      In the next round of the SAME combat or in the next TURN of the power?  and what could an attacking transport NOT able to retreat into an adjacent sea zone?

    • Attacking Defenseless Transports

      ANZAC  attempts to take the Celebes from the Japanese.  Moves 1 cruiser, 1 destroyer, 1 transport with cargo towards the sea zone.  Inside the zone is a Japanese battleship, transport and 1 infantry on the island.

      The battle doesnt go well for the ANZAC.  The Japanese battleship is damaged,  but the ANZAC lose the cruiser and the destroyer.  The only remaining ship in the sea zone for the ANZAC is the attacking transport.

      Question:  What happens to the transport?  Can it retreat into the next eligible sea zone or is it sunk by the damaged battleship under the defenseless transports rule?

    • RE: Can We Please Get This Stickied?

      @wittmann:

      RJL518: I think 20 at war bonus should be ample.
      The Germans will have no help from Italy in this one, so that is one fewer worry for the Allies. I fear Giving 30 bonus will tilt it too much further in the Allies favour and not make the game much of a competition.

      your advice sounds pretty good…so your thinking 20 bonus for the usa when playing europe only and 30 bonus for the usa when playing pacific only becasue the usa gets 30 in pacific 40 2nd vanilla

    • Larry Harris' G42 Scenario cut in half

      I downloaded the rules and setup for A&A Global 1942…do u guys think that these setups could be cut in half if i just wanted to play A&A Europe 2nd 42 and Pacific 42 2nd?

      So if wanted to Play A&A Pacific 42… i just use the Pacific rules and setup from the setup sheet and the same for Europe 42?

      @Young:

      I believe that the celestial energy running from my third eye, through my chakras, and into my dice… allowing me to roll a 1 at will when facing an enemy strategic bomber raiding my factory… can’t be achieved with the automatic random dice roller machine used online.

      So it’s table top for me all the way.

      Let me have what your smokin…you need to share!!

    • WW2 75th Anniversary Poll–- # 2 SEPTEMBER 1939

      The Invasion of Poland, also known as the September Campaign or 1939 Defensive War (Polish: Kampania wrześniowa or Wojna obronna 1939 roku) in Poland and the Poland Campaign (German: Polenfeldzug) or Fall Weiss (Case White) in Germany, was an invasion of Poland by Germany, the Soviet Union, and a small Slovak contingent that marked the beginning of World War II in Europe. The German invasion began on 1 September 1939, one week after the signing of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, while the Soviet invasion commenced on 17 September following the Molotov-Tōgō agreement which terminated the Russian and Japanese hostilities (Nomonhan incident) in the east on 16 September.  The campaign ended on 6 October with Germany and the Soviet Union dividing and annexing the whole of Poland.

      Now my question for the month is:
      If the UK and France had LIVED up to their promise of protecting Poland when Germany invaded them…and both Allies attacked Germany from the west or from the English Channel, instead of being pretty much couch potatoes, what would have happened to Poland?

      This is a good question…lets hear it!!

      I am NOT going near this thread!! :-o

      But on the subject of Japan,  when i play the Axis…i take Japan when i have first choice…

      Sweeping naval battles…infantry and aircraft driving a stake through China…kicking the British OUT of the Pacific…telling the United States…HEY!!..you want a piece of this?  Bring it on!!

      Japan is a blast…ALL of the countries are…they have their own strengths and weaknesses…and its never the same game twice

    • Triple AAA vs the Board

      Triple AAA is great…dont get me wrong…but IMO i kind of find actually playing the BOARD game a lot more fun and exciting even solitaire than playing an AI opponent on the computer…

      what do you guys think?

    • RE: Piece count

      perhaps…but i ran out of grey chips on the first turn playing Pacific 40…and sometimes…u have to split unit stacks from one territory to another to attack two or three adjacent territories from one…

      i do agree with you…if youre smart with your pieces and your chips…you really shouldnt run out…but IMO…i really want to concentrate on the strategy and tactics of the game im playing…not having to worry if i run out of tac bombers, chips and aircraft carriers
