      @djensen Yeah, I posted a while back explaining how TripleA does randomness for dice compared to what A&A Online chose to do. Unless something has changed they use Xorshift128+ generator which there is some research that has shown weaknesses:

      I don’t really know why they chose that generator, most likely either lazyness or lack of understanding. Given the game is targeted at a “broader audience with simpler rules”, my guess is they don’t really care as they want the casual gamer audience which is much larger than us nerds :)

      @Entek TripleA is using an outdated Java version on your machine instead of the new one:
      java.home=c:\program files\common files\i4j_jres\1.8.0_66

      I’d recommend the following:

      1. Uninstall TripleA
      2. Delete old Java folder (c:\program files\common files\i4j_jres\1.8.0_66)
      3. Re-install TripleA

      @arathorn I am interested in implementing War Room on TripleA especially if it starts to gather a significant following and the consensus is that the gameplay is well done and fun. The last 2 A&A maps (1914 and zombies) have both been pretty underwhelming IMO and not worth the effort to implement in TripleA so hopefully War Room changes that trend :)

      @SuperbattleshipYamato Easy and Hard AI are completely differently coded AIs. Easy AI is very simple and has very little logic. Its essentially just there for people to learn the game and practice. Hard AI is coded to try to maximize its TUV trades and conquer factories/capitals. Its not at all surprising that Hard AI beats Easy AI even with massive bids.

      Hey all. Feedback on the AI is always welcome and a lot of discussion around it can be found on the TripleA forum here: https://forums.triplea-game.org/topic/105/ai-development-discussion-and-feedback. I can assure you that it doesn’t cheat with dice rolls and you can always check the dice statistics in the game you are playing. As mentioned, you can give the AI extra income to make it a bit more competitive once you get a hang of a map or even give it a larger bid. The AI generally plays most maps fairly well especially for beginners to learn it though it struggles a bit with naval warfare and overall macro-strategy. It definitely isn’t any where near the level of expert human players but can give beginners and casual players a decent challenge.
