      Christmas Gamming Axis & Allies at The Brooklyn Strategist 2017-2018.

      My first experience with the game store was next to last year, after Hurricane Maria. I had remembered it when I lived in Brooklyn, visiting my daughter, and, had made a donation to the store.

      Curiosity if they had any Axis and Allies games, also a place to give up about 500 cards of the Magic Series, inside a long large card holder box(mostly generic booster type cards). It was given to me, but, as I explained to the gaming store. Twenty years back, I might have gotten into the Magic Craze. At my age, I felt I could not put the time into this type of gaming.

      They gladly accepted it, and, gave me and my daughter passes for gaming night. Our planes to do a A & A game, was smashed, when all we could have join us, was a young transplanted MIT student from Boston. Her speciality was the popular Euro-Core game, set in the U.S.A., of trying to control railroad lines of the late nineteen to early twenty century time period.

      She was quite good, as along with her boyfriend(another transplanted student form MIT), this was their favorite house game. In about an hour, I had my daughter cornered in the north east, and, the young Boston lady had a minor line, in the Southwest area.

      We thank her for showing us the game, finished our coffee, as we had to catch the G train to get back to another part of Brooklyn. I had always heard the version set in Europe, was even better.

      Th following year we go back, with another donation, of a popular euro detective game, that is set in London. What do I spot, a well worn version of Axis & Allies 1914 game, hope springs eternal…

      As we had walked into the gaming store, we notice the main customer area, and, coffee and snack area, had been combined. We walked around the center, and, notice at the end of the first few tables, the cliched table loaded with the at/about 1:72 scale of a ruined city.

      My host explained it was used for the system called like WaXXammer 39,999. A very popular Science Fiction/Fantasy game. Where the rising and declining fortunes of humanity, still pits also a close order Combat type system(along with other types of fighting systems). What I like to play, if I could use a modern day Armor bridgade, mobile infantry, support units, and, S.P. Guns, &, copters, etc., to clean up the opposition. With its never ending modules, like the old Avalon Hill Bookcase Panzer/Squad Leader series, we use to call it “WaXXammer Forever”.

      Passing the rest room, and, the games storage area, we got to the second half of the center…

      We walked to the front of this part of the center(it is u shaped, having two storefronts). There was two tables, with dark cloth covering them. Sitting down we’re about eight gentlemen playing a card driven game. Their faces was as serious as Gang Lords dividing up a city for their illicit use.

      Finally we got back to the front of the other section of the store, and, our hopes of playing Axis and Allies 1914 was dashed. They had forgotten to put on their website, that the coordinator for walk in gamers, was not coming in this night.

      Well we had a long trip via G train to 7 train, then finally the 2 to the upper Bronx. My daughter was glad we did not shellout twenty for game night. Oh well it was a nice visit to the Brooklyn Stategist, as for the donated game, I forgot to bring the game board!

      They forgot to post on their website, and, I forgot to bring the board, I guess it evens out.

      Next and last scenerio, the same Axis Powers of GE., AHE, &,
      Italy, versus, British Empire, U.S.A., and, now France.

      Round One: A.H. Empire goes, here it has to wait for three moves
      to join Italy and Germany, so they can all attack France at the same
      time and turn. Except for Italy, the Axis Powers already have hugh
      land forces avaiable on the board, in order to invade three of the
      seven proviences of France. This allows them, in the first half of the
      game, to spend most of their budget on naval and air forces.
      In theses scenerios, sans U.S. and British Empire being protexted by
      water, only Russia could be assaulted by two of the three Axis powers
      at the same time. AHE will send forces through Northern Italy and
      Eastern Germany, to attack France. Also AHE has to help protext Italy
      from any sea invasions, and, try to control, the Central Meddeterrian
      Sea area.
      Along with trying to help Italy hold onto Libya, just to keep the
      Allies busy in Africa. Paris is first priority, so the rest of Axis
      colonies in Africa are considered quite expendable.
      On the flip side, unlike Russia, France should be able to get
      reinforcements from the other Allies. Also AHE/GE. will not be able
      to constantly rebuid their fleets, especially when the need to
      purchase land and air forces become critical(in the second half of
      this eight round game).
      The road to Paris, may well be much bloodier and longer than Moscow.
      We will see, both sides will depend on their junior partners/wildcards
      to help make the winning play.
      AHE Fleet leaves Home Waters and joins Italian Fleet off Rome,
      reinforces Italian forces in Libya. Begins moving forces to Piedmont
      and Alsace.
      German Empire takes over undefended Gold Coast & Nigeria, and contest
      Rhodesia. A damaged GE. BB off London, is all that remains of the
      Axis and Allies Home fleets. Land forces are heading towards Alsace,
      except for some units to protext the coastline.
      French Empire reinforces Eastern France, frees Gold Coast, sends
      transports to the Americas(sinks 2 GE. subs., but, BB damaged), and,
      sinks damaged GE. BB off London(own BB damaged).
      British Empire uncontest Rhodesia, trooper from British East Africa is
      lost invading Somaliland(but destroys defending Italian trooper, while
      another trooper landed by Indian transport takes over Somaliland and
      undefended GE. East Africa).
      Invade and takes over Libya, with forces from Egypt. Reorganizes
      defense of U.K. and rebuilds Home Fleet.
      Italian Empire shells and lands forces, not in Libya, but, weakly
      defended Egypt. All attacks and defenders are lost, meanwhile
      reoganizes defense of Italian mainland & sends more forces to
      Piedmont.
      U.S. Republic splits navy between North Atlantic & Western Med. Sea.
      Builds up forces.

      Round Two: AHE lands shells & lands forces and frees Libya. Land
      forces moving towards France.
      GE. contest Union of S. Africa, land forces moving towards France, &,
      nearly destroys U.K. Home Fleet.
      France contest Togoland, fleet off Marseilles attacks Axis Fleet off
      Libya, heavy losses for France(still it will make it easier for Brits.
      to attack their turn). Reinforces Wesern Front.
      British Empire uncontest S. Africa, reinforces Egypt & Western France
      & U.K. Heavy fleet losses off Libya, but, AH/Italian Axis Fleet is
      greatly weaken.
      Also UK Home Fleet attacks GE. Home Fleet, damaged BB lost, but,
      weakens GE. fleet. Builds up forces in UK & India.
      Italian Empire reinforces Libya & mainland Italy. Seaborn invasion of
      Egypt fails, but, Brits. now only have a trooper for defense.
      U.S.A. cruiser attacks Axis fleet off N. Africa, is lost, but, further
      weakens the Italians. Also BB finishes what the Brits. started off
      Kiel. The BB is lost, but, destroys the GE. fleet.

      Round Three: AHE fleet attacks Fr. fleet off S. France, only a
      damaged Fr. BB remains. Transports land forces in Egypt, and, take
      it.
      Along with invasion of Marseilles from Piedmont, only contesting
      it(acceptable losses & heavy for French). Also from Alsace into
      Lorraine, totally wiped out AHE forces(moderate Fr. losses), but,
      Germany should prevail on their turn.
      Germany from Alsace ivades and contest Lorraine, heavy losses both sides.
      France reinforces the Western Front, takes over Togoland and Libya.
      British Empire takes over undfended German S.W. Africa, contest Egypt
      via sea landing, and, reinforces France.
      Italy takes Burgundy, contest Libya.
      U.S.A. reinforces N.Africa and France.

      Round Four: AHE again attacks Lorraine, and, again nearly all its
      forces are wiped out. Also in France both sides suffer heavy losses in
      Marseilles, and, fleet fails to destroy Allied fleet in Western Med.
      Sea. Along with reinforcing Italain islands, uncontest Libya & takes
      Egypt.
      GE. Home Fleet off Kiel, destroys U.K. Home Fleet, but, it itself is
      lost. Lorraine Falls!(thanks to no part for AHE for weakening the
      French).
      Fr. frees Nigeria left undefended by Germany.
      British Empire reinforces Sudan, strips the U.K. of forces, sendding
      them to Picardy. GE. cannot advance further into France, with a large
      British force flanking them in Picardy.
      Italy suffers heavy losses, attacking Paris from Burgundy(while the
      Fr. suffer light losses).
      U.S. fleet enters Central Med. Sea, for the lost of two empty
      transports, sinks Axis fleet of It. BB and three AHE transports.

      Round Five: AHE Needs to regain control of waters of Central Med.
      Sea, cruiser from Home Waters destroys U.S. cruiser off Libya. Seaborn
      invasion force landed in Sudan, both all attackers and defenders are
      lost. All that remains is a Italian trooper contesting the Sudan, so
      Sudan fals under Italian control. Also takes control of Tunisia and
      Marseilles, along with rebuilding the fleet & reinforcing Italy.
      Germany attacks Picardy from Lorraine where a large British force
      awaits them. Heavy losses both sides, Picardy contested. Again fleet
      off Kiel is lost, taking out U.K. fleet.
      France takes undefended GE. Kamerun, wipes out contesting Italian
      forces in Paris. Also reinforces Borleaux.
      British Empire strips most of the U.K. of land forces to reinforce
      Picardy. The Empire will let its Wall of Steel(the Home Fleet)
      protext the islands. Reinforces East Africa, France, and, the Home
      Fleet.
      Italy reinforces Egypt, Rome, and, Burgundy. It would take too long
      for land forces to reach the Western Front, even a one time control of
      the Western Med. Sea, will allow a tranport to bring units to S.
      France. Cruiser sinks empty U.S. transport, on Atlantic side of
      Spain.
      U.S. Cruiser sinks Italian Cruiser off Spain. Reinforces N.Africa and France.

      Round Six: AHE damaged BB sinks empty British tranport off East
      Africa, also reinforces Egypt. Takes Bordeaux(Paris next?), and,
      fighter from Marseilles, has an air duel with U.S. fighter, based in
      North Africa(both fighters lost).
      GE.reinforcements from Lorraine enter Picardy, the British must be
      taken out, in order to advance to Paris. Heavy losses for the British
      & Germans, but, Picardy falls! The Germans could afford the losses,
      next Paris. Maybe London, massive naval buildup, as in the entire
      Western Front & U.K. no British land forces are left.
      Fr. reinforces Paris and sends transports to East Coast and London.
      British Empire figter from India is lost, but, sinks damaged AHE BB
      off East Africa. Also liberates Sudan, and, rebuilds U.K. land forces
      and supplements the Home Fleet.
      Italy sends its remaining trooper from Egypt to help defend unguarded
      Libya. Reinforces Marseilles & Tunisia. Strenghtens its Home Fleet.
      U.S. frees Tunisia, reinforces N. Africa & France, &, land forces East
      Coast boards Allied transports.

      Round Seven: AHE needs to contest Paris, to let GE. take it.
      From Burgundy & Boradeux Axis forces invade Paris, very heavy losses
      for AHE, moderate for the French(but it used up most of the Fr.
      reinforcements from the last round). So Paris is contested.
      Reinforces Egypt, and, a transport & BB is heading for India. Expands
      its Home Fleet.
      GE. enters Paris from Picardy, Axis lose air duel, heavy losses both
      sides. Germany can afford too, but, force to lose artillery, as they
      are running out of infantry. Still they contest Paris, with thier
      Axis Allies.
      Earlier GE. Home Fleet, tries to destroy the U.K. Home Fleet(they have
      three loaded transports to land in the near denuded U.K.). Again the
      British Wall of Steel has saved the U.K., the GE. fleet sans
      transports is lost, for light Allied losses.
      GE. sea actions are the last hope to bring the war to the British Home
      Islands. The war is winding down, and, new land forces cannot get to
      the front lines, unless brought in by transports.
      France reinforces Paris and prays…
      British Empire frees Picardy & undefended Bordeaux. Reinforces Home
      Fleet, U.K., and, India.
      Italian Empire making a sea landing and a trooper from Libya, retake
      Tunisia. Fleet attacks U.S. fleet off Morocco, both fleets lost.
      U.S. retakes by sea Tunisia, also lands and takes over undefended
      Libya. Along with destruction of Italian transport off Tunisia and
      Libya.

