for USSR, a token deffence is all you want in the east.
be aggressive with USSR, not so much so that you are throwing men away, but enough so that you trade teritories with Germany.
UK should take Norway for the IPC’s and to get land troops landing there fast to support the USSR. this way they have more land troops to hold teritoris and the UK will eventually get enough to go offencive via land too. this pulls German troops east so the west and south are less deffended.
i preffer for the US to land in Africa instead of UK. this way they can use there large fleet to hit ether South Europe or west Europe and the Germans now have to guard both.

Murdered to defend life?  How absurd is that?  As others have pointed out, that’s like saying I’m screwing for virginity.
All I’m saying is that I think it’s ridiculous that some people think it’s ok to shoot/stab/blow up other people in the name of war, especially when those people fighting really have nothing to do with the conflict at hand.  Some think it’s honor, I think it’s stupidity.  So all I’m pointing out is that war is murder, just “legalized” because the state says it’s ok.

is it murder to stand infront of your family with a gun and shoot a person that is shooting at your family first? that is deffence. to say war=murder is far to simple. George Washington, Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln are all murder’s by your standard. sorry i just don’t see it, that is the point i am making.

Let me put it this way…if terrorists attack us, are you going to extradite them to be tried in  their country of origin?  It’s absurd to say that anyone is subject to our laws while they are in the US, but our soldiers are also subject to our laws and not the nation they are located in.

a terrorist is not a member of an organized governement body. you can not send them to a group that they are subject to as there is non. if a US CITIZEN goes to a country and kills people then they are tried in that country. that is a terorist. these are solders in uniform fighting for the US. they are not terorist.

There was impropriety in the act AND the neglect of investigation.  So not only did he have the freedom to say what he said, he was justified in that the military really screwed this one up.  In that way, it makes HIM look bad (being a veteran).  No crime is committed there, and the truth was revealed.  However, it’s probably not the smartest thing for him to say, especially if he is considering reelection, but why are you more upset about him and not the soldiers that f’d up, tried to cover it up, and gave YOU a bad name?  Seems like misplaced rage to me.

neglect of investigation, this statment came out that i am directly reffering to with Mirtha when the investigation had just started. his slander was before the investigation had concluded and before a trial had started. it would be the same as your naighbor who did not like you saying you broke into there house and raped his wife. then when the investigation starts a leading public offical comes out and condems you before the evidence is even collected. this action from a public offical is horible, the chances of a fair trial were compermised by this as there is now no way to have an un biused trial. that is why i am mad at the man. the evidence in this case that i’m reffering to as far as i can tell is no condeming as it was just hear say when it started. where it is now i don’t know. i can’t find any information on it last i tried to look.

accually not so much, many retiered or prier service members may want to replace old or damaged ribbons and medals. i got to replace one of mine and also want a few extra sets for various resons.

but where will it stop? this year we allow medical treatment, next year we allow eye and hair color changes. in 10 gender selection and sexuall prefrence. it will progress further and further with each passing advancment untell you can go to the doc and say, “I want a tall genious who can be an all star quarterback.”
what right to you have to chose what your child dose for a living or even what they look like? lets say you chose your chin for your kid but they don’t like it. you chose it directly, so you take the blame for it as you should. what if your idea of what would look good is not in keeping with what your child thinks looks good? this line of thought is the same as you forcing your child to dress up so they are popular even when they don’t want to, or forcing your child to take 4 years of math even if they only want and have to take 2 years.

yes and the point i was shooting for is to save money to add more troops to the battle in this situation. had it been a more straight forward land battle with out a landing then tanks would have more advantages, but then again less posible units to field. it’s balance that is the largest issue. you need to find a balance that works best for you.

not on facism but rather should the government that is subsadised by tax money be translating for all people in government assistance? i ask this as to translate all documents and have translaters on hand is a strain on the economy. it isn’t one of the major ones granted, but it is still a strain. i would personally cut a large protion of that government spending (leave the both language stuff in areas where you have first generation immigrants living in mass) in this to turn and cut tax’s.

there are studies out that prove in the US that students tought in an English only setting (who were not English speaking to begin with) make 15% more then those tought in an intergrated system. would it not prove to be more humain at the least to stop providing the intergrated system, at the vary least as much as it is? this way you provide for the students the best opertunity to better them selfs as it opens the best work options for them.

i don’t doupt that the intent of the multi langauge system was ment to do, but it is proving to that it’s not working as intended. so it needs to be scraped and redone by diffrent desighners to make it work.

if cash to creat more transports was not an issue then no big deal, tanks would be better. but when you are making a big attack, some times having more troops IMO is the better thing to do. one extra Tran adds +4 attack to the first round and adds more fodder to sustain the battle and also hold the teritory for a counter attack.

edit: as promised, hear they are. use these rules as they are widlly regarded by most players as the rules to use. they also fix a lot of balance issues.

2: if you are making an amphibous attack (sea attack) you can load troops of any type, move transport and unload all troops into battle.
if you are not attacking, you can do the same in non combat. so in effect infantry and artillary can load and unload the same turn. tanks don’t get any extra moves though.

3: you can land your plains any place they can reach not just the carrier.

4: subs can not (forget history) hit a plain under any surcumstance.

5: no, you can have 50 AA’guns, but only one shoots at each plain. 50 plains= 50 shots. 1 plain=1 shot no amount of AA’s above 1 change this.

6: pre battle only. this is the same for a Battle ship on the amphibious landing. one shot then it’s done.

7: both get there pre fight attack. think of it as if you had a transport with both. subs attack. then remove casulties, then normal combat. treat the battle as if you had other non destroyer ships.

