    • RE: What to do with Japan

hm I think speed is the main point for any axis strategy.
In this case with the Major IC in Korea, should Germany attack Russia on Turn 1? Because normally I attack on turn 2 when I have my troops together on the eastern front.

@Jen yes that sounds good, i will try this in my next game!
@Jimmyhat I think in this case when I build fast units with Japan and get much pressure on Russia from the east, the other axis can spend more ressources in defending Gibraltar and the western front or am I wrong?

    • RE: Attacking Ussr as Germany

Sorry that I came back to the topic but I think a surprising way to attack Russia is the way over Turkey.
In G1 i get all 3 tt of France with Germany Yug and Fin. In this case, Italy can send his little armee from NItaly to Yug and conquer Greece with transports and Jets and take of course Bulgaria. Normally the brit. fleet is at Gibraltar at this point. Second round with Germany i buy mechs for berlin and paris and go with 3 tanks from yug to greece. The rest art and Inf from Yug goes to Romania.
Italy takes now with all they can Turkey in Round 2. So Germany can blitz through and take Caucassus and Iraq. In the same Round Germany take Spain and eventually Sweden. So my opinion is that I can hold the eastern front with the Inf and arts from Germany and Italy (in Romania). And I get pressure on Russia from the South.
What do you think about this strategy?
It´s not complety thought to the end but I think this has some potential.
Sorry for my bad english  :-)

wow great Jennifer, I always wonderes what to do with the Japanese. Mostly I tried to hold China down, but it takes so much resources, so I can´t handle the rest.
Do you think the same strategy worked when the USA doesn´t go All In Pacific? Or do you think in this case you would be more aggresive in the pacific ozean and against the Chinese?
      Thanks for the great input!

hm good point, but if you have your transports already at Gibraltar and Russia is doomed then you could threaten both Italy and Germany.
I think you could save the money for the small IC and buy 4 more Infantry for the D-Day  :-D just my opnion after some bad experience with additional IC´s

puh i don´t  think its worth it, the axis can now get sweden and turkey, last one is a mess for russia because caucasus can be threaten from the south without using transporters

but generally i like creative ideas like that  :-D
