Japan is my fav nation to play. Revised i am still working on, it’s such a diffrent game from the last version that i got some bugs to work out in my strat. i have not found weather to go with the IC or not on main land early. but i do know one thing, some times UK makes the call with India early and i have never minded other then when it that darn garison, that slows me down a lot.
i think though, most of the time it depends on the situation. if the allies are going full blown for Germany (KGF) then i think it a good idea to do first turn to just get the troop flow faster on main land early. as for location, it depends on situation. FIC is good, but only so long as it’s safe to do. but not so safe that India can just be walked into, then you might as well wait and put it in India if it is a safe move.
too much relies on the situation. you need to be able to make the call if it meets critearia.
1: are the allies gunning for you first? if so, then it’s a bad idea.
2: is it economical in your stratagy?
3: is it safe? you don’t want to build it for the allies after all.

i’m saying is that the Clintons knew SC was a loss (at least with the black vote) so what they did was take action to further the domanance for Obama in the black community so they could further there agenda to discredit him due to race.
WTF i got a -karma for that last post! thats a little messed up. i thought although contraversal it may be it was far from being offencive or waranting the -karma

i think that Florida can keep Huck in, but Rudy i don’t know about that. not that it matters he is polling so low down there that i doupt it’s worth even considering he may pull up high.
i think Clinton inc made a few moves to throw the “black vote” in SC. Bill is a powerfull figure and can do a lot with out hurting Mrs Bill’s image. for example when he took a nap on MLKjr day at the speech right behind MLKIII it never came back on Mrs Bill but just on him (understanadably), but i really doupt he was so tiered that he needed a nap (or if he was he planed to do it) but rather it was a show to make the black population dislike him more and side away from his puppet i mean wife so when people went to vote the blacks pulled away from Mrs Bill and went Obama. now you can say i’m just trying to spin it bad for them, but this guy has been to some other big events and knows that it’s pritty darn borring to sit back behind some one, so i’m sure he knows some good tricks to stay atleast looking awake, aleart, and interested. bing where he was sitting you would think a person of his intelagence would know he would be seen and pull out all the stops to stay awake. but yet he looked like a kid in school trying to stay awake durring a long and borring lecture.

hear i was sugesting such a more nice (but still effective) plan for the illigal immigratoin problem.
Jen is so nice, she wants to give me 1 Million Dollers. because i deserve that rich guys money :-Pi think for the jobs thing, all you got to do is set up tarrifs for internatonal trade, this will drive the prices up as high or higher then products made in the US. also get rid of NAFTA, how can any US labor compair in price to mexican labor when they just got to truck it over the boarder for free. shoot because of NAFTA the shiping industry has gone south. countries ship goods to Mexico to unload (because mexican labor is cheaper then Californian labor just 30 miles away) and then truck the goods north tax free and wala our ports are less active and Mexico’s are more active and it saves money for the companies. this is relativly new, thats why shipping hasn’t shiftend a lot yet, but it is starting to, i think as of 2006 the ports in LA have lost 10-15% of there buisness from pre NAFTA.

that is amnasty (a rose by any other name is still just as sweet/in this case your callin BS by another name and saying it don’t stink), you are giving them what they want after they broke the law. you are telling them that it’s ok to break this law because if you just fess up now then it’s all ok we will let it slide… same thing that was done in the early 80’s. it didn’t fix the problem one bit, it just said to thouse out side the US that it’s ok they don’t realy like that law, they will forgive and forget about it again.

i didn’t say tourture was right, i just said that he is so against it that he won’t allow methouds that have already been proven to work that are not just “asking”.
it’s the deffence of thouse in favor of amnasty that say thouse against it are for out right deportation. i’m not, it is too much work and far to expesive. as Jen said a long time ago in this thread, you hit the buisnesses with heavy fines that you raid. you make it so undesireable to hire them that the illegals will stop comming and also go home as the buisness owners can save money by hiring legal workers. $2,000-$3,000 a mounth in fines per illegal worker will make them fire them, it also brings income to the government to pay for the increase in INS workers (ya i just said bigger government, but there are other areas like the IRS that i’m all for getting cut way down or going all together). you don’t have to go door to door to stop the illegal immigration, you just have to hit buissness in it’s wallet to make them stop, the the money drys up for the illegals and they go home.

i know he was a POW, i don’t hold that against him, i respect him for it accually. what i have a problem with is that he is un willing to do tough interigation on terrorist (or atleast those with ties) to prevent more attacks on Amarican citizens. i’m no fan of tourture, but we are on hard times and he is un willing to use all in our power to fight the war on that front with in the guidelines of the law. it is his Achilies heal on the subject. the terorist are not protected under the Ganiva convention or by US law, so why extend that to them unless they extend it back to us… something they have shown time and time again that they have no intrest in doing.
amnisty is a lack of boarder sucurity as history has shown. in the early 1980’s under Regin there was Amnasty given to illigal immigrants and laws put into place to strengthen the boarder. guess what half didn’t go through… boarder strenghtning. this is the exact same thing being pushed now, and he is a part of that push.