      Round Eight: AHE forces in Paris wiped out, only causing light losses
      for the Allies. Up to GE. to take Paris, also can only contest
      Bordeaux.
      Invades from Egypt and contest the Sudan. Also destroys US fleet and
      frees Libya(reinforces Egypt). Along with a sea invasion and
      contestation of India.
      GE. forces again try to take Paris, but, fail(still contesting Paris).
      Invasion fleet for U.K. smashed and all transports lost(luckly they
      were empty). British have a survivng cruiser off London.
      France spilts Paris garrison, &, frees Bordeaux. Fighter is lost,
      but, destroys AHE figher in Marseilles. The rest of the Paris garrison
      stays put, and, reinforcements are added(making it still even harder
      for the remaining GE.to ever take Paris).
      British Empire uncontest India of remaining AHE trooper, reinforces
      the Sudan, frees undefended Marseilles, reinforces Paris, &, lands
      also reinforcesments for Picardy.
      Italy tries to retake for itself Marseilles, but, only contest it.
      U.S. Republic lands forces in Marseilles, &, wipes out Axis forces
      contesting it(for little lost). Meanwhile trooper in Tunisia fails to
      take over Libya, but, wipes out defending Axis trooper.

      Peace breaks out. Each side takes care of its own losses(except for
      Brest, most of France was occupied or contested, along with most A&A
      land forces were lost there).
      The Allies control five Axis colonies, the Axis control two Fr.
      proviences, contest Paris, control the British Protexative of Egypt,
      and, contest the Sudan. Both sides get back all lost lands. The war
      ends in a tie, leaning more towards the Axis. Allied forces were too
      weak to fully liberate Paris, in round eight. So Paris as a Allied
      capital stayed contested(with GE. 2 troopers & 5 guns).
      Still to go onto a round nine, with most of the orginial Axis land
      forces buried pushing up flowers in France, and, the Allies having to
      rebuild new armies to get the Axis out of France. Both sides were
      played out. All remaining land forces, on both sides, except for
      tanks, numbered less than the orginial GE. setup for Round One. Peace
      is the way out of this mess.
      The Axis as in one combined group get a third share, in the Suez
      Canal, and, the Central Mediterrian Sea becomes a Axis lake.
      IPCs left(except for France & Italy) the other nations banked their
      IPCs for Purchase of any units. Much less adding what they collected,
      at the end of their turn. Axis IPCs not used 147, &, 121 for the
      Allies.
      Units lost Axis Infantry of 134 Infantrymen, &, Allies 113, Artillery
      36 & 30, tanks none, fighters 13 & 10, transports 13 & 12, cruisers 8
      & 12, BBs 15 & 10, &, subs. 10 & 3. Reconverted to IPCs Axis Land
      Forces 546 & Allies 459, Air 78 & 60, &, Sea 390 & Allies 318. Over
      all Axis IPCs losses of 1024, &, Allies 837.
      Units left on the board: Axis Infantrymen 22(5 guarding the GE.
      coastline & 3 waiting for transports that never sailed to invade the
      U.K., &, five It. troopers protexting the Italian mainland and a
      island. &, AHE had only 3 troopers left and two of them in N. Africa).
      The Allies have 16 infantry left, &, none in the East Coast, &, only
      one in all of the U.K. Artillery Axis have left 13(three in GE.
      guarding the coastline & two stuck waiting for transports), &, Allies
      4. Tanks one each side in Africa, &, an Italian tank guarding Rome
      from any sea invasion.
      Fighters only one in Rome.
      Transports for Axis 5(all AHE), &, Allies 6. Subsmarines none.
      Cruisers Axis two, &, Allies three. Also Battleships only two for the
      Axis(both AHE, they were never worried about a sea landing onto
      Trieste).
      Staistically if this scenerio was played the best of even five or ten
      games, with the same powers. I could see the Axis winning most of
      them. Italy staying as a Axis Power is a tough nut to crack.

      In this scenario The Axis will really be the Central Powers. As Italy as a constant, and, paired with the A.H. Empire, versus, U.S.(another constant to balance out as the weakest Allied Power) and the British Empire.

      The Axis will hunker down in the Southern Mediterranean Sea and area. They know Somaliland is lost, and, with the Suez open to the Allies, naval forces can attack them from both ends of the sea of Mediterranean. AH Empire with its hugh land forces, will help defend the It. peninsula. Also with their transports build up forces in Libya, and, the islands. Along with building up thier navies for defense, will make it hard for the Allies.

      Eventually the Allies will have to attack naval wise to secure the Central Mediterranean Sea(if possible), and, try to make a landing(s) & take Libya. The Axis just have to defend, and, maybe pick up Egypt/control the entire Mediterranean Sea.

      The game begins, mostly both sides building up forces. British Empire takes Somaliland, then again, how could they not take it. The Brits. would love it, if India could produce naval vessels. By Round Two the Axis controll the Eastern, and, by Round Three the Western Mediterranean Sea.

      The Allies find it hard to have Air Power in the Western Mediterranean Sea, unless it came from a primitive aircraft carrier.

      By Round Three, the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, is “no mans sea”. AHE cannot send a ship in, due to Allied fighters in Egypt, but, British Empire cannot send it’s BB off Egypt due to Axis fleets off Rome. Also a It. Fleet attacks an Allied fleet, outside of Gibraltar. All is lost, but, an British transport(the Axis sink a precious U.S. transport, with two troopers). Still it will take Italy 2 rounds, to rebuild those 2 BBS.

      In Round Four, the AHE takes out the Brits. Fleet off Egypt, giving up a chance to destroy a Brit. Convoy with trooper and gun off Spain. Still even with air attacks by the British, all that is left is a damaged AHE Battleship. Forces in Libya are at a tipping point, even with heavy losses the Axis can bring up reinforcements faster than the Allies, an attack most likely next turn into Egypt.

      The Allies can only mostly reinforce from India, now with transports arriving there, still they need to take and hold the western and eastern Mediterranean Sea.

      Finally Round Five AHE kicks in the door to Egypt, with Italy to follow, but, can the Allies push them out? The Italian’s effort keeps the door opened, but, heavy losses from both sides(invading AHE forces are wiped out).

      Desperate fight with heavy losses both sides in Egypt, the Allies force to defend and attack, in order to keep the number of Axis forces down. The British holding onto the skin of their teeth, the situation so desperate, the U.S. attacks Libya. Taking it, after destroying the Italian flleet, and, losing two ships to Axis air power. Can this relieve the pressure off the Brits. In Egypt?, for Round six.

      In Round six AHE fleet lost, but, destroys U.S. fleet off Libya(using air power also), &, British fleet off Spain(on Atlantic side). Also reduces British forces to one tank, in Egypt. Up to Italy to retake Libya and Egypt.

      Now in Round seven AHE finally takes Egypt(Italy had to deal in Round six, with Brits. reinforcements, with both sides losing allot). Italy frees Libya, but, fleet destroyed when it tried to take over the Red Sea. U.S. transport surviving Axis Air Power, contest Sardina.

      Finally Round eight AHE reinforces Sardina and retakes Western Mediterranean Sea for Axis Navy. The Brits. regain the W. Mediterranean Sea for the Allies, and, land and take Sardina. Italy fails to free Sardina, and, nearly takes the Sudan. U.S. blunders into taking Piedmont. Peace breaks out.

      A tie, with five more rounds, definitely a military victory for one side or another. The Axis would have
      probably taken over East Africa, but, even controlling the Suez Canal, could not control the Red Sea. Also with the Allies pushing from the Western Mediterranean area, the need to not expand, just controling the Central Mediterranean, becomes of main importance. I think the Axis have the best chance of the above situation.

      The Axis get back Sardina, Piedmont, and, Somaliland(4 IPCs worth). The Allies get back Egypt, Suez Canal, and, Sudan gets uncontested(3 IPCs worth). To save face, the Allies can built a naval base on Sardina, &, the Axis can sail through the Suez Canal.

      Final countdown, Disposeable income of IPCs 43 for the Axis and 52 for the Allies,
      Losses in IPCs of 549 and 561,
      Units left of troopers 21 & 14(many were AHE garrisoning Italy & British Empire forces in U.K. And Canada),
      Guns 7 & 3,
      Tanks one each side,
      Fighters 3 & 1,
      BBs 2 & 1,
      C six for Allies only,
      Zero subs.,
      Transports 3 & 5, thanks, Pellulo

      Final two Axis versus Two Entent Powers, with Italy staying a Axis Power & U.S. being one of the Entent Powers(cause of low IPCs). British Empire & U.S.A., versus, Italy & Germany.

      The Axis advantage, Germany has a larger navy than AHE and has colonies in Africa. While the Allies advantage is that both Axis Powers do not touch each other, but, are separated.

      Round One: The Germans take off slowly, take out the British Home Fleet, but, lose theirs in return. Also fail to take out the Canadian fleet. The British get off to a good start, take over all Italian colonies and half of the Germans(of course already lost two of their colonies to Germany). It. cannot take back Libya, does take weaken Egypt(one trooper left, with 4 angry British troopers and two guns in Libya). Also takes out, for same lost, Brit. cruiser off Atlantic Spain, escorting a loaded transport. Finally U.S. splits fleet between U.K. and N. Africa.

      Round Two: Germany manged to take out Brit. Home fleet, and, land forces in Scotland(enlarges fleet). British takes out remaining GE. trooper in Scotland, frees Gold Coast & Egypt, takes out Italian fleet(for the lost of Red SeaFleet), and, rebuilds fleet. Italy hunker down mainland, builds air power. U.S. helps protect waters off Wales, reinforces Brit. Home Fleet, and, sends troops to Ireland.

      Round Three: GE. Forces contest Gold Coast(since no help has arrived from the Reich, they might as well go out big). Attempt to take out Brits. Home Fleet, and, invade Scotland again. Both fleets wiped out, including a U.S. cruiser and a GE. transport with trooper & gun. Landed forces only contest Scotland. British frees two colonies in Africa, and, uncontest Scotland. Italy losses a fighter, to damage a Brit. Warship, to buy time to strengthen home defensives. While U.S. Navy sinks GE. transports off Scotland, &, joins British Home Fleet.

      Round Four: GE. concedes the lost of Africa, sub. sinks Brit. transport off Egypt, losses also submarine, there is no forces left, to help Italy. Fails to break out of N. Atlantic, fleet lost of two BBs & fighter, damages both U.S. BBs and sinks British Cruiser. British Empire take over last 2 GE. colonies, Africa is Axis free! Italy reinforces its home Islands. U.S. begins to marshall a invasion fleet off the Atlantic side of Spain.

      Round Five: GE. Fleet fails in breakout of N. Atlantic, heavy losses both Axis & Allies Fleet. Unless they can send aid to Italy, or, threaten the UK., the war is lost for the Axis. Brits. take Sicily, Italy tries to rebuild Navy, and, U.S. sinks it(& takes Sardina).

      Round Six: GE. builds up its navy, for an all out seaborn invasion of the U.K., by found eight. It is up to the Allies to make sure that naval buildup fails. British contest Piedmont, builds up Home Island Fleet. Italy cannot build up enough sea and air power to threaten the Allied fleets, can only reinforce land units, un contest Piedmont. U.S. contest Piedmont, Axis forces are getting spread out too thinly.

British Empire Home Fleet attacks newly purchase German Home Fleet off Kiel, both fleets destroyed, but, Allies control the North Sea(by default due to lone U.S. Cruiser off London). Takes Tuscany and uncontest Naples. This round has account for just below fifty percent of all sea units lost so far. Italy hunkers down in Rome, cannot defend Venice. U.S. lands and fails to take or contest Rome, but, wipes out half the Roman defenders. That ensures the Italians with just three troopers could not last another round, also U.S. forces take Venice. Italy is reduced to its capital only.

      IPCs left for GE. 31, British Empire 42, Italy 5, &, U.S. 22.

      IPCs Lost: Axis Troopers & Guns & Tanks 172, &, Allies 78. Axis Air 60, &, 30. All Sea Forces Axis 327, &, Allies 250. The sea losses exceed land and air losses combined.

      Units left, the Allies have 24 troopers & 5 guns left, the Axis 3 troopers for Italy & all land forces left for Germany(except Kiel garrison, and, a gun and two troopers from the Ruhr). No way could the Allies invade the Second Reich. Tanks 2 for Allies & 1 Axis, Fighter 3 Allies, Navy for Allies of 4 BBs & 4 Cruisers & 7 Transports & a Submarine.

