Taranto steals a hit and a tac that defends at 3 from defense of London.  That Sealion thing is the biggest problem England has.

Also that destroyer has been used to block and attack the Denmark Straight in different games in my basement.

Really I sort of like the Taranto raid.  London just has to be made too expensive to take though so I usually don’t do it.

Anyway, I love it when my America takes Minor Complex having Rome while Italian Units are busy chasing the French around Central Africa

Problem is that G4 Sealion is unstoppable.

Quebec IC is important if British hold UK but they cannot buy boats near to Englan d(because of Kriegsmarine). In that case UK must buy the canadian navy … if not, the other IC is at SAF, and I doubt that any boats built there can aid in Europe

I can prove it.  If you take a look at the back of your board where the map wraps around the end there is a whole centimeter of map that continues out of the edge.  You can easily see a centimeter long border after Lake Superior ends where ALBERTA HAS A BORDER WITH CENTRAL US.

would 1942 work for Russia? they would have very little income seeing that most of their IPC’s are made i the western part of the country.

I thought it was funny that one of the first things it brought up was a review for AA50.

Well, to answer your question… when I play as Japan in this game I build ICs in China or Malaya in order to turn out ground units for taking India.  I would rather spend 12 bucks on 3 mech inf than 18 bucks on tanks and the rest of my money goes towards building Navy to ward off the US.  Your power lies in your airforce so what you really need (more than tanks) are just guys to lose, but plain infantry move so freaking slow.

I do that to, I put a minor in French indo china

If the Japanese do not take NSW in turn 1, the ANZAC folks can put their destroyer off New Guinea.  With a destroyer there, the Japanese can not reach NSW from the Carolines in a single turn.  The Japanese would have to attack the destroyer in turn 1 or do some other move to open up the sea lanes to NSW.  For these reasons, an early attack on NSW does not look very good.

The second link you sent seems to apply- thanks for clearing this up.  I was rereading the parts in the rule book and it is very unclear and contradicting when talking about the “scrambling” and the “amphibs”

So then even a combat move with no sea combat that results in a amphib is still grounds for scrambling.  I’ll tell Kreighund to clear this up in the FAQs because it is worded very badly.

China is irrelevant.   J1 attack takes away so much $ from the UK / US with territories and bonuses that the US +40 is really a +20 or so net, and who cares about the US being able to buy a carrier extra that isn’t going to be anywhere important for 2 turns?
