I am tired of rules changes every time I log on here. Until something becomes offical I am going to play with the standard rules.

RE: How about giving US improved shipyards when at war to help balance gameposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
I would abuse improved shipyards right off the bat. I would make sure that the USA had the only floating major navy in both oceans. No point of having an edge if you don’t abuse it. And Japan can’t get its cites if they have no fleet.

Sorry not a chance. Land invasion is the way to go. It MIGHT work once with someone not expecting it.

RE: Axis invade US to some success! – Update 12/6posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Your in trouble though I think since the USA can now focus back on building up huge forces. If they put enough ships to defend the west coast and then send everything else into germany they can land on norway to shore up the brits then push their way in. How are you going to defend vs that and still pour enough into the east front to stop Russia from counter attacking? Stalemates are a bad idea for tha axis because the worst thing you can do is give America the time to get going.

RE: College Football is finally here.posted in General Discussion
Auburn is going to win I think. But it will be close. I expect both teams to score over 40 points. I just think that Auburn is just a little bit better then the ducks, so I am picking them.

RE: How do you rate A&A pacific 1940posted in Axis & Allies Pacific 1940
I gave it a 2 because its hugely unfair. Japan can win easily even in alpha as long as they get average dice rolls.

Thoughts on this subject?

RE: US IPC bonus?posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
I have seen the axis hit turkey to open up that water strait. Sometimes the axis feels that it needs to do it. Now that said I have never seen an allied player hit one.

RE: 6 VC for Japanposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
The point is Japan shouldn’t be able to win the game before the USA can get going on a war footing. And if played correctly and they get good dice rolls they can.

RE: Suggestions on Escorts/Interceptors Alpha+posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Hmm idk honestly I wouldn’t do the bombing runs anyway. Under the new rules its just not really worth it. Neither side has the resources to throw away on bombers meant for that reason.

RE: US IPC bonus?posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
I notice that the axis tends to attack netural’s a lot which allows the USA to take over all of South America. Which boosts their income even more. If the USA is played right in the normal game they can get over 100 IPC per turn rather easily.

RE: Carriersposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Could they land on a second undamaged allied(or one of their own) carrier if one was in the same sea zone? Also same situation but an undamaged carrier in the sea zone next to the planes?

RE: 6 VC for Japanposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
See the thing is in WW2 the USA was able to fight in both E and P at the same time. And do so well.

RE: ALPHA + revisedposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
OP you seem to also fail to get the point of tech upgrades. The point of tech upgrades is to give a vast edge over old tech. Otherwise they wouldn’t be tech upgrades lol. So Jets are meant to make tac bombers useless.

RE: Larry's alpha plus setupposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
That rule was removed because it gave the Allies a huge advantage.
Yes too huge of an advantage. But now its unblanced the other way a bit. But the allies still have a much greater IPC count the then axis they just need to figure out a way to stall for time.

RE: USSR Invasionposted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
If you leave the Uk fleet alive then they will build transports and start attacking France.
-
RE: Hypothetical Scenarioposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
The allies would likely still win IF Germany also didn’t pull off a sealion attack because that would allow them to land in the UK and use it as a base to attack into France. Also if the allies wanted to be sneaky they could having Japan pinned on its home island attack from both sides of Russia forcing Germany to either give up free IPC’s or stretch its forces to defend attacks from both directions. With the USA income and the UK still free the allies can afford to do this. Or unless Rome is super stacked they could attack up through Rome. Personally as an allied player I would hit Rome and France as close together as possible and try and push in from both directions. At the same time I would use my fleet to keep Japan pinned on its home island. At that point Japan’s only real option would be to build guys to defend their home island. Or they could build some fleet trying to sink a ship or 2 each turn to force the allies to keep replacing them. But it wouldn’t matter in the long run I don’t think.

RE: China can become a monsterposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Japan has to take China or its screwed cash wise. Otherwise it gets outspent by the allies.

RE: Experience with Alpha Plus so Farposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
I haven’t play this yet but I think that it does favor the axis because of how easy it is to control one side of the board for at least a few turns. The allies tend to win if the game drags on and I don’t think that will change they still can massively outspend the axis in the long run.
