I have recently had a new business open in my town that does custom printing. He is a very nice guy and can get maps printed on vinyl and many different materials. He can also do other things as well like cards and player aids. His prices seem pretty good too. theonedesigner.com

Thanks! Thank you for all your pics and videos which I was able to use for ideas and inspiration. I think my friends like it because during our first game on it this week the losing side would not surrender making the game last 18 hours. I have always wanted a custom table since the first time I played AA when I was 12, glad I finally have it thanks to the help of axisandallies.org

PFC Pander, That is a great looking table. I like the edges where the players sit. It looks beveled so that the player can lean against it. Did you use a planer for this or cut it out on atable saw. Either way it is a nice touch.

The edge is beveled. I borrowed a router to do it. Literally only took 2 minutes. I’m glad I did it because now you can put your arms and elbows on the hand rail without any discomfort.

Thanks. It’s in my basement but I can’t wait to finish it. The flag is the Italian Social Republic which was used by Italy in 1944 as their war flag.

That is a great looking table. I see you used the pool table counter like YG. Where do you get that at ? What stain did you use ?
Also like the wide open dice boxes.

I could just buy the rods and beads with holes in them and make it myself.

Thanks! I didn’t use a stain because I like the natural look. I did put three coats of polyurethane on it which gave it a honey shine. The abacus is just put together from pieces. The rods were a couple dollars from Home Depot, just cut up some wood blocks an drilled holes in them, and the got the beads online that were already stained for about $15.

Started my week vacation today and decided to watch Unbroken this morning. Been wanting to watch it for a while now. Also have a 6 player Axis and Allies game primed for Tuesday on my new custom table. Life is good!

Very nice indeed. I see your using the sub pen markers from HBG too. I was going to go for the 3-D markers but I got cheap. Maybe if I printed my map a little larger I would have gotten them.

Couple more pics before I put on the abacus.

Here are some pics of my table that I have been working on the past two months using DK’s map. I am making an abacus today to put on each side next to the dice rolling areas. I still have to add the battleboards to that will sit in front of the dice areas and will snap into the tray rail. My goal was to be able to slide and/or remove any trays from the table for future expansions. It was designed for 4 players since I usually can not get more than 4 players to commit at a time but could accommodate 6 thanks to DK beefing up Italy.