      Last two scenerios of Italy staying an Axis power, with just 3 powers versus 3 powers. For the Allies the U.S. power is a constant to balance off Italy(both are the weakest powers on their side). Also Russia used only once for these two scenerios, to the fact the Italians are linked this time with AHE & GE. Empire, making it too easy for the Axis to knock Russia out of the war(yes Italy might be taken out too, but, Russia is a higher IPC nation than the former).

      Axis Italy, Germany, &, Austro-Hungarian Empires, versus, U.S. Republic & British & French Empires
      (for the second scenerio it will be U.S.A., French & Russian Empires).

      Round One: Germany will go on the defensive for the Western Front, pretty much abandon Africa, and, divide its income for an Arms Naval Race for the North Sea, and, forces to pick up Russian provienes.

      A&A 1914 of British and Russian Empires, &, U.S.A. Republic, versus,
      Austro-Hungarian and German and Italain Empires.
      Round One: A.H.E. half its forces to attack Russia, the

      capital. The other half to enter and secure and defend Italy. Also
      defend its own Home Waters and coastline and Central Meditterian Sea,
      and, send forces to N. Africa(but first rinforces Sardina and Sicly).
      Russia goes the traditional route, of trading space to build up
      its forces in Russia, and, if the Axis will not attack Moscow, force
      itseld to attack maybe one or both of the invaders.
      Germany sinks Candian and U.K. Home Water fleets, for very light
      losses. Takes Poland, Gold Coast, &, Nigeria(also contest South
      Africa).
      Britian rebuilds Home Fleet, builds up forces in Africa, takes
      over two Axis colonies of GE. East Africa and Somaliland.
      Italy needs to help control the Central Mediterian Sea, defend
      its mainland, and, reinforce its presence in N.Africa, to keep the
      Allies busy(maybe try to take Egypt).
      America needs to help the U.K. with mostly naval and air power.
      Land forces for N. Africa, along with some air & naval power.

      Round Two: AHE takes Ukraine, &, reinforces Italy and Libya.
      Russia still trading space for time, Sevastopol is the only

      British rebuilding Home Fleet, trying to reinforce Egypt.

      cruiser to off Spain, on the Atlantic Ocean. The Mediterrain Sea is
      now an Axis lake. Also after heavy losses in land forces, takes
      Egypt. Along with contesting Sevastople and Tatarstan. Forces are
      getting a bit thin, if the Russians counterattack, it could be big
      problem for the empire.
      Russia has run out of time, half of its proviences, are
      occupied, two that remain are unguarded, another two are contested,
      leaving Moscow a armed camp. If they go on an all out offensive, they
      might take back 3 lost proviences, and, uncontest one. Of course the
      large GE. forces in Poland, might finally get to take Moscow. From
      experience takeing back lost proviences, might buy some, but, not
      allot of time. You sometimes lose allot of forces, to exterminate a
      smaller forces. Yet there is only some much land, you can trade for
      time. The solution, take back some, but, not all that has been lost.
      Karelia retaken, and, uncontested Tatarstan. Sub. damages GE.
      BB off Kiel.
      GE. does not want to spread its forces out, retakes Karelia(so
      Russians cannot put naval forces out), Finland to be ignored. Finally
      brings forces from Poland, so next round an attack en mass into
      Moscow. Build up fleet off Kiel to try next round to take U.K.
      British Empire reinforces E. Africa, losses Home Fleet
      attacking GE. Home Fleet off Kiel, but, does manage to weaken it.
      Rebuilds naval and land forces for U.K. in case of any future GE.
      landings, and, builds up land forces in India(in case of any future
      landings by A.H. Empire).
      Takes GE. colony of Kamerun.
      Italy takes Sudan. U.S. sinks AHE cruiser trying to breakout
      into the Atlantic, and, join the GE. fleet.

      Round Five: A.H.E. frees undefended Somaliland, building
      forces to invade by sea India. Takes also Sevastople & Tartastan.
      Russia still hunkering down in Moscow, takes small victories,
      by taking back Tatarstan and Karelia.
      GE. fleet is lost, but, nearly destroys U.K. Home Fleet. Loses
      air duel, but, contest Moscow(heavy losses for both sides for infantry
      units). Hard for Russia to survive another round, but, even if it
      did, they would never reach the borders of the Second Reich.
      British Empire rebuild Home fleet, and, reinforce East Africa and India.
      Italian Empire needs to reinforce the Sudan, and, build up the navy.
      U.S. reinforce East Africa, and, for now controls the eastern
      and central Meditterian Sea-for how long?-

      Round Six: A.H.E. even if it does not take Moscow, should

      U.S. losses all forces in East Africa, but, seriously weakens
      AHE forces in Somaliland(even if they still had transports, they will

      GE. takes Russia, it cost most of its Infantry(no thanks to
      AHE not attacking Russia this turn). Also takes Karelai.
      British Empire takes back from AHE Italain Somaliland.
      Italy says on the defensive positon(the mainland section, is
      will defended), and, better to lose Africa, than get invaded. Builds
      new fleet.
      U.S. destroys new Italian fleet and still controls the
      Medieterrian Sea(sans AHE Home Water).

      Round Eight: Austro-Hungarian Empire destroys U.S. fleet in
      Central Med. Sea, but, lost its Home Fleet(including a transport and
      fighter, thus no aid for Axis forces in Africa). Also sinks with a
      fighter one of two remaining cruisers in Black Sea. No builds, no
      danger from Allies, in this last round.
      Russian Cruiser just stays in Black Sea, Finland is unguarded.
      Germany takes undefended Finland(Russia is totally
      occupied). GE. attempts to land forces in U.K., boh fleets were 3
      BBs and 2 fighters, all that remains is a GE. damaged BB & 2
      transports. BB shells and scores a hit, and landed 2 troopers and gun
      & tank score 3 more hits(for a total of 4 hits). Defenders of London
      are 4 troopers and 2 guns, which score 3 hits(reduced to two cause of
      the GE. tank). London is contested.
      British Empire uncontest London for no lost, &, frees Sudan
      from Italian control. Rebuilds Home Fleet & air force.
      Italian Empire rebuilds Naval & Air Force.
      U.S. Republic sends reinforcements to E. Africa, cruisers
      take over Western Mediterrian Sea, &, fighter is lost sinking a GE.
      transport off London.
      Peace breaks out, moderate to major Axis Victory over the
      Allies. The Axis get back all their lost African colonies, GE. keeps
      a third of Poland and Finland(gives independence to the other two
      thirds of those new states, and, keep bases inside them, to protext
      them from Russia). AHE sets up Ukraine as a new nation, keeping a
      third as a new provience for the empire(ditto for bases). Keeps
      Sevastpol as a new provience (also gives Italy the Crimean Peninsula
      as a war compensation). Italy gets generous big grants from Germany.
      Both sides take care of their losses, Axis help Axis &
      Allies help Allies. All Axis are now part owners of the Suez Canal,
      except for U.S. Waters, Axis Fleets have passage through Allied Home
      Waters.

      Losses are very heavy, as compared to other games, of Transports,
      BBs, Cruisers, Subs, and, Fighters.
      Total Losses Axis Land Forces in IPCs 384, &, Allies 345. Air 88 &
      96. Sea 449 & 390. Axis lost more in IPCs but, still won the war.
      Also sea losses were heavier than land forces, for both sides.
      IPCs not spent, Axis 189 & Allies 80.
      Units left on the board, most of GE. units are in Russia, AHE in
      Italy and Russia, Italy only in Italy. U.S. most units in Africa,
      while British Empire had the most in the United Kingdom(India and
      Africa).

      Artillery 27(19 in Russia) & 5(US has none), &, Tanks 4 & 1. Fighters

      Final two Axis versus Two Entent Powers, with Italy staying a Axis Power & U.S. being one of the Entent Powers(cause of low IPCs). British Empire & U.S.A., versus, Italy & Germany.

      The Axis advantage, Germany has a larger navy than AHE and has colonies in Africa. While the Allies advantage is that both Axis Powers do not touch each other, but, are separated.

      Round One: The Germans take off slowly, take out the British Home Fleet, but, lose theirs in return. Also fail to take out the Canadian fleet. The British get off to a good start, take over all Italian colonies and half of the Germans(of course already lost two of their colonies to Germany). It. cannot take back Libya, does take weaken Egypt(one trooper left, with 4 angry British troopers and two guns in Libya). Also takes out, for same lost, Brit. cruiser off Atlantic Spain, escorting a loaded transport. Finally U.S. splits fleet between U.K. and N. Africa.

      Round Two: Germany manged to take out Brit. Home fleet, and, land forces in Scotland(enlarges fleet). British takes out remaining GE. trooper in Scotland, frees Gold Coast & Egypt, takes out Italian fleet(for the lost of Red SeaFleet), and, rebuilds fleet. Italy hunker down mainland, builds air power. U.S. helps protect waters off Wales, reinforces Brit. Home Fleet, and, sends troops to Ireland.

      Round Three: GE. Forces contest Gold Coast(since no help has arrived from the Reich, they might as well go out big). Attempt to take out Brits. Home Fleet, and, invade Scotland again. Both fleets wiped out, including a U.S. cruiser and a GE. transport with trooper & gun. Landed forces only contest Scotland. British frees two colonies in Africa, and, uncontest Scotland. Italy losses a fighter, to damage a Brit. Warship, to buy time to strengthen home defensives. While U.S. Navy sinks GE. transports off Scotland, &, joins British Home Fleet.

      Round Four: GE. concedes the lost of Africa, sub. sinks Brit. transport off Egypt, losses also submarine, there is no forces left, to help Italy. Fails to break out of N. Atlantic, fleet lost of two BBs & fighter, damages both U.S. BBs and sinks British Cruiser. British Empire take over last 2 GE. colonies, Africa is Axis free! Italy reinforces its home Islands. U.S. begins to marshall a invasion fleet off the Atlantic side of Spain.

      Round Five: GE. Fleet fails in breakout of N. Atlantic, heavy losses both Axis & Allies Fleet. Unless they can send aid to Italy, or, threaten the UK., the war is lost for the Axis. Brits. take Sicily, Italy tries to rebuild Navy, and, U.S. sinks it(& takes Sardina).

      Round Six: GE. builds up its navy, for an all out seaborn invasion of the U.K., by found eight. It is up to the Allies to make sure that naval buildup fails. British contest Piedmont, builds up Home Island Fleet. Italy cannot build up enough sea and air power to threaten the Allied fleets, can only reinforce land units, un contest Piedmont. U.S. contest Piedmont, Axis forces are getting spread out too thinly.

      Round Seven: GE. Ditto as in Round Six. British takes Naples and Piedmont, builds up Home Fleet. Italy contest Piedmont and Naples. U.S. uncontest Piedmont for the Allies.

      Round Eight: GE. fail on an Operation Sea Lion, incredible heavy losses both sides, builds up Home Fleet. Danger of losing control of North Sea. British Empire Home Fleet attacks newly purchase German Home Fleet off Kiel, both fleets destroyed, but, Allies control the North Sea(by default due to lone U.S. Cruiser off London). Takes Tuscany and uncontest Naples. This round has account for just below fifty percent of all sea units lost so far. Italy hunkers down in Rome, cannot defend Venice. U.S. lands and fails to take or contest Rome, but, wipes out half the Roman defenders. That ensures the Italians with just three troopers could not last another round, also U.S. forces take Venice. Italy is reduced to its capital only.

      IPCs left for GE. 31, British Empire 42, Italy 5, &, U.S. 22.

      IPCs Lost: Axis Troopers & Guns & Tanks 172, &, Allies 78. Axis Air 60, &, 30. All Sea Forces Axis 327, &, Allies 250. The sea losses exceed land and air losses combined.

      Units left, the Allies have 24 troopers & 5 guns left, the Axis 3 troopers for Italy & all land forces left for Germany(except Kiel garrison, and, a gun and two troopers from the Ruhr). No way could the Allies invade the Second Reich. Tanks 2 for Allies & 1 Axis, Fighter 3 Allies, Navy for Allies of 4 BBs & 4 Cruisers & 7 Transports & a Submarine.

      In this scenario The Axis will really be the Central Powers. As Italy as a constant, and, paired with the A.H. Empire, versus, U.S.(another constant to balance out as the weakest Allied Power) and the British Empire.

