve tried a forum search but couldn’t see anything I thought was relevant.
      I guess I’m curious as for peoples views.

      If I’m in the wrong thread, please move. :-)
