Hey Croesus when will we have the game setup? Are there any optional rules for us players who know how to play?

Operation Exporter (Syria-Lebanon Campaign)posted in World War II History
For those who don’t know me or the Axis and Allies Express Series let me introduce myself. I’m PvtRyan (as mentioned on my profile :-D) and I’m helping the Express series. I’m currently working on Operation Exporter, the Allied Invasion of Vichy France controlled Syria and Lebanon. I have plenty of information on the campaign for my work however I’ve run into a snag. While the British and Australian troops are well organized on the Order of Battle on wikipedia, and the Free French Forces required little editing, the Vichy Forces are all over the place! I’m reprsenting each piece as a brigade/regiment but the Vichy French are confusing. I laid out the units according to the order of battle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syria-Lebanon_Campaign_order_of_battle#Vichy_French_Forces but they appear to have split the regiments into smaller units (battalions I’m guessing) I’m not good at military organization and what I do know is small scale (such as squads, platoons, and companies). Did Vichy France have a different organization then normal? And if so what is it? Maybe they split them up (as I guess) and it simply doesn’t show them as battalions. Or maybe I’m just stupid :-D. Please go to this wikipedia page and check. I need to know how to work this into the game. Also as this is a topic for the entire game if anyone has information to share that would be great. I need information for the strategy cards I intend to include in the game. Thank you for taking the time to read my long and boring post. The input will be appreciated :-).

RE: Pokemonposted in General Discussion
I used to love those things. Me and my friend played the, coordinated what games we bought so we could “catch em all” and he even made an elaborate chart showing where to catch each pokemon! The cards were fun too we loved em and collected them by the crap load. I liked the show at first (u know the original pokemon) but then it got cheezy and i lost interest (that or i got to old :-().

I kno the Russians were hardcore. Being born in a barren wasteland under the hammer of communism wasn’t enough. Losing everything you held dear in an already poor life forced them to take action. When the Russians went to action they couldnt stop. They didnt stop until every last fascist ******* was laying dead in the blood of there vaterland.
Their land, their people, their blood……

I think that the aliens are inter demensional beings. Like in Indiana Jones. EVERYTHING IN THOSE MOVIES ARE REAL!!!

Croesus perhaps we can incorporate the Syria and Iraq campaigns together. The fates of both campaigns were very intertwined.

Alright I have made a VERY ROUGH edition of my Syria&Lebanon Campaign. Most territories (excluding Iraqi territories, trans Jordon territories, and The Duck’s Bill) are named after cities found on the Syria map on the wiki page CWO found. I used Microsoft Paint to make it. I included few sea zones as sea battle was little use in the syrian campaign. However the player that controls the sea can use it to ferry troops around. The lines you see between territories are rails, rodes, and tracks (i guessed they meant paths). Because Syria is mainly desert these are used for movment. Im not totally sure how it will work but I havent focused on the rules much. Also I am dropping the Chinese campaigns (srry to those who got excited about them) and i will work on operation market garden. I prefer the European and African theaters.
Ryan for the map I think you need to make the territories less rounded, and you’ll want to be able to distinguish the countries. I know you said it was rough but just some things to think about… I think youre right about the sea zones though, you dont need that many, theyre probably going to be mostly for look on the map
Ha im just reading this today. Thanks for the input. In the future im going to use the line too instead of freehanding it. I plan to have six main territories in Exporter. South, Central, and North Syria. Iraq, and Trans Jordon. Turkey is neutral but there is a rule allowing Vichy troops to use their rail.

I think it was something along the lines of a military balloon type craft. The reason they covered it up is cause it’s after WWII and the Cold War was starting. As a line from Indiana Jones (which “explains” the Roswell Incident) “they’ve got us seeing Russians in our soup,”

RE: Eager new player looking for a warm welcome!posted in Find Online Players
The system is a map without any AI or dice fonction. You simply manually put pieces and remove them. Nothing more. It doesn’t calculate income, convoy and Nation objectives… but the module is not set for Alpha 2 nation objectives, so we add them up.
Just like you, I rather play with the board and people in same room… but this is nice too. Makes you know more people and more strategy. Besides, you may play a little every day instead of a continu 6-8 hours.
oups typo : It does calculate income, convoy and Nation objectives… but the module is not set for Alpha 2 nation objectives, so we add them up.
Oh okay bruce.
Thank you for the welcome field marshall.

Alright but i will do my fair share of editing if you guys dont mind. According to the order of battle Vichy forces had alot more men but thats not the case. So im going to edit it so we can have more tanks and even a amphibious assault party.