      The Axis will hunker down in the Southern Mediterranean Sea and area. They know Somaliland is lost, and, with the Suez open to the Allies, naval forces can attack them from both ends of the sea of Mediterranean. AH Empire with its hugh land forces, will help defend the It. peninsula. Also with their transports build up forces in Libya, and, the islands. Along with building up thier navies for defense, will make it hard for the Allies.

      Eventually the Allies will have to attack naval wise to secure the Central Mediterranean Sea(if possible), and, try to make a landing(s) & take Libya. The Axis just have to defend, and, maybe pick up Egypt/control the entire Mediterranean Sea.

      The game begins, mostly both sides building up forces. British Empire takes Somaliland, then again, how could they not take it. The Brits. would love it, if India could produce naval vessels. By Round Two the Axis controll the Eastern, and, by Round Three the Western Mediterranean Sea.

      The Allies find it hard to have Air Power in the Western Mediterranean Sea, unless it came from a primitive aircraft carrier.

      By Round Three, the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, is “no mans sea”. AHE cannot send a ship in, due to Allied fighters in Egypt, but, British Empire cannot send it’s BB off Egypt due to Axis fleets off Rome. Also a It. Fleet attacks an Allied fleet, outside of Gibraltar. All is lost, but, an British transport(the Axis sink a precious U.S. transport, with two troopers). Still it will take Italy 2 rounds, to rebuild those 2 BBS.

      In Round Four, the AHE takes out the Brits. Fleet off Egypt, giving up a chance to destroy a Brit. Convoy with trooper and gun off Spain. Still even with air attacks by the British, all that is left is a damaged AHE Battleship. Forces in Libya are at a tipping point, even with heavy losses the Axis can bring up reinforcements faster than the Allies, an attack most likely next turn into Egypt.

      The Allies can only mostly reinforce from India, now with transports arriving there, still they need to take and hold the western and eastern Mediterranean Sea.

      Finally Round Five AHE kicks in the door to Egypt, with Italy to follow, but, can the Allies push them out? The Italian’s effort keeps the door opened, but, heavy losses from both sides(invading AHE forces are wiped out).

      Desperate fight with heavy losses both sides in Egypt, the Allies force to defend and attack, in order to keep the number of Axis forces down. The British holding onto the skin of their teeth, the situation so desperate, the U.S. attacks Libya. Taking it, after destroying the Italian flleet, and, losing two ships to Axis air power. Can this relieve the pressure off the Brits. In Egypt?, for Round six.

      In Round six AHE fleet lost, but, destroys U.S. fleet off Libya(using air power also), &, British fleet off Spain(on Atlantic side). Also reduces British forces to one tank, in Egypt. Up to Italy to retake Libya and Egypt.

      Now in Round seven AHE finally takes Egypt(Italy had to deal in Round six, with Brits. reinforcements, with both sides losing allot). Italy frees Libya, but, fleet destroyed when it tried to take over the Red Sea. U.S. transport surviving Axis Air Power, contest Sardina.

      Finally Round eight AHE reinforces Sardina and retakes Western Mediterranean Sea for Axis Navy. The Brits. regain the W. Mediterranean Sea for the Allies, and, land and take Sardina. Italy fails to free Sardina, and, nearly takes the Sudan. U.S. blunders into taking Piedmont. Peace breaks out.

      A tie, with five more rounds, definitely a military victory for one side or another. The Axis would have
      probably taken over East Africa, but, even controlling the Suez Canal, could not control the Red Sea. Also with the Allies pushing from the Western Mediterranean area, the need to not expand, just controling the Central Mediterranean, becomes of main importance. I think the Axis have the best chance of the above situation.

      The Axis get back Sardina, Piedmont, and, Somaliland(4 IPCs worth). The Allies get back Egypt, Suez Canal, and, Sudan gets uncontested(3 IPCs worth). To save face, the Allies can built a naval base on Sardina, &, the Axis can sail through the Suez Canal.

      Final countdown, Disposeable income of IPCs 43 for the Axis and 52 for the Allies,
      Losses in IPCs of 549 and 561,
      Units left of troopers 21 & 14(many were AHE garrisoning Italy & British Empire forces in U.K. And Canada),

      O.K. decide to try Axis Italy versus only one Ally, eliminating powerful France which touches Italy, and, British Empire which can rapidly attack from Africa. That leaves only two powers Italy can take on, with a chance of holding out after eight rounds(6 months per. year, for four years total). The other power is Russia, but, due to distance it would be mostly a Russian fleet of Cruisers arriving off Rome, defended by Italian Battleships. Also the Suez Canal, and, passage to and from the Black Sea would be closed.

      To speed play up, only highlights of play between Italy & U.S.A. The former is building up forces to invade the U.S., even if only control the seas off the East Coast can count as a very minor victory. The U.S. if possible to get a transport off to Somaliland or into the central Mediterranean Sea. When ever it landed, it would face a determine defense, except for the islands and Libya. After all, hard for Italy to heavily garrison the colonies and islands, quicker to have some reinforcements and build up its navy.

      So in this scenario the U.S. is investing in a wall of steel(navy), which Italy will try to break through. So far Sea Zone 13 has become a “chicken wire”, where each power needs to cross to arrive off the East Coast, or, the Atlantic entrance to the Mediterranean Sea. As naval forces build up, hard for a power, to not try to do a pre-strike.

      After eight rounds, the U.S. wins. They control Samaliland for no lost, the Italians lose a trooper(only land forces lost). Also after allot of flip flop battles the Allies control, the Atlantic entrance to the Mediterranean Sea. The U.S has a BB & C left, an extra 2 troopers, gun, tank, &, air for an invasion that never arrives. Also Italy land forces are augmented by a trooper, tank, &, fighter.

      The IPCs lost for naval battles, fought in Sea Zone 14, are Axis 114 & Allies 117. IPC remaining, not used to purchase units, and, gained for a Round Nine never played are Axis 29 & Allies 41.

      Now for two Axis and two Allies, with Italy as a constant Axis player(also U.S. as a constant Allied player, being the lowest ranking Allied Power).

      Axis Italy & Austro-Hungarian Empire, versus, U.S.A. & France. Basically Axis need to overrun France, control the Central Mediterranean no less, and, send aid to Africa to keep the Allies busy. Losing Africa is tolerable, if Paris falls.

      By Round 4 the AH Empire has contested both Burgundy and Marseille, with one more powerful army, to arrive next round. Italy is worn out, just trying to build up its defensive in case of Allied landings. Her only foot in N.Africa is being held by AH troopers(Axis forces in contested Tunisia were defeated by the Allies). Central Mediterranean Sea belongs to the Axis, the west to the Allies.

      With arriving U.S. forces via Fr. transports allows the French to use the Paris garrison for attack purposes. U.S. forces in N. Africa are turning the tide for the Allies, especially in controlling the seas off S. France.

      By Round 5 Axis highpoint, contested Burgundy, Marceilles, &, Tunisia taken. Is Paris next? By Round 6, Allies ready to invade Libya, taken Piedmont, and, the Axis are building forces to try to hold Northern Italy(gateway also to the AH Empire). Also a standoff in the Mediterranean Sea, that will eventually explode, as both sides are near equal in strength.

      By Round 7, France has already gotten control of the Central Mediterranean Sea, and, the U.S. has already taken Rome. Eventually France gives up Venice, to make sure what ever left over Italian forces, do not retake their capital, by invading Tuscany. Now Fr. contest Piedmont and Tuscany(having pull all forces out of Venice).

      Eventually Peace Breaks out, AHE cannot last long, with Italy lost and occupied Venice the only part of mainland Italy under Axis control, and, the only barrier to the Allies from entering Austro-Hungarian Empire. A major victory military and politically for the Allies. Northern Italy to be demilitarize, along with Trieste and Tryrolia. Also Axis fleets to stay in Home Waters, and, Allies fleets allowed to visit.

      Italy losses Western Libya to France, and, Northern Somaliland to the U.S. The New Roman Empire looks like the worn out one, of the early 400s A.D., only generous loans from AHE keeps the nation afloat.

      IPCs not used/picked up for a round nine, that is never played, for the Allies 109, &, Axis 52. IPCS lost for land forces Axis 377, and, Allies 274. Air 18 & 12, and, Sea 152 & 114.

      Areas lost of all of Mainland Italy and Libya. Forces left for Axis for troopers 09(three are all that is left for Italian Forces), &, 10 Allies, guns 5 & 6, tanks 1 & 2, fighters 2 Allies only, no subs, 3 Cruisers and 2 Battleships(one damaged) and 6 transports, all for Allies.

      This comes out to major political and a military victory for the Axis powers. Poland and Ukraine become independent nations, about 10% of former going to GE. and 10% of the latter to A.H. Empire. Also both theses new nations appreciate their new found freedom, and, yes join the Axis Powers. All Axis share the Suez Canal, with Egypt going back to the Ottoman Empire, and, just the western sandy small part of Egypt goes to Italy(to enlarge Libya), Germany gets back her African colonies, while Northern Sudan is control by the Ottoman Empire and the South by British Empire(cause the war’s end the Sudan was contested). Also Germany keeps the Lorraine and A.H. Empire sells back for big bucks to Russia Sevastopol with big oil deals.

      Also AH Empire goes from dual kingdom to triple kingdom, incorporating Yugoslavia, and, Axis fleets allowing to have a base in Sevastopol and visits to London and Brest. U.S.A. to allow one time fleets visit to Canada(what is the Axis going to do with the U.S., to invade it, they have to go to war, with probably all of the Americas).

      Finally Axis pressure onto Italy to disband and outlaw the new found Fasicst Party.

      IPCs not used or spent for Axis: AHE 72, GE. 100, Ottoman 40, and, Italy 20. Allies: Russia out of game, Fr. 47, British Empire 47, and, U.S.A, 42. These funds include IPCs collected for round nine, which was not played.

      Both sides have one provience contested, with the Axis losing seven territories, and, Allies losing twelve.

      Forces left on the board for Axis and Allied powers. Troopers 23 and 13, guns 21 and 2, tanks 2 and 1, fighters 5 and 2, submarines only one Axis, transports 2 and 4, cruisers only two for Allies, no BBS for either side.

      And finally total IPCs lost for Axis 1189, &, Allies 1114. AHE gave minor aid for N. Africa, some aid to help keep the southern door into France open, and, most of her efforts in taking down Russia. Russia usually hunkers down, but, with little aid from the Allies and, invasion by three Empires did not help, Germany main effort was naval, to keep Britain off balance, some efforts to France, but, most in taking out the proviences in Russia, France forces in Africa quickly dwindled and again having three Empires invading, did not help, British lost early naval wise, which lead to a very prolong effort to get transport system running, Turks kept their Empire from letting a linkup tween Russian and Britain, this allowed their effort to taking back, parts of Africa, Italians suffered lost of its territories and parts of its home empire, especially towards the last round, her forces in France were annihilated, finally U.S. tried to help Britain and France on the Western Front, but, most of its efforts were channeled into trying to drive the Axis out of Africa.

      Quite interesting game having Italy stay as a Axis Power, so it becomes four versus four. In real life the Allies probably would have won, but, the war definitely would have gone into a fifth year of fighting. As for the Axis it would have definitely become easier to score a victory, or, an more balance armistice for thier side.

      Using Italy as a catalyst and Roundrobin this particular empire, gave some intersting plays. On a one to one play Italy versus Russia/U.S. came up as the most chance of at least winning or a tie for both sides. Distance helps, as it would turn more into naval fighting than a land war. After all most of the Russian land forces will never see battle, while the U.S. starts the game with the most puny forces for any initial setups.

      For two powers versus two powers you have Italy pair up with the most powerful Axis of GE. and It./A.H. and Italy. Against US & Russia, US & British, Fr. & British, Russia & British, Russia & France.

      For three power setups of Italy, GE. and A.H. Empire, versus, Fr. & British & Russia. Also It. and A.H. Empire and Ottoman Empires, versus, British & Fr. & Russia, British & Fr. & U.S., and, Fr. & Russia & U.S.

      Finally Italy & GE. & Ottoman Empires, versus, Russia & Fr. & British Empire, Russia & Fr. & U.S., Russia & British & U.S., and, Fr. & British & U.S.A.

