    • RE: Defining divisions

Wittman, I chose the 10 SS because it was the first SS division I read about and actually did some research on. Also because it was one of the few SS units that fought a “clean war” and sense its formation (it was mainly conscripts) it never stopped. it beat back the British 1st airborne at Arnhem. It was surrounded on the eastern front, but it broke out and continued fighting till its commander realized that the war was over, finally surrendering to the American army.

ABWorsham, the 7th Australian were total Bad@sses!!! Holding Tobruk from Rommel was something else

    • RE: Your choice of a WW2 combat theater

USN in the Pacific. I’d serve aboard a ship (preferably one that doesn’t get hit by a kamikaze).

Scharnhorst Class Battleship/Battle cruiser. Looks great. participated in many Naval engagements and caused significant worries for the allies. Particularly the British.

    • RE: Morning of September 11, 2001

I was in elementary school. I was sitting in my second grade desk and then the principle came on the intercom saying we had been attacked, but reassured us we were all safe. we had a code red? (i dont remember the different codes) and then we were sent home. I came home to my mom watching the news in shock.

    • RE: Favorite Fleet Destroyer Class

Hands down, US Fletcher class destroyer. 175 built, the next two US destroyer classes based off of it. It was the destroyer that screened the US carrier battle groups. 5 duel purpose 5" guns, numerous AA guns, 10 21" torpedo tubes (only effective after the US solved its torpedo problem). speed, 38 knots. a true warship. also, one could argue they won the war for the US. It was basically the Navy’s version of the Sherman tank. plus, the last one was decommissioned in 2001, so a life of 57-59 years depending on when it was commissioned.

    • RE: Oztea's 1942 Global Setup

does the UK really need any more raid damage? with the two damaged bases in the med, the obliterated factory in England, the lack of a Med fleet (yes i realize the carrier from the Indian ocean can supplement the Med fleet), and the complete lack of destroyers in the Home Fleet. it just all seems like its too much for the UK to do anything about it. I realize that this is based off historical events and actual troop placements and such, but i feel like the UK can get knocked out of the war wayyyyy too fast. just my feelings on the matter

Hi I just picked up this game and upon setting it up for the first time, the French territory of Marseilles is empty. Is this done on purpose? Thanks
