      @RogerCooper I have a functioning game. I am working on getting neutral units to change ownership through diplomacy.

      There will be 4 scenarios in the mod.

      East and West-Automated-7 Player
      East and West-Automated-4 Player
      East and West-Manual
      East and West-Standard

      In the automated version, the complex tech and diplomacy rules are replace with random events. In the manual version, the player will need to edit the results.

      The standard version will do everything using the Axis & Allies 1942-2nd edition rules (with Anniversay edition AA rules).

      I have started on creating a mod for TripleA based upon East & West. You can follow my progress at https://forums.triplea-game.org/topic/4059/a-new-year-and-a-new-mod?_=1738631120040

      My plan is to starting by implemented East & West rules on an existing map and then using the East & West map, thereby creating two mods. I see people have tried the Classic, Revised and Global maps. I was thinking of the Anniversary map or the Big World map from TripleA.

      Any assistance or comments would be appreciated.

      @The-Janus I have almost finished, the preliminary version of East & West in TripleA.

      The TripleA AI does not make good use of nukes and generally will not buy them. I do see that Russia has an advantage with its cheap infantry and central position.

      I am not sure I can live up to those expectations. I posted this at East and West. I still need to fix the neutrals, create the derivative scenarios and due a little cleanup.

      @FranceNeedsMorePower I just played a game with a friend (for 7 turns). As the Germans I was able to take most of Stalingrad, but I had committed almost all German units (the Romanians were used for defense). It is hard to say how it would have turned out if we had finished.

      The income from Stalingrad is a rather gamey mechanism but it does encourage the Germans to press hard.

      We liked the game and will try the Operation Uranus scenario next. I would like to have a Case Blue scneario just covering the first 7 turns as well.

      For those have trouble as the Germans, I suggest just attack hard and don’t forget to focus you air power. Remember that the Soviets have to counterattack in contested areas. It is often worthwhile to take an AT gun or artillery as loss to benefit from the force multiplier rule.

      @barnee I will use an option on the defense strength of tanks, with a default of 3. I have started working on this for a bit every day. Right now I am adapting everything to the Big_World map. When that is done I will create a custom map for East & West.

      • Are the territories/boarders for 1941 identical to Zombies?
      • Are the Industrial Complex location/types identical?
      • Are all the territory values the same?

      There are some small differences between the boards. The most important is the recruitment centers (infantry only factories) in India and Sinkiang.

      You can just play the game without the Zombies. You can download on TripleA with the map, “Zombies-World War 2” and then play World War 2 v7.

      I want to invite everyone to post their mods and scenarios at the Axis & Allies Wiki. Most of the material there is for TripleA but it would be a good place for non-TripleA material as well.

      Don’t worry about categories, I can add them in later. As always, add don’t subtract. Don’t change other people’s material except to correct typos and duplications.

      I found another map error. South of Mexico are the “Christmas Islands”. I assume that the Galapagos Islands were actually meant.

      There are plenty of games out there which are more complicated and more realistic than A&A.

      A big problem with any game is that the European and Pacific theaters were very different places. Any game which covers both will be complicated to reflect the differences or simple and ignore the differences.