      U.S.A. uncontest the Sudan, &, frees Marseille. IPCs lost 8 & Axis 9.

      Round Eight: A.H. Empire retakes Burgundy, and, frees Libya. IPCs lost 13 and Allies 22.

      Russia is no longer in play.

      Germany retakes Lorraine, and, destroys both fleets in a failed Sealion. IPCs lost 118 and Allies 88, both sides at sea lost 4 BBs, 3 transports each(GE. transports had 4 troopers, tank, and, gun lost also), 2 fighters each, and, a sub. and cruiser for Germany also.

      France retakes Burgundy and Bordeaux. IPCs lost 14 and Axis 20.

      British Empire actually builds 2 fighters, so far since there is no round nine, all powers have been banking there IPCs for the build stage(if you have no future threat to capital/major seaport, you can skip buying units). IPCs lost 7 and Axis 8.

      Ottoman Empire takes Tunisia, and, contest Sudan. IPCs lost 9 and Allies 6.

      Italian Empire recontest Marceilles, no IPCs lost.

      U.S.A. Frees Tunisia and British East Africa, &, uncontest Marceilles. IPC lost 16 and Axis 25.

      For this last round, except for the British 2 fighters, and, Italy one fighter(the other powers did not buy any units). The unused IPCs were added to the IPCs earn by each player, for this round, for a final value.

      After More than a Century W.W.I Explosive Poses a Danger
      MANTOLOKING, N.J. – A century after World War I ended, discarded munitions from that and other wars continue to make their way onto beaches around the country.

      Items ranging from tiny fuses to full-scale mines are displaced by beach replenishment projects, sucked from the ocean floor and pumped ashore, or by strong storms that uncover them.

      The most recent discovery came earlier this month when seven WWI rifle grenades were found on the beach in Mantoloking, New Jersey, which is undergoing a beach replenishment project to undo damage from Superstorm Sandy more than five years ago.

      Many of the items were simply dumped overboard at the end of World Wars I and II; others remain from military drills or target practice. They’ve been discovered in at least 16 states from New Jersey to Hawaii.

      “Surprisingly or not, this stuff continues to turn up,” said Niall Slowey, an oceanography professor at Texas A&M University, who has studied the phenomenon extensively. “They disposed of millions of tons of this stuff.”

      No one knows how many pieces of munitions remain offshore, partly because the military’s own records as to how much was disposed of aren’t great. A Defense Department report to Congress in 2009 said more than half of sea disposals of munitions was done in the Atlantic Ocean; the Pacific got another 35 percent, and lesser amounts were dumped off Hawaii, Alaska, the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. The material was dumped as near as 5 miles from shore, in water as shallow as 50 feet.

      Slowey and a colleague released a 2012 study estimating there are millions of pounds of undersea bombs in the Gulf of Mexico alone.

      Disposal of unneeded munitions at sea was commonly accepted practice until 1970.

      “They thought it was beyond harm’s reach,” Slowey said. “People could not envision that there would be any interaction with material that deep on the ocean floor. But there is a lot more on the sea floor than anyone could have envisioned.”

      New Jersey has been home to some well-publicized discoveries, including more than 1,100 pieces of munitions pumped ashore during beach replenishment work on a mile and a half of sand in Surf City and Ship Bottom on Long Beach Island in 2007. The items, mostly fuses, prompted temporary bans on the use of metal detectors and the digging of holes in the sand more than a foot deep. It also created a cottage industry in T-shirts with slogans like “Our beaches will blow you away!” and “I got bombed on L.B.I.!”

      Similar material surfaced on the Jersey shore towns of Loch Arbour, Allenhurst and Deal in 2016 as part of another post-Sandy beach restoration project.

      In May 2008, a bomb squad from the Massachusetts State Police detonated several pieces of unexploded ordnance left over from World War II on Chappaquiddick, including practice bombs.

      In June 2013, a beachgoer discovered a partially buried German mine in the surf about 10 feet from shore in Bay Head, New Jersey, on the same day that the Assateague Island National Seashore in Maryland did a controlled explosion of a World War II bomb that had washed ashore.

      In July 2015, a photoflash bomb, designed to illuminate the night sky over WWII battlefields, was discovered on a beach near Tampa, Florida, where authorities blew it up on the sand.

      Military and civilian experts say they don’t know of anyone in the United States being injured by munitions found on a beach, but agree the potential for injury is real.

      “The problem is you just don’t know,” said Master Sgt. Brad Kline, an explosives disposal expert at New Jersey’s Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. “There could be explosive residue left behind. It’s definitely not worth the risk” of handling it. Military personnel use explosives to blow up munitions that are discovered on the beach and brought to the base.

      In Europe, there have been injuries and deaths from unexploded munitions, including the 2005 deaths of three Dutch fishermen whose nets brought a WWII bomb to the surface, and other fishermen burned by chemical weapons they unwittingly dredged up.

Thus speeding up the play, the previous scenario was started last Sept. 17 and finished this March 18, delayed due to those naughty girls Irma and Maria, thanks, Pellulo.

      Axis Powers(without Italy defecting) versus Entent Powers(no revolution in Russia, and, U.S. joins the Allies in round one). Also no minor allied powers, for only eight rounds(six months each round, for a total of four years).

      Round One: Axis will attack Russia with overwhelming forces, with constant reinforcements to take Moscow, or/&, take all of the provinces in Russia. With little income, Moscow can only hold out for so long, with GE. & AH Empires knocking on the door.

      Ottoman hopefully can try to take Sevastopol, &, with Italy invading S. France. Also with help from AH naval forces, try to take Africa(or cause as much trouble there for the Allies, by transporting forces to Libya).

      GE. will hold on the Western Front, &, AH will help to try to take S. France. AH Empire IPS losses 09 and Allies 9.

      Russia will hunker down, &, hopefully the Allies will come to the rescue. Keeping Belrusa as
      a gun park, and, taking Mesopotamia to keep the Ottoman from trying to enter S. Russia. Losses IPCs none, and, Axis 10.

      GE. does a Battle of Jutland, &, IPCs losses 24, and, Allies 55.

      France builds up forces to invade Alsace and Piedmont. Sends navy to help protect London, &, builds up naval forces in Mediterranean to counter Axis naval forces. No IPCs lost.

      British Empire needs to help France, but, first controll the situation in Africa, reinforce Russia in Mesopotamia, and, gain control of its Home Waters(in order to avoid a “Sea Lion” invasion by Germany). IPCs lost 10 & Axis 22. Somalialand taken.

      Ottoman Empire needs to retake Mesopotamia, before it can attack Russia’s back door via Sevastopol. Mesopotamia is contested, &, Arabia is taken. Losses IPCs 28 & Allies 26.

      Italy can only reinforce Libya, but, weaken Egypt is tempting. Egyptian sea invasion fails, but, Libya is uncontested. IPCs lost 11, &, Allies 19.

      U.S.A. sends fleet to help British stop GE. subs. from breaking out to the Atlantic.

      Round Two: Austro-Hungarian Empire takes over Ukraine and Egypt(via sea landing). Losses IPCs 12 & Allies 15.

      Russia has already lost Poland to GE., but, to lose Ukraine to AH Empire, could mean Sevastopol is next. That could lead to the Ottoman Empire to come through, much less lose the only connection to an ally(the British). Contested Ukraine with IPCs losses 30 and Axis 51.

      Germany surface Naval forces get bottle up in Kiel, while the u-boats score big off the coast of Ireland. Takes Belarusa and contest Livonia. IPCs lost 36 and Allies 70. The temption to take Lorraine is incredible, but, more time is gain for the Eastern Front, just making the Allies even try to attack Alsace.

      France takes vía sea and land assault Libya, &, after wiping out AH Empire’s navy, controls the central Mediterranean Sea(also take Sicily).

      Reinforces Western Front, clears out the last German U-boat, and, prepares for Axis attack through Italy. Losses IPCs 9, &, Axis. 36.

      British Empire destroys invading GE. Forces and uncontested S. Africa, still trying to control waters off Kiel. Losses IPCs 24 & Axis 27.

      Ottoman Empire contest Mesopotamia, reinforces AH control Egypt, losses 9 & Allies 9.

      Italian Empire finally attacks in the West, contest Marceilles.

      U.S.A. Republic sends forces to help France in N.W. Africa and S. France.

      Russia retakes Belarus, nearly frees Livonia, but, has reached the stage where weakness will no longer make it possible to protect it proviences. Losses IPCs 23 & Axis 45.

      Germany retakes Belarus, fails in a SeaLion invasion of the United Kingdom, finally attacks Lorraine. Already three Axis powers are in France, and, there is very little British forces there, contest Lorraine. Still it will be even harder to send reinforcements to the Western Front, with so much tied into the Eastern Front.

      France contest Gold Coast, takes Libya, &, Sardina. France’s navy controls the Mediterranean Sea and protects the waters off London. IPCs lost 21 & Axis 30.

      British Empire takes S.W. Africa, needs to move its forces off the U.K., now that it seems no invasion will occur. Losses in IPCs 9 and Axis 15.

      Ottoman Empire protexts and drives out Allies trying to retake Egypt from A.H. Empire. Nearly retakes Mesopotamia. Losses in IPCs 15 & Allies 10.

      Italian Empire suffers heavy losses both sides, but, fails to take Marceilles. Worse is that the Fr. may get reinforcements, all the while losing both colonies in Africa and the major islands in the Mediterranean Sea. Losses IPCs 30 and Allies 32.

      U.S. frees Gold Cast, and, reinforces French N. Africa, and, south of France. Losses Axis 3 IPCs.

      Round Four: A.H. Empire takes Ukraine and Burgundy, losses IPCs 18 & Allies 36. Could Paris fall, before Moscow?

      Russian Empire retakes Livonia and Belarus. Losses IPCs lost 9 and Axis 16. The need to keep A.H. Empire and German Empire from “ganging up” on Moscow is of prime importance.

      German Empire is on a roll, retakes Livonia and Belarus, also Lorraine and Picardy. Yet land forces are starting to run out, in Eastern Front just seiging Moscow leaves the proviences of Russia as easy prey, but, on Western Front arriving Allied forces will probably force a retreat back to Alsace. Of course Italy and A.H. Empire may tip the scales in France.

      Losses 15 and Allies 37.

      French Empire contest Picardy, has three Axis Powers attacking its home proviences. Losses 12 & Axis 19. Will British and U.S. forces in France help turn the tide?

      British Empire lands reinforcements into Picardy to help French forces and attack invading Germans, knocking the teeth out of the Axis power. Losses 25 & Axis 24.

      Ottoman Empire frees Libya for Italy, and, liberates Mesopotamia. Losses both sides 6 IPCs.

      Italian Empire finally rakes Marceilles, losses IPCs 12 & Allies 26.

      U.S. is the only Ally that has no territories, occupied by the Axis, losses IPCs 6 & Axis 12.

      A.H.E. May have just won the war, on this turn, contest both Moscow and Paris, &, takes over Sevastopol and Tartistan. Losses IPCs 32 and Allies 40.

      Russia has lost half of its proviences, losses IPCs 6 & Axis 6.

      Germany also contest Moscow, fails to take it, but, reduces Russian forces down to one trooper. Also reduces Fr. fleet protecting waters off London. IPCs lost 45 and Allies 30.

      French Empire takes Kamerun, retakes Burgundy, losses fleet off London, but, destroys GE. Fleet off Kiel. Losses IPCs 27 & Axis 33.

      British Empire frees Picardy, by sea landing takes Prussia(to show the Axis they can be invaded, not so much, more to annoy Germany). Losses IPCs 6 & Axis 20.

      Ottoman Empire takes Tunisia and Sudan, losses IPCs 26 and Allies 31.

      Italian Empire finally takes Bordeaux, losses IPCs 6 and Allies 12.

      U.S.A. Takes Egypt by sea, and, on test Libya. IPCs lost Axis 12.

      Round Six: A.H.E. takes Kazakhstan and Burgundy, losses IPCs 42 and Allies 55.

      Russia has one trooper left, after attack by A.H. Empire, will just build this turn. Retakes Ukraine left empty by attacking Axis power.

      German Empire takes Moscow and Karelia. Also contest Picardy again(Western Front forces are very low, but, in the pipeline some re inforcements are on the way, while the Eastern Front is pretty much max. out with forces). IPCs losses 9 and Allies 22.

