      In other words you’ve go the Commander in Chief on one end and the “humble” General on the other. Either play with two people per country or make sure your good at both. I think if you can do good in one you should be sufficent in the other.

      I think it should be a bright red. Russia is more of a maroon and japan is orange.

      I see what your saying. But still Im talking about war. Not violence. If America was invaded and we fight back then were standing up for ourselves. Its simple but does make sense. Remember I look at things in a simplified view.

      Yes all factors come into play. I suppose this is one of those discussions that cant be solved. There are to many posibilities.

      No Im sorry but you guys are complicating things. The act of invading and aggressing is caused by power and politics. But war is caused by the reaction of people standing up for what they believe in whether it’s the fact that they want power or that they don’t want oppression.

      Ha carful dude on that one. And yes there are many factors at play here. To many to count in fact. I don’t think our mere minds really grasp the whole thing. It is one of the things in history though that really makes you think.

      Okay i see what you mean. I guess I should say how do wars start when one nation invades another. You see Im talking about Poland. Hitler had no provoction. He invaded to gain more ground. Now put that into my argument.

    • How do wars start?

      So i was talking with this idiot on CoD today. We had a discussion about how wars start. He said they start cause power hungary tyrants invade countries. If the didnt invade there wouldnt be war. I on the other hand said otherwise. Its caused by people standing up for what they believe in. If somebody came to ur country with an army and said “i declare war” then wat do u do? Do u not fight and let him conquer u with no violence hence avoiding war? Or do you stand up and fight? Thats my point. War isnt caused by the aggresor. Its caused by the defender standing up for themselfs. Who do u think is right? Me or the other guy? This was a heated argument last night and the idiot just couldnt understand wat i was saying. I hope this isnt to political and i hope it is in the right thread. It really isnt WWII but the general discussion thread said not to talk about anything political.

      @CWO:

      In his book “War”, Gwynne Dyer discusses how the wartime alliance of the US and the USSR quickly feel apart once Germany and Japan had been defeated.  He argues that any experienced 18th century diplomat would have had no problem understanding why the US and the USSR ended up at each other’s throats after WWII, even though the concepts of democracy and communism would have been completely alien to him.  The reason why alliances in major wars tend to fall apart after victory is that the winners are the biggest pieces left on the chessboard after the losers have been eliminated, and thus are the biggest potential threats to each other.

      An excellent point. It was all about competion not about communism or democracy. Those were just propaganda used by the countries to make them hate each other. It wasn’t necsarilly (i cant spell) the countries fighting eachother. It was the leaders disliking eachother.

      IL the map link for Afica doesnt work but the Axis and Allies version does (or did according to others). Could you make an Afica Campaign for the Axis and Allies version?

      Im expecting alot from Iwo Jimi. I think you HAVE to include NAs or at least strategy cards. I want to raise the Stats n Stripes over the island and give my men an extra boost of fighting spirit.