RE: Presidential Election (as a current event- watch the tone or it's gone)posted in General Discussion
McCain is as bad as Bush, yes they have diffrent policies in diffrent areas like McCain is better on war, but worse on deffence (he is unwilling to do the tough interigation even if to prevent more terrorist activities in US), Bush likes his big government, McCain hates it. Bush likes tax cuts, McCain is against them. both talk the tough game on the boarder and illegal immigration but both support Amnisty for thouse already hear (there is proff from government reports that arn’t realy talked about by the media that posible terrorist are crossing the boarders via Mexico).
i see them both as having the same effect on our nation, i admit i supported McCain in 2000 untell he lost the nomination then i switched to Bush and supported Bush again in 2004, but these last few years have shown how wrong Bush was, and also shows that McCain is also IMHO the wrong man for the job.
as much as i hate to admit it, Jen may be right (from a conservative view point) that a demacrat would be better for the job then McCain as having two left leaning Republicans in a row will hurt the Republican party so bad that it won’t recover for some time and drasticly slow the R parties return to conservative views. -

RE: Presidential Election (as a current event- watch the tone or it's gone)posted in General Discussion
i was personally in a toss up between the two (Thompson is great on issues just not great on getting them out to people IMO), but Huckabee pulled a little stunt that made me go far away from him. when he asked a news reporter paraphrasing hear sorry “don’t mormons think Christ and Satin are brothers?” now the question could be honist and all, but he asked some one not of the faith and it was obviously not a question that should or could be ansowerd by the man. so what we got was a big outlash at the LDS or rather Mitt for this “honist question” that was asked in public to the wrong people. it would be like saying in a church “arn’t all Muslams terorist?” back about 3 years ago. we know that isn’t true now, but back when Sep 11th was more in the minds of people then it’s a bad thing, but now people have made efferts to show that it isn’t true, but hear we have a slightlly diffrent situation as it was a target at one canident but a low shot at his faith. attacking his faith like that was a low shot that cost him my vote. if any thing it accually strengthend my support of Mitt because the guy is getting unfairly attacked because of his faith.
now i think the media hitting H for the cross in the add was a low shot too, but thats the media, you can’t expect high ideals from them, but a man who is a minister and trying to reach a high posision with in our government that people look up to should not be doing such things as attacking even if in a back words way (he knew what he was doing, if not he is an idiot and shouldn’t be president for being so stupid) peoples religion that is protected by the constitution. -
RE: Presidential Election (as a current event- watch the tone or it's gone)posted in General Discussion
But McCain is the front runner according to the news with his 35ish delagates, well Mitt dosn’t stand a chance at winning the nomintation with his 75ish delagates.
i do have my doupts that Mitt will win supper tuesday, but not because he isn’t the best guy for the job, but because there are so many anti LDS out there (i’m no fan of the religion my self but i understand that it’s not an issue) and the media keeps pushing this non issue that it will hurt him. -

RE: Presidential Election (as a current event- watch the tone or it's gone)posted in General Discussion
the problem is he has been wrong (by conservative standards) on far more things. the economy is starting to strugle, tax cuts have proven to be a help to the economy but he has voted against tax cuts, not because they help the rich but because he thinks they don’t help the economy grow. granted more troops on the ground was a good call, but it is also the view of most conservatives for a long time, sence before i ever heard any talk in Washington of a surge. the problem in Iraq with the way it has been fought has been IMHO that it was too political and GWB played both sides and got nothing done. now McCain who is known for playing both sides is running. i’m sorry but the big problem with the current pres is that he did exactly what McCain is known for. the only thing McCain has up on Bush is that he has a stronger stance on how to fight the war, but he also is un willing to even intertain the idea of tough interigation messerues for the enamy. i know he was tourchoured, but i’m not talking tourchour. McCain understands the need for a strong millitary but i don’t think he is the man for the rest of the job and that includes the war on Terror (but good on the theater in Iraq). for that i think he would make a good adivsor or VP at most, but not the leader of our nation.
on a side note: M36, don’t know your deployment length, but hope you and your brothers come home safe. what unit are you? if you don’t mind me asking, and also where you stationed out of? pm if you don’t want it public, i was in Camp Lajune NC just a few years back.