      France contest Bordeaux, IPCs lost 9 and Axis 10.

      British Empire retakes Picardy, and, help France in Bordeaux. Losses IPCs 6 and Axis 18.

      Ottoman Empire takes Egypt, and, British E. Africa. IPS lost 3 and Allies 09.

      Italian Empire force to retreat from Bordeaux, try to hold onto Marseille. Italy is the only Axis power, to have lost actual home proviences, much less it’s African colonies. Losses IPCs none.

      U.S.A. frees Tunisia, and, take again Libya. IPCSs lost 15 & Axis 22.

      Round Seven: A.H.E. retakes Ukraine(destroys the last of the Russian forces), &, recontest Paris. IPCs lost 27 and Allies 33.

      Russian Empire only exist in Finland, it is out play.

      German Empire with the funds gotten from taking Moscow, will built for another chance at a Operation Sealion. Takes the last province of the Russian Empire, Finland. IPCs lost only 6 for the Allies.

Also from capital 2 troopers to Bohemia, &, trooper & gun to Tryrolia(if Munich falls, the Allies will be bordering the western part of the empire). Finally a trooper from the capital to Galicia, while a trooper from Bulgaria moves to Romania, &, another trooper moves from Greece to Bulgaria.

      Cruiser leaves home port, attacks Allied fleet of U.S. damaged B.B., C, 2 transports, and, Fr. transports. Losses a C each side(those transports were too tempting).

      Battle more to contest, than actually occupy, 3 troopers and fighter from capital, enter Uk., versus, 3 Russian troopers. Losses 2 troopers & fighter, &, Russian 2 troopers, Uk. Is contested. From Rumania 2 troopers & gun, enter Sevastopol defended by 5 Russian troopers. Losses only a Axis trooper, Sevastopol is contested. For now the Empire has brought some breathing space, at the end of the round, will it be of any worth?

      Russian Empire builds gun & 4 troopers. From capital 2 troopers enter Uk. & the trooper already there enter Sevastopol. In contested Uk. 2 troopers versus invading AH trooper, both sides lose a trooper, Uk. is uncontested. In Sevastopol 2 troopers leave & enter Mesopotamia, the remaining 3 troopers, versus, invading AH trooper & gun. Losses all Axis, Sevastopol is uncontested.

      Meanwhile from capital 3 troopers & gun enter Belarus, occupied by GE. 2 troopers & gun, losses 2 troopers & none Axis, Belarus is contested.

      GE. builds B.B., sub., tank, &, gun. Hanover garrison goes to contested Munich of 2 troopers & gun(with fighter from capital),versus, British gun & trooper. Losses all British, Hanover is no longer
      contested. Three troopers move from capital to Hanover, while the remaining four enter & try to contest Kiel, versus, British 5 troopers & tank. Losses each side losses a trooper, the tank absorb a hit for the British.

      Meanwhile for the Eastern Front, 2 troopers from Prussia go to Berlin, while trooper & gun from Poland move back to Prussia(the threat from seaborn landings is too great). In Belarus 3 troopers & gun(a trooper from Poland), versus, Russian trooper & gun. Loses a trooper, &, all Allies, Belarus is back in Axis hands. Also a trooper from Livonia goes back to Poland, while the remaining trooper & gun abandon Livonia, and, take undefended Karelia(more to annoy the Russians, as they cannot even adequately defend 4 territories in Russia, with just 4 troopers & 2 guns so spread out).

      The Germans are hoping to foil any sea landings on the north coast, even still the Western Allies broadfront push on the Western Front cannot be stopped for long. While the Eastern Front is already lost, with no reinforcements going there.

      Fr. builds a gun, trooper, fighter, sub., &, B.B.(naval units for Macellies). Transport takes a trooper from Piedmont & Sardina, and, lands them onto Sicily, defended by A.H. trooper. Both sides lose a trooper, Sicily is taken. From Marceilles a C goes to off the Gold Coast, while a transport off Wales heads for East Coast.

      Meanwhile 2 troopers, gun, &, fighter, from Piedmont invade Venice(defended by It. 2 troopers & AH 3 troopers & gun). Losses a trooper, &, It. trooper, and, 2 AH troopers, Venice is contested. Earlier from Burgundy to Piedmont moves 4 troopers & gun.

      On Western Front Paris garrison of 4 troopers & gun move to Burgundy(fighter flies to Lorraine). From Alsace to Hanover 6 troopers, gun, and, tank, invade Munich protected by AH tank & trooper, and, GE. 2 troopers, gun, &, fighter. Losses both sides had a tank that absorb a hit, Fr. lose 2 troopers and, AH a trooper & GE. a trooper & gun. Munich is contested.

      British Empire builds U.K. a transport, B.B., fighter, &, trooper, and, in India, 2 fighters, trooper, &, gun.
      With this second half of players, the Brits. are the last heavy hitting Allied player left, let us see what trouble they can cause for the Axis Powers.

      Trooper moves from Sudan to Egypt, transport off India brings tank to Mesopotamia & trooper to Arabia(fighter flies into latter). Three transport off Kiel go to off London, picks up four troopers, gun, &, fighter flying in to join just one defending trooper in Kiel, versus, 3 GE. troopers. Losses 1 trooper, &, all Axis forces, Kiel is retained. Meanwhile trooper & gun from the Ruhr, and, the rest of the garrison from Kiel of 2 troopers & tank, enter Hanover defended by 3 GE. troopers. Losses a hit absorbed by tank, &, all Axis forces, Hanover falls.

      Also another fighter from London flies to the Ruhr, with damaged B.B. off Kiel, goes to GE. Waters off Berlin, to join cruiser already there, versus, GE. BB & cruiser. Losses all but damaged GE. BB, still even with the lost of the fleet off Berlin, Germany only controls three of its eight home provinces.

      Ottoman Empire builds sub., &, 4 troopers. Moves 2 troopers from Smyrna to reinforce Jordan, with 2 troopers from capital to Symrna(while a trooper from Jordan reinforces Syria). Finally from capital trooper sent to reinforce Bulgaria, &, 2 troopers & gun sent to Ankara.

      Syria & Ankara garrisons of 3 troopers, 2 guns, tank, &, fighter try to retake Mesopotamia(facing Russian 2 troopers, and, British trooper, gun, tank, &, fighter). Losses a fighter(lost in air duel), both sides have tanks that absorbed a hit, Ottoman lose 2 troopers & gun, &, Russians 2 troopers. Mesopotamia is contested!

      Finally sub. submerges off coast of Nigeria, as it cannot pass by Fr. Cruiser off Togoland, or, cannot go through the Suez Canal.

      Italy builds a gun, &, 2 troopers. This New Roman Empire once controlled all of N. Africa, Southern France & contested Central France. Now it is to the Axis, what Russia is to the Allies, the Power with the most lost territories.

      Sends from Tuscany( trooper & 2 guns), to help AH forces trying to defend Venice from French forces of trooper, gun, &, fighter. Losses a gun & Fr. all, Venice is uncontested! Again from Tuscany sends a trooper to Rome, one stays in Tuscany, &, 2 troopers try to contest Piedmont(occupied by Fr. 3 troopers & gun). Losses 2 troopers & Fr. a trooper.

      Finally from Rome 2 trooper, tank, &, fighter try to take back Naples, help by U.S. forces of trooper & gun. The fighter flies back to Rome. Losses tank absorbs a hit, &, U.S. a gun. Naples is contested!

      U.S. builds B.B., transport, &, tank. From East Coast escort C & 2 transport(with 2 troopers, gun, &, tank) arrive off Morocco, while fighter flies in. Also 2 transports off Morocco arrive off the East Coast.

      Using 2 transports off Egypt, they pick up 2 troopers & tank, and, land them to reinforce the trooper in Naples, versus, It. 2 troopers & tank. Losses each side absorbs a hit cause of their tanks, and, It. Trooper destroyed by damaged B.B. shelling.

      Finally trooper arrives in Sudan, moving from East Africa, and, …

      …Peace breaks out. Losses troopers Axis 207, &, Allies 182, guns 63 & 52, tanks 1 & 3, fighters 12 & 11, transports 2 & 4, subs. 12 & 10, cruisers 9 & 10, BB 6 & 7. Total IPCs left Axis 91, &, Allies 123.

      Units left on board troopers Axis 38, &, Allies 43. Guns 10 & 10. Tanks 4 & 4. Fighters 4 & 7. Transports Allies only 12. Subs. 2 & 2. Cruisers Allies only of 3. Battleships 2 & 4.

      Finally only A.H. Empire is still intact, and, for the Allies Russia is the only power with territories control by the Axis powers. In Arica all six Axis colonies are occupied, in Asia Minor the Ottomans have Mesopotamia contested. Meanwhile in the Mediterranean Area Italy has lost 2 territories and has two contested, while in the Balkans Allied Greece, Serbia, &, Romania are occupied.

      For the Eastern Front Russia has four territories occupied, and, the Western Front GE. has lost 4 provinces and one contested.

      Moderate Allied Victory, with Prussia and Poland as independent nations, and, buffers tween Germany and Russia. Mesopotamia split between the Allies for its oil fields economical use(still administered by Turkey). U.S. keeps Togoland and the Italian colonies and prepares them for nationhood((thus annoying the heck out of Italy), while the three former GE. colonies are split
      between the remaining Allies(with Russia selling theirs for big bucks back to Germany & AH).

      Of course the Axis can continue the war, but, with Germany and Italy on its last legs, Russia making a comback, France and British steamrolling on the Western Front, U.S. making inroads in the Mediterranean area, Austria-Hungary Empire and Ottomn Empire cannot save the day for the Axis Powers.

      Finally Axis Empires convert to constitional monarch system like the British, Allied naval fleets can dock and have bases in Kiel and Trieste. Lower Trieste, and, Albania, and, Serbia form a new nation. Everybody joins the new League of Nations, thus avoiding a Second World War.

      At sea C & sub. Go off Kiel, while a transport off Kiel returns to London, picks up 2 troopers & returns to off Kiel(no mine losses). Also 2 transports pick up 4 Canadian Troopers in Picardy and goes off Kiel(no mine losses). BB shells & defending gun replies, each take out a trooper. Landed 5 troopers versus Ge. 2 troopers & gun. Losses British 2 troopers & Ge. a trooper. Kiel is contested! The remaining Belgium garrison of trooper & gun enter the Ruhr, while 2 troopers in a Fr. transport debark onto Picardy.

      The whole U.K. is emptied of British forces! The Brits. Forces are all spread out, but, it will be hard for the Axis to uncontest both Kiel and Hanover(maybe one, but, not both).

      Ottoman forces build a fighter & 4 troopers. Moves trooper & gun back into Italian occupied Egypt to hunker down, sends a trooper into Sudan to reinforce trooper already there from Egypt( to delay any Allied attacks from the south into Egypt). Also sends another trooper from Jordan into Egypt.

      Meanwhile sub. in Red Sea would like to attack British transport off India, but, two fighters in India and Mesopotamia detour that choice(but goes for the easy kill of U.S. transport off Ge. East Africa).

      Finally garrison in Anakra splits and sends 2 troopers & gun into Syrian Desert. While capital sends 2 troopers into Ankara, 2 troopers into Smyrna, &, into Jordan a trooper & gun from Smyrna. The Ottomans are too weak to drive the Allies out of Mesopotamia, but, holding out in territories in Europe and Africa, have something to bargain with at the peace table.

      Italian Empire builds sub., &, 4 troopers. Last It. trooper in Africa, goes from Egypt to defend
      Libya(the Ottomans will have to try to hold onto Egypt by themselves).

      Four troopers arrive in contested Piedmont, for a total of 5 troopers, &, 2 guns to drive out Fr. Invaders of 3 troopers & 2 guns. Losses It. 2 troopers & Fr. all but a trooper. Rome garrison of 3 troopers & 2 guns move into Tuscany. Italy cannot deal with a Fr. taking over Piedmont, &, a potential seaboard landing in Rome.

      U.S.A. builds, transport, gun, tank, &, trooper. Submarine joins British fleet of Kiel, no mine lost. Trooper in British East Africa enter undefended It. Somaliland, it falls. Two troopers enter and take It. Libya for a lost of a trooper, each side. Cruiser & sub.(with fighter from Tunisia)enter It. waters, versus, two It. sub.(U.S. losses a sub. due to mines & fighter, and, It. lose both subs.). Followed by transport with a trooper & gun from Libya, &, another U.S. transport from Tunisia.

