RE: Another German Set of vehiclesposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
Coach,
Excellent! Every single thing I have hoped for you are going to do:
1. Match OOB colors
2. Match OOB sizes
3. Match OOB detail
4. Add additional unitsWhen Jack from Table Tactics was thinking about doing a French set (high priority item btw- it would be a good seller), I measured every single A&A tank and gave him some suggestions for sizes (from what I recall, current tanks vary from 17 to 22mm in length). Would you like me to dig that up for you and post it?

The Katyusha was definitely not tracked - that was a mistype.
I think a better term for the unit is self-propelled artillery.

Please help - Axis & Allies Mediterranean Mapposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I came across a map that someone created here, titled “Axis & Allies Mediterranean” - it was very good quality, and I downloaded the one that had the starting setup illustrated on the map. I’m looking now for the map that didn’t have the starting setup - any help?

I sold one already, and have one left… last call!!!

RE: Another German Set of vehiclesposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I’ll have to find the rules that were posted a while back, but it was basically 2 att / 2 def, boosts 1 inf (reg or mech) to attack 2.
Can blitz w/ tanks.
Instead of tracked artillery, self-propelled artillery is a better term. I chose the Katyusha because it was the iconic russian artillery piece in WWII.

WWI would have to be just a European map.
Maybe an Africa expansion.

I love the FW-200 Condor - quite possibly one of the most beautiful airplanes ever made.

Coach,
One bit of advice is to include a “tracked artillery” piece for every set you do (except US Marines of course).
Germany: Hummel/Wespe
Russia: Katyusha
US: M7 Priest
UK: Sexton
Japan:Type 4 Ho-Ro (used only in Okinawa/Phillipines, but at least it was used!)
Italy: Semovente 90/53I can find a French one as well if you wish. What this does is expand the variety of units available for all powers, and I don’t think that many people will want to turn down the option of buying a Russian Katyusha, or any of the other options!

+1000 for a Panzer II - that is my most desired piece from A&A.
Coach, keep the costs down by just matching the OOB detail - honestly, the new 1940 pieces are great and just matching them would be perfect.

I really want FMG to match OOB colors.
Otherwise, these might as well be xeno games pieces - I’ve never had a problem with the quality of the pieces, but the variety. I.e., give us more stuff!

Let’s get a Euro centric fighter - another vote for the P-51

Spanish Civil War is a good “pre-war” game.

RE: Minor Axis Army Piecesposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
Coach, great list - could you maybe change the 38t for a Panzer II? I want to use this set for a possible Spanish Civil War expansion and that would fit perfectly, plus it would work for any 1939 scenarios or Imperious Leaders build x(2-5) light tanks -> allows you to then build x(5-10) med tanks -> allows you to then build heavy tanks/super tanks.
We have a Panther OOB, the Panzer III and IV could classify as med tanks (or, for the IV, a heavy tank).

RE: Minor Axis Army Piecesposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
Exactly my opinion. I just want more “WOTC” pieces

RE: Minor Axis Army Piecesposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I’m not really fond of too much detail - personally, the level of detail in OOB tanks is perfect for me.
Thoughts on this, anyone else?

Coach, will your tanks have movable turrets? (btw, I prefer non-movable turrets, like the P40 and E40 games)

RE: Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion threadposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I didn’t get one as well - did you send it out yet FMG?

These are the perils of working with overseas production - in the future you will see more and more production shift back to the US as delays like this are commonplace.
