The indian Sepoy mutiny of 1857.
…. and if you stretched it enough i suppose you could call the reformation a civil war in the church :-D

Well since Americans were British subjects at the time i suppose the US war of independence was a civil war.
Why would you let the sz 13 BB survive. I’d ignore egypt, the destroyer and canadian tran to hit that BB with med fleet plus atlantic sub positioning you for a T2 retake of england with both your trans.
Apart from the brits leaving the frenchies to the wolves i havnt seen anything to out of the ordinary. i broke the axis with Rome as they invaded albania (no point getting involved with a drowning man :-D )
picked up making history the other day (only $25 i couldnt go wrong) and so far I’m really enjoying it.
you’re right it is quite slow but can be quite fun too. playing through as germany
thought it was quite odd that after hoisting the iron cross over paris all britain did was place an embargo on me :-o
is HOI 2 also turn based or RTS?
interesting. anyone tried the game he talks about (the calm and the storm)? looks pretty damn good.
1 IC every turn for the first 3 rounds can work well for japan, especially when you have close to 50 tanks knocking on stalin’s door
however 2 ICs on J1 seems a little bit much. Your going to be spread awfully thin J2 trying to push advantages and consolidate gains.
the three times ive done NG attack on B1, i’ve failed 3 out of 3. personally i think taking out the sz 59 tran is borderline MUST attack, maybe unless you unite in sz 30 then you could skip it, but still preferable with the fig then.
I used to like the borneo assault but unless the germans did an italy in north africa your looking at 3-4 turns of axis up on africa (which i just paid for recently actually). Anglo counter is more important than borneo in my mind. And it doesnt mess the japanese up as much as you would think. They still have enough to recapture, do pearl light and take china (barring some bad dice).
just my .02c
shocked
I’m pretty certain that any army can take Paris, undead or not. wink
OH SNAP!! :-D
its winter in this hemisphere :-D
I’d be in for any tourney
a buy that worked for me US 1 is the 1 AC, 2 tran, 2 arm
this lets you send a full boat load of 2 trans on US 1 and 2 then be in position for 4 trans, Ecan-Alg on US3.
No intelligent british player will fall for sealion in the early game. The only way is if the game is already pretty much won… or your playing OOB rules.
i just had in my game against EM 1 inf + BB bombard against egypt (3 inf 1 bomber)… infantry takes egypt
freakin zorro
is the triple A server played in real time too or is it correspondence?
going through a trial run against the AI
doesnt seem to be a way to land fighters on unmade ACs but its forgiveable.
Aesthetics are nice
is it meant to be played in real time or is it correspondence?
Axis. I got a thing for Germany
though japan does bore me…
I like it. japan suddenly makes a big break into moscow only to discover his 23 infantry will be defending on 3’s or something.
another alternative would to be somehow mark a tank a fig and a battleship (for general, air marshal and admiral) and have it cost X amount more than it normally would. You can only have one on the board at any one time and any battles he is involved in get the added affects. once they die you can purchase another one but never the same commander (you could have cards denoting the different commanders and their abilities and after they are killed put them in the discard pile.) when you buy the commander you can decide whether you want land sea or air but can’t choose the specific commander.
nice idea. It would be interesting to have individual generals with distinct advantages based on history. Like maybe Von Manstein allows tanks to hit in the opening fire round in the first round of combat or something like that. And Zhukov could have something to do with the defence of moscow. just throwing it out there.
