      legal drugs, it could be ether way with me. legal IF you can keep people who are high out of cars, i really don’t want to be hit by some one, and i don’t want my chances going up becouse some dumby is high on the roads. my setaments are the same for adault befrages as well. it would be great to have a breathalizer on all cars and they won’t start with out them  :-D if they did that and did some other system like that for drugs then i would be fine with it. you want to get high and kill brain cells, go for it, just leaves more job opertunities for my kids and me.

      JWW, when i see your name i always say in my head JEW (don’t know why).

      Raised in a strong catholic (read crazy) household, still in recovery, have some jewish friends but after extensive study I am now a VERY agnostic leaning atheist heathen.

      When I see Perv-a-vita I think it’s espanol for “I like fiddling w/little boys”.

      close to the proper break up, it’s perva-vita, and it’s Latin
      vita= life
      perva= little
      so littlelife is what it would translate directly into.
      it was born of a desire to creat a unique e-mail years ago, i typed in a ton of stuff but nothing would go, i decided to use my cat’s name and it worked… now it’s just been habit to use for years to use.

    • RE: Impossible for Allies to Win

      it has been a long time so i couldn’t say for sure.
      Russia should be more agresive. a pacive Russia in all versions is a dead Russia IMO.
      US should do the sea clear and land in Africa early, just to take out the Germans there, or atleast take a cheap hit. but an Africa Campaghn for any one to do is high in cost. the US should divert out of Africa on US2 and start preparing for the landing in Europe right away with lots of transports, fighters, bombers, and ground pounders.
      UK should also be building up for a landing but also be sending troops to Russia to boost there gains and sacure there boarders.

      it has been a long time but i have not had overlly much troubel with the Allies in the past, i don’t think i ever lost Moscow, if i did it wasn’t for long.

      LOL
      no, he acted in an illegal way, even if it were made legal tommorow it dosn’t change the fact that it was illegal at the time he did it and at the time he was caught.

      the morality is questionable.

      but from other stand points of economiclly and safty i would agree.
      by making it legal the government can tax it.
      safty, if it’s legal then the government can regulate it and keep an eye on it to insure non are under age and also to make sure that safty standards are meet.

      i may not agree with the act, but i think making it legal has more benafits then not.

      how fast is US?
      How aggresive is the Russians?

      i have had the reverse be true more times then not with the Allies winning even when Germany dose well early.

    • RE: Pacific compared to Europe…

      i wasn’t a big fan of ether. both seamed to favor the allies too much and although some cool rules i feel Japan was far to limited in victory conditions. the only way i ever won with Japan was not by conquest but by getting my economic victory via points and that was close… even after i had played a few games and was teaching some one there first game i only won by the margen of 1 turn.
      although as an avid player (atleast as much as i can) it is worth buying the game for 2 reasons. Red Japan peaces (i love these) and the navy markers. again some cool new rules like air fields and ports but still not much in the line of a fun game IMO for Japan when US mobelizes after just a few turns.

    • RE: Secession

      you can always how ever make house rules allowing it or even for a free for all game. or change up the alliances. but remember the set up is for Germany to fight the others alone in Europe so a lot of rules would have to be altered (teritory value, who ones them, and starting units) to even it up.

      Now that I think about it, Iraq isn’t much different from Connecticut. We have two seasons, summer and winter.

      The weather around Baghdad is exactly the same as home for me.  The only difference is that at home the AC in my car works.

      you have 50 mph AC in your car in Iraq, it’s just not a car and it’s just not AC  :lol:

      Not anymore, your not allowed to drop the windows, so it’s like running the ac full blast with a realy big sunroof open.  If the AC breaks mid mission ur screwed.  It happened to me once, fortunately for me I was in the turret, so It was like I jumped in a pool up to my waist.

      stupid insurgants, don’t they know your just trying to cool down  :roll:

    • RE: Russian Fighters

      i can see the advantage of 1 and then again 1 latter (R2 or R3) to get more infantry for fodder, but i realy havn’t had much trouble with getting enough boots on the ground most times with Russia. 1 fighter is worth 2 Armor for Russia IMO as Armor don’t tend to last long well fighters do tend to.
      i guess it’s all stratagy you use with Russia, i tend to play a vary aggresive Russia against Germany and a more conservative Russia against Japan.

    • RE: Deployed soldiers and Marines paying taxes?

      i always thought millitary and other government employeis should be tax exempt from income (wish that would go away all together) tax on a federal lvl as it makes no sence to collect tax’s from people just to pay them.
      as for the car tax thing, i think if done right it’s a good idea as a lot of guys are deployed for around a full year at a time they should not have to pay tax’s for that time as in effect it’s much like paying tax’s 2 times for one thing. now if your making payments on the car then tax’s associated to that should still apply IMO.
      edit: also if some one is still using the car or can use the car. some kind of system to make the car undrivable well gone is the only way to make it work, like handing in your plates to get the tax exemption. other wise guys/gals will just say it’s parked and still have boyfriend/girlfriend/friend drive it.

    • RE: Russian Fighters

      this poll got me thinking back when i first saw it and i decided to try it out. i have now played 4 or 5 games with R1 purchouse being 2 fighters. i have not regreted it once (ok maybe once when i got too ambisouse on R1 by making two attacks). i think the added punch of 2 fighters can be a big help in the game for Russia. the flexability they give the Russian offence and deffence are great. you can get into a teritory trade with German and not expose your valuable units to counter strikes and also guard your valuable teritories.
      the loss of early fire power and fooder is far out waighed by the flex and fire power latter in the game.

    • RE: I has snow!

      how did this talk of snow turn into global warming?

      ok a few tid bits against man made global warmming.
      little artical.
      http://icecap.us/index.php/go/joes-blog/comments_about_global_warming/

      “I saw the movie (my input, reffering to Al Gore’s Inconvinat Truth), too. You probably remember the little animation of the mosquitoes moving up the mountain to Nairobi? Do you remember that?
      Well, that is one of the ridiculous things that is being bandied about by the global warming people. Let me tell you the details. Nairobi was not, as they say, was not – the site of Nairobi was not selected because it was a healthy place for Europeans to live. In other words, high enough in the mountains. Nairobi was a camp in the construction of a railroad from Mambasa to Uganda and it was chosen because it was a watering place. Nairobi means the place of peaceful watering, I think, in the Maasai language. And right from the beginning it was really terribly malarious. It was so malarious that the doctors on the project wanted to get Nairobi or get the camp moved somewhere else. And it continued to be malarious. There were five major epidemics of malaria in Nairobi and in Kenya up to 1,000 meters higher than Nairobi. Nairobi’s at 1,600 meters. There were some transmission even at 2,500 meters.
      So basically it’s a complete nonsense and we’ve pointed – I’ve pointed this out to the advisors and Mr. Gore for the last 12 years but they’ve just hung onto that. This is very typical of many of the issues that we are facing and many of us scientists are frustrated because of this kind of misinformation.” Paul Reiter 3/4/08

      @Jermofoot:

      @M36:

      Save your outrage for the murders and rapists who receive no punishment.

      That’s kinda how some Iraqis feel about us.

      Thats also the vast Minority who would hate us any way.
      it is born of the same kind of doctorine that convinced the native Okinawans that the US was there to rape and kill them and you had mass suicide in the form of people (mainly women) jumping off cliffs to avoid the Amarican troops that landed to liberate the island.
      with enough propaganda and brainwashing you can convince people of any thing. by the fact that we are even having this conversation in many nations would be subject to inprisonment or exacution, this includes Iraq not 10 years ago as this conversation in nature is questioning the servicemen and in effect questioning the government.