      They land in It. occupied Egypt, defended by Ottoman forces of 2 troopers & fighter. Losses Allies none, and, all Axis(Egypt is freed).

      Finally a BB escorting 2 transports with 3 troopers & tank(form East Coast), arrive off Morocco. Africa may be a sideshow, but, it is nearly Axis free!

      Round 7: A.H. Empire builds sub., fighter, gun, &, 5 troopers. From Tyrolia to Munich 2 troopers, gun, &, tank, joins GE. forces. Trooper & gun goes from Trieste to Venice, while 2 troopers & gun go from capital to Trieste. Meanwhile from capital a trooper goes to Vienna, &, 3 more troopers move to Galicia. From Galicia to Romania 2 troopers & gun arrive.

      Finally from Romania 2 troopers & 2 guns invade Sevastopol, for no lost contest it, while Russia
      a trooper.

      Russian Empire builds 6 troopers & gun. The need to push GE. out of Belarus takes top priority, with getting AH Empire out of Sevastopol, &, keeping a presence in Mesopotamia takes a backseat(perhaps a slight push on all options, after all whatever losses with GE. can be replace, while Germany finds it hard to send any more forces to the Eastern Front, as the war winds down and ends in round eight).

      Russian trooper & gun enter Ankara from Mesopotamia, versus, Ottoman 2 troopers & gun. Losses a gun & Ottoman 2 troopers. Three troopers enter Sevastopol from Uk. to join 2 defending troopers
      from AH Empire of 2 troopers & 2 guns. Losses none, &, AH of trooper & gun.

      Three troopers from capital move to Ukraine, &, from capital 4 troopers & 2 guns and trooper from Livonia enter Belarus(earlier another trooper from Livonia took out remaining GE. Trooper in Moscow, both lost, but, allowed Moscow garrison to enter Belarus). Belarus occupied by GE. Forces of 6 troopers & 2 guns, losses Russian 4 troopers & gun, and, GE. 3 troopers.

      Hopefully taking on three Axis powers will give a bit of a lead for the other Entent Powers.

      GE. builds submarine, &, 7 troopers. The GE. Builds are mostly for defense, as the need to stop the Western Allies is of paramount importance, troops in the East cannot come to the rescue, but, may grab or contest enough territories(to bargain at the peace table).

      Two troopers & gun, from Munich joins defending trooper in Hanover, along with 4 troopers & fighter from capital, versus, British 4 troopers & gun. Losses Axis 5 troopers, &, Allies all, Hanover is freed! Fighter lands in Kiel. Two troopers & gun, from capital, go to Kiel defended by trooper & gun, trying to repulse, British forces of 3 troopers landed by sea. Losses Axis 2 troopers & gun, &, Alíes all, Kiel is also uncontested!

      On the Eastern Front the Belarus garrison is split, 2 troopers & gun, for no lost, take out Russian forces of trooper & gun, trying to retake the area. The remaining garrison of 2 troopers & gun reinvade Livonia, protested by Russian trooper & gun, it falls! Losses GE. none, &, Allies all.

      With GE. Forces spread out, it is hard to defend and hold theses areas, but, they give GE. some clout in any peace talks

      Spring 1918, The Emperor’s Battle threatens Paris, after the Germans launch a massive attack using forces from the now peaceful Eastern Front. In this ten round game, from February to November 1918, can the Allies hold out, in order to reorganize thier defensive position, that can lead to a successful counterattack.

      The British need to hold, while the French organize themselves, with the Americans going into battle for the first time. Also by Round Two, Marshall Foch of France becomes Supreme Leader of the Allied Forces(for the first time ALL Allied forces can join as one in attacks).

      New units include marines for the Americans, shock troops for the Germans, light Renault tank for the French, A7V tank for the Germans, Whippit light tank for the British, mounted A.T. Gun for the Germans, Sopwith fighter for the British and U.S. forces, Spad for the French and Fokker for the German air forces, finally the introduction of D.D. for all, and, the dreaded bomber for British and German air forces.

      Finally the introduction of Belgium and Portuguese infantry forces on the Western Front.

      Back to the game, France builds C, fighter, gun, &, 4 troopers. Transport returns from Canada & goes off Wales, another off Wales goes to off London. Transport and sub. leave Marceilles , enters Italian waters(no mine lost), picks up trooper from Piedmont(after garrison from Burgundy enters Piedmont). Trooper on transport debarks unto Sardina, defeats defending AH trooper, for no lost. Meanwhile sub. enters AH waters(no mine lost), attacks AH sub. and C, both submarines are lost.

      In Piedmont, fighter(flown in from Paris), gun, &, 6 troopers, versus, It. 2 guns, &, 3 troopers. Losses Fr. 3 troopers , & , Axis all. Piedmont Falls! Also Paris garrison enter Burgundy, of 4 troopers & gun. Finally Lorraine garrison enters Alsace with gun, tank, &, 5 troopers(joining a trooper already there).

      In Africa trooper from Belgium Congo enters Sudan, versus, 2 occupying Ottoman troopers(trooper lost each side).

      British Empire builds for India a fighter & tank, and, for U.K. 2 fighters, gun, &, 4 troopers. Trooper from Fr. Eq. Africa enters Sudan, versus, lone Ottoman trooper, no losses, but, Sudan is contested. In Mesopotamia trooper splits from garrison, enters Arabia and for no lost, takes out Ottoman trooper. Also split Mesopotamia garrison again, with trooper & gun, entering Sevastopol contested by AH
      trooper & gun. Losses a trooper & Axis all, Sevastopol is uncontested(fighter flies back to Mesopotamia). Finally remaining trooper from Mesopotamia enter contested Ankara with fighter from India, versus, remaining Ottoman trooper. Losses none Allies & Ottoman trooper, Ankara falls. Along with from India trooper & gun, via transport, arrives into Mespotamia.

      Western Front, 2 troopers in Picardy board a transport from waters off Kiel. Cruiser & sub. enter waters off Berlin, no mine lost, versus, GE. submarine, both sides lose a submarine. Two transports off Kiel, return to London, pick up 3 troopers & tank, &, no mine lost, lands them into Kiel(along with 2 troopers from Picardy pick up by another transport). First an arial duel, fighter from London, defeats fighter defending Kiel. Damaged B.B. shells and defending gun replies, GE. trooper destroyed. Finally fighter, tank, &, 5 troopers finish off remaining gun(tank absorb hit from gun). Kiel falls again!

      Also trooper & 2 guns in Alsace enter Hanover defended by A.H. Empire of 2 troopers, gun, &, tank. Losses a gun, &, A.H. trooper & gun(tank absorb a hit). Munich contested, from Ruhr a trooper & gun enter Hanover, defended by GE. 2 troopers & gun. Losses a gun, &, Germans none, still the British know that with Hanover contested, makes it hard for any GE. counterattacks, in the future.

      Ottoman Empire builds gun, &, 6 troopers. Sub off East Africa goes to S.W. Africa, cause the Suez Canal is close to it, and, the waters off India has 2 fighters covering that area. Trooper in contested Sudan abandons it, &, enter Egypt with 2 troopers & gun from Jordan, versus, U.S. 2 troopers & gun. Losses 2 troopers ,&, Allies trooper & gun, Egypt is contested again.

      Two troopers move from Smyrna to Jordan, &, another two move from capital to Smyrna. Fighter from capital attacks 2 Russian Cruisers in Ottoman Home Waters, &, sinks one for no lost(fighter lands in capital).       Italy builds a tank, &, fighter. For right now, their forces will hunker down, the northern part of the country will be lost for now, perhaps in the next & last round, they might counterattack. Sends capital garrison (sans a trooper)to Tuscany, while 2 troopers already there(leaving behind their 2 guns), move to Venice. Finally a trooper moves from Naples to Rome.

      U.S. builds 2 transports, fighter, &, 2 troopers. Two transports off Libya head back to East Coast, while 2 transports off Morocco with 2 troopers, gun, &, tank(along with B.B. for escort). They arrive but B.B. suffers mine damage.

      Sea landings trooper with tank land in Egypt(joins trooper already there, with another which came from Libya), versus, Ottoman trooper & gun. BB & defending gun score no hits, losses Allies a trooper, &, Axis all, Africa is all Allied controlled!

      Meanwhile a trooper & gun land in Naples, versus, defending It. trooper. Naples falls for no lost to United States.

      Howdy, due to a lost of 18.75% of files(that I am looking for), this scenario may be not yo we’re expecting, thanks, Pellulo/Blacklodge

      Two troopers from U.K. board a Fr. transport off Wales, plus four more U.K. troopers board and debarked onto Belgium from two transports. Also from two Fr. transports, three Candian troopers and gun debark onto Brest. From waters off London, BB and sub.(no mine damage, enter GE. Waters off Kiel), along with a fighter. They encounter a damaged B.B. and a undamaged B.B., after battle the Allies lose only a sub., while the GE. Fleet is sunk.

      In Mediterranean Sea a B.B. off Egypt, moves to off Libya(no mine damage), in order to protect a U.S. transport. From Red Sea a transport returns to off India, while a trooper and gun board another transport and debark onto Mesopotamia, to reinforce Allied forces there.

      Meanwhile a trooper and gun each reinforces the French in Lorraine and Burgundy from pending Italian attacks. From Belgium Congo a trooper and gun free Fr. Eq. Africa that was left undefended by Germany.

      Combat as forces from Belgium of 2 troopers and 2 guns invade and defeat GE. Forces of trooper and gun defending the Ruhr, for the lost of 1 trooper.

      Finally reinforcements of trooper, tank, gun, &, transport are set for U.K., with 2 troopers & 2 guns for India. The British Empire now controls the North Sea, making inroad into Germany, helping defend in France from Italian forces, but, the situation in Africa and Mid-East is tense.

      Ottoman Empire builds sub., three troopers, and, two guns. Moves from capital to Smyrna three troopers and a gun, also Smyrna to Ankara a trooper and gun. Also a trooper and gun head for Egypt from Jordan, with another trooper entering undefended British Empire’s ally of Arabia.

      Meanwhile two troopers from Ankara joins forces in contested Mesopotamia, battle of five troopers & two guns, versus, Russian trooper and British fighter, trooper and gun. Losses all Allies and four Ottoman troopers, Mesopotamia is freed!

      From Egypt fighter and trooper and gun, try to free Italian Libya from U.S. trooper and gun, both sides lose a gun. The colony is still contested.

      At sea from Home Water submarine and fighter, attack Allies fleet off Libya of U.S. transport and British BB. Losses the submarine and U.S. transport & British B.B. damaged.

      Right now the Turks are the only Axis power to actually gain territory without losing any!

      Italy builds submarine, &, 4 troopers. A fighter flies from Rome to Marcellies(but cannot comit to battle, used up all its turns), while a trooper & gun moves from Rome to Tuscany & same from Tuscany to Piedmont.

      In contested Tunisia trooper & gun defeat lone Fr. Trooper for the lost of a gun, now Axis forces are on both sides of contested Libya with its lone U.S. trooper.

      In France the Italians need to attack, to slow down Allied incursions into Germany, the decision is to invade Burgandy from Italian occupied Marcellies. Eight troopers & four guns, versus, Brits. trooper & gun, and, Fr. 5 troopers. Burgandy is contested(the non active fighter would have won it for the Axis), losses Italy 5 troopers & all the French forces. Next round will see if this really help the Germans allot.

      U.S.A. builds 3 troopers, tank, &, cruiser. Transport moves to off Kameron from N.W. Africa with Fr. trooper, &, 3 transports with 4 troopers and gun leave East Coast & debark onto Morocco. Along with a sub. and a fighter(another sub. arrives off Ireland).

      From Togoland, lone U.S. trooper frees undefended Nigeria.

      In this “what if” scenario where Italy stays a Axis power. The Allies are just barely holding on, using Italy as a constant for any further scenarios, whereby using all Axis powers against any three Allies would lead to their defeat. You do not use British Empire/U.S. the Axis would take over Africa, then turn their full attention on Europe. If you skip France/Russia you just have the the Axis gang up on the sole continental Allied power(you could afford to lose Africa). Any variation of all Axis powers against any two/one Allied power would be a lesson in patience before the Allies/Ally loss.