8: load troops, move transport up to 2 spots then unload. all can be done in one turn. i always unload if i can to be safe. nothing worse then getting a transport sunk fully loaded.

9: sure is. thats what house rules are for. the NA only buys USSR one turn. it serves it’s job in that regard as the Allies have time on there side with this one.

so basicly your argument is “you must make your point with out your argument”. i can’t use facts that are given from other nations that in China they can only have one child and that by culture boys are preffered so boys would be the only ones made in effect killing a generation.
i can’t use the logic of slipery slope as that argument isn’t one you want to hear.

so i am left with 2 arguments. 1 is religion and i don’t find this to be the place for a religous debate, and 2 is that by doing this you are destroying tolarance. if you take away adnormalities then people will find new traits to descriminate against or at the vary least will re birth the “freak show” as there will always be those who will not take the treatments (unless your advocating government forcing it) and as such the rare dwarf will now become so rare that it will be a freak again.
there is also the argument from cyan that i forgot, What right do you have to decide what some one else looks like? Is it ethical to force your child to play football, or go to medical school? if that is ethical then comunisam is ethical in practice as the state makes those decisions.

thats the part i was replying too. he did vote for the judges that were put up by republican pres’s. he didn’t how ever vote for republican judges as judges are non partisant  :-P

on the US invasion of Europe, i have found that landing in smaller waves has worked good. also having the UK lead the first landing. even if they fail to taking the teritory, the US can follow up and take the land.
the advantage of smaller landings is that it keeps Germany having to move troops back from the USSR front to continually counter your landings. as a note also the 7 BB’s were a few too many, you could have invested in a few more transports instead of say 5 of the BB’s. also pound for pound on a landing Artillary are just as good as tanks. a tank +Infantry = 4A and 5D. Arty+ Infantry = 4A and 4D. the advantage is the money saved, you said you waited 7 turns to land, in 7 turns you could have invested in arty over armor and came out with +$10, that $10 could have bought a nother transport and i’m sure you had the troops to bring in, even if not, that could have bought a fighter to add as fodder for the landing from UK.

figher escorts and scrambling fighers for deffence are rules from some place. both i thought were good.
as for bombing raids being worth it, i think they are vary worth it. you take a $15 plain and it can take out if in the right place up too $6 in one shot, in 3 turns it can pay for it’s self. give it it’s 50% accuracey then it’s $3 per shot, in 5 turns it breaks even and 6th turn it’s shot down. over all it’s an even investment, but has the flex to aid attacks.
i am glad for the rule that a SBR can only hit for a max of what the teritory is worth.
i think to add value you could hit non factory teritories as well for up to half the teritories value rounded up (1 IPC teritory can be hit for 1, 3 for 2, 5 for 3 ext). this would be because your cutting off supply lines.
this may bring back bombing raids but i never was a fan of them as they in the old A&A they made the game no fun for Germany, and in the new they just don’t pay off.

i think figheters are good as are. IMO they already are the best unit in the game, there is no need to make them better.

there is only one reason as of right now to vote McCain over the others and thats for the Courts. his choice will be better then theres and it is the most vital as we have sceen from past press’s that a Dem apointed member of the supreim courts seam to be about the constatution being ever changing.

your talking about limmited abilitys to modify, but yet we know from history that when you give some, then more is taken and expected. if you compermise and allow miner alterations then with in a few years more will be allowed and then by the end of around 20 years we will be allowed to make any alterations that science will allow.
all that aside, you run the risk of diversity being striped from sociaty atleast as we know it and people will find new traits to discriminate or find “wrong”.

Petraeus is still active duty and can’t run, although he can retire but i doupt he would.
that aside i think Petraeus dosn’t add much to the ticket. McCain is strong in all the areas Petaeus would add strength to.
Powell is the same but has a little more advantages.
Huckabee would help, but i don’t know if enough.
Forbes i dout would join in the race no matter who was running. McCain i doupt could pull him if he begged.
Rice, don’t get me wrong, but she is under qualified. she was under qualified for Secritary of State and didn’t do a great job at it. good but not great. she is a skilled woman and a good woman (or person but that just sounds ocword to say), she just dosn’t have what it takes IMO. although she would as you say destroy the D ticket of 1st woman or black press via racal or gender descrimination.

Mitt is still a viable option although i doupt that will happen as both men seamed to want to kill each other durring the debates. but had they been more friendly with each other i think it would be viable and work well as it would give McCain more credability on the economy and also would give him a strong run.

if you look at numbers before Mitt droped out he was winning about as many people as McCain. it’s those stupid (and i thought stupid before Florida went to McCain way back when it looked to go to Guliani) winner take all states. i think they are the worse thing for a primary. i’m not a fan of the way the pres election is winner take all on each state ether, but the Primaries i think it’s worse. Winner take all at any state in both primary and general is stupid IMO. realy i live in WA state, we are a strong blue state. my only vote that counted for this election was in the primary as there is no way that a Republican will win this state in the general election. but atleast if the states were perportanal our votes would have some effect on the election.

you allow even tweaking and some one in 20 years will want to add in the gens from some one else to get even better results. when ever you give some, then some one takes more.

by also getting rid of desiese we could also get rid of cures for other things or even eliminate gens that we don’t know what they do.
who is to say that dislexia (sp) crossed with Audtisam (sp) don’t creat some benafit? both alone are undesireable trates but together they may be what gives us geniouses or some other desireable trait.
by eliminating trates you destroy the chance of things happening that you don’t know about.