      The fun part, again with Italy as a constant, would be three/two/one power(s) against the same number. Italy only versus the U.S. could draw at least a tie after eight rounds, even thought the U.S. has more income, Italy has a bigger initial setup.

      As for three/two powers against two/one powers(again Italy as a constant Axis power) would lead to some more interesting game variations. Quick lost for the Allies any power tied in with the U.S. for two Allies versus three Axis powers. Another quick lost would be any three Allied powers versus just Italy & Ottoman Empire(the latter a pair of weak sisters).

      After this scenario I will try the same setup without the minor Allies/powers. If interested give one of theses scenarios a try, I like my historical scenarios as a certain Mr. Bond would say …”shaken not sitirred”…(also “what if” scenarios I rather see on t.v., for instance “The Man in the High Castle”).

      Back to the game…

      Round Five: A.H. Empire builds gun, 4 troopers, tank, fighter, &, submarine. Moves Tyrolia garrison of 4 troopers and 2 guns to Munich. Sub leaves home waters and sinks damage British B.B. off the coast of Libya(sub is lost also).

      Meanwhile Romania the defending Russian trooper is lost, for no lost to attacking trooper and gun from Galicia.

      Russian Empire builds a gun & 7 troopers. Uk. a trooper & gun move to Sevastopol, and, from capital 2 troopers move to Ukraine. Trooper and gun and fighter enter contested Livonia, as reinforcements for the trooper defending against invading Ge. trooper & gun. Battle Russia loses a trooper & fighter flies back to capital, &, Ge. losses a gun.

      German Empire builds cannot have much effect for the Eastern Front, as forces are needed for expulsion of Western Allies in the fatherland. The navy sucks up allot of resources to just counterbalance the Allied fleets. As for the reinforcement starve units outside Moscow, would have to all have a hit, if they attack and take out all the cheap infantry Russia built.

      The builds are: sub., C, gun, &, 7 troopers. In Africa trooper & gun from Sudan, reinvade the Fr. Eq. Africa to destroy pursuing British trooper & gun, both sides lose a gun. In Europe from capital a trooper moves to Prussia, from Prussia a trooper and gun moves to Poland, &, from Poland a trooper moves to Livonia.

      The Belarus garrison invades Moscow, with a fighter, 12 troopers, &, 3 guns, versus, Russian fighter & 14 troopers & gun. Both fighters are lost in the air duel, the Axis lose 6 troopers, &, the Allies lose 5 troopers.

      Meanwhile on the Western Front from the capital trooper, gun, &, tank sent to Hanover, and, also trooper & fighter sent to Kiel. Along in contested Alsace trooper & 2 guns, versus, the same Fr. forces. Losses 2 guns each side.

      French Empire builds 5 troopers, gun, &, submarine. In Africa trooper debarks U.S. transport, onto undefended Ge. Cameron colony, while another transport heads to Canada and also to Portugal from Brest.

      The French will try to clean house, &, still try to advance into Germany. From Bordeaux, 5 troopers & 3 guns, with a fighter from Loraine, attempt to retake Italian occupied Marsellies defended by fighter, 2 troopers & 2 guns. In air duel Allies win, losses Fr. none & all Italian. Meanwhile Paris garrison enters contested Burgundy of 6 troopers, gun, &, tank, versus, It. 3 troopers & 2 guns. Losses Fr. none & It. all(one Axis hit was absorbed by tank). France is whole again, incredible bad dice throws for the Axis powers, if it was real, the It. field marshals would be lined up against the wall & shot by their own government.

      From the Medderterian Front to the Wester Front, from Lorraine a trooper & 2 guns, reinforces a trooper, in contested Alsace, defended by a Ge. trooper. Losses a trooper each side, Alsace has fallen for now to the Allies.

      British Empire builds U.K. a C, submarine, 2 troopers, &, India fighter, &, 3 troopers. Arriving to Belgium from U.K. via 2 transports 2 troopers, &, 2 guns. Also 2 troopers on a Fr. transport off Wales lands into Picardy(the U.K. has been picked clean of units). Finally off Canada 2 troopers board a Fr. transport.

      From Burgundy to Loraine, from Lorraine to Alsace trooper & gun move. Also from Brest 4 Canadian troopers move into Picardy, &, at last 5 troopers & gun move from Belgium to Ruhr.

      Off India via 2 transports trooper & 2 guns lands into Mesopotamia, and, take out for no lost, defending Ottoman trooper & 2 guns. Meanwhile a remaining trooper on a transport arrives off Ge. occupied Sudan on the Red Sea, trooper lands and retakes colony.

      In North Sea off Kiel, B.B. takes out Ge. C & submarine, the B.B. is damaged. Air duel occurs and both Allies & Axis fighter are destroyed. Meanwhile a transport lands a tank & trooper, BB shells and defending gun both take out an trooper(it is tempting but the tank cannot absorb the hit, while at sea). Now the remaining tank, and, trooper & 2 guns(the later from the Ruhr), attack the remaining Ge. defenders in Kiel of a trooper & gun. Losses British tank absorbs a hit and is also taken as a lost(rather lose the tank, cause it has a poor defense than a gun, in the inevitable German counterattack), &, Ge. lose a gun. Kiel remains contested.

      Ottoman Empire builds a tank, a gun, &, 4 troopers. A trooper from Jordan enter Arabia, another enters Egypt. Two troopers go from Smyrna to Jordan, while a trooper & gun move to Ankara. From capital a trooper & gun move to Smyrna, &, 2 troopers to Ankara. Meanwhile a trooper from Arabia, &, trooper & gun from Ankara(with fighter from capital)enters occupied Mesopotamia, versus,
      British Indian trooper & gun. Losses Ottoman trooper & fighter(latter chosen cause of poor fighter defense), &, British Indian forces 2 guns.

      In Africa a sub. goes through the Suez Canal & sinks a British transport in the Red Sea. In contested Libya trooper & fighter attack occupying U.S. trooper, Libya is returned to the Italians for no lost for Ottoman forces. From Italian held Egypt, trooper & gun enter Sudan & defeat defending British trooper for a lost of a gun.

      Italian Empire builds 2 guns, &, 3 troopers. Trooper goes from Tunisia to undefended Fr. Algeria, all of Africa only are two troopers. Trooper & gun go from Tuscany to Piedmont, 4 troopers from capital to Tuscany(awaiting the potential Fr. Invasion).

      U.S.A. builds transport, B.B., &, trooper. Sub. off Ireland goes to off London, to join British fleet, cruiser off East Coast moves to off Algeria. A returning transport arrives from Morocco to East Coast, where a tank & trooper board it. Meanwhile two transports off Morocco picks up three troopers, &, gun and lands them in undefended occupied Tunisia. While a trooper & fighter from Morocco attacks, &, defeats defending It. trooper in occupied Algeria(fighter lands in Tunisia).

      Another transport lands a lone trooper onto British E. Africa.

      For less than a round Italy controlled all of North Africa, submarine off Morocco goes to off Tunisia.

      Round Six: A.H. Empire builds C, gun, &, 6 troopers. Troopers from Albania & Serbia, move to Bulgaria & Greece to help Ottoman Empire garrison them. From Galacia a trooper & gun move to Romania to help garrison it, from capital 2 troopers move to Galacia. Also from the capital 2 troopers, gun, &, tank are on the way to help the Italians defend Piedmont. Finally trooper & gun move to Albania from Trieste. While a fighter flies from capital to Trieste, another fighter flies from Venice to join Italian forces in Piedmont.

      The Empire is taking the chance Russia will to be too busy with Ge. forces in their country, helping the Ottomans to garrison so it does not become to tempting for the Allies to take, much less help Italy from an French invasion. Anything to keep the Allies from thier borders, but, for the Western Front, combat must be taken. Four troopers & 2 guns, from Munich enter Allied control Alsace(defended by Brits. trooper & gun, and, Fr. Trooper & 2 guns). Losses Axis 3 troopers, &, Allies only have a Fr. trooper left, Alsace is contested. Hopefully this will buy Germany some time on the Western Front.

      Finally sub. leaves home port and attacks Allied fleet in Western Mediterranean Sea(no lost to mines), sinks a Fr. Sub, but, itself is lost.

      Russian Empire builds gun & 4 troopers. The Russians want overwhelming force before they get rid of the Germans, right now ignore the main body of Germans, &, work through the Axis flanks. From Uk. to Sevastopol 2 troopers move there, capital to Uk. 3 troopers, &, from capital to Livonia 3 troopers.

      Battle in Livonia 4 troopers & gun, versus, Ge. 2 troopers. Losses a trooper, &, Axis all, Livonia is freed! From Sevastopol a trooper & gun joins British forces in Mesopotamia, versus, Ottoman trooper & gun. Losses the Ottoman lose a gun.

      Ge. builds fighter, gun, &, 6 troopers. Moves trooper from Prussia to Poland, while the Moscow army contesting the Russian capital, retreats 5 troopers and 2 guns to Belarus. Leaving behind a trooper, and, the goal of garrisoning Poland(easier to defend than Prussia & Silesia).

      Two troopers & gun from capital reinforce trooper in contested Kiel, &, for no lost take out British trooper & 2 guns. Meanwhile from capital, two troopers move to Prussia, &, 3 troopers move to Hanover. While 2 troopers & a gun move from Hanover to Munich.

      Germany needs to build up her defense, as there will be no more help from Italy, &, only so much from the A.H. Empire.

      France builds submarine, 2 fighters, gun, &, 4 troopers. Transport moves from off Wales to off East Coast, while another goes from Portugal to Marceilles. Another transport with 2 Canadian Troopers leaves Canada, &, arrives off Picardy. Trooper moves from Cameron to Belgium Congo.

      Six troopers, gun, & tank leave Burgundy to Lorraine. While 5 troopers & gun leave the capital, &, move to Burgundy. Meanwhile forces in Marceilles of 5 Troopers, 2 guns, &, fighter enter Piedmont, versus, It. 2 troopers, 2 guns, and, AH fighter. Losses both fighters lost in air duel, Fr. 2 troopers, &, It. a trooper. Piedmont is contested. For France keep Italy & AH Empire busy in N. Italy, while making inroads into German proper.

      British Empire builds in India trooper, gun, &, fighter, and, for U.K. fighter, tank, &, 3 troopers. Trooper in contested Fr. Eq. Africa takes out invading Ge. trooper. Transport off India brings 2 troopers, &, fighter flies in to reinforce trooper in contested Mesopotamia, versus, Ottoman trooper. Losses only Axis trooper. Mesopotamia falls again!

      From Belgium and Lorraine 4 troopers & 2 guns enter contested Alsace defended by Fr. Trooper against A.H. Empire forces of trooper & 2 guns(who are trying to retake it for Germany). Losses 3 troopers & all Axis. Alsace is saved for the Allies.

      Hi, the above game ends this sequence of Round Robin, on top of page 12 you can see who won(basically the winner, no notice of say who has a minor/medium type victory).

      The next two sets of R.R. are only 2 games each, &, are explained on page 12 also.

      But first a quick dissertation of the powers involved: Austro-Hungarian(& a chunk of what would be Yugoslavian) Empire. Starts out with a high IPC value, &, loaded with troops & guns. For defense if her navy stays in port, much less adds a ship per turn, it is hard to make any sea landings. Italy even with the Allies help would still find in hard to break into Trieste. Also Vienna is not far from the borders of the empire.

      Why hunker down her naval & armed forces on the Southern Front?, it can participate in a gamble with a other Axis power upon Russia(usually Germany). In regards to Turkey they have to send forces, for an attack for Egypt.

      Germany is the heavyweight of the Axis Powers, with a larger land forces of the above, but, also has a large navy. Of course Russia is the best bet to take out first, but, France always seems to be too big a temptation for the Germans. As long as she keeps the land & air units moving into Lorraine, Paris is a possibility! Unfortunately getting involved in sea dominance battles, has a tendency to keep that flow of units going towards Paris endangered.

      Ottomans is the weak sister of the Axis Triad. Works best with AHE, as both empires can actually link up, and, help each other out physically. The only empire that in turn one, can be invaded by British on western & eastern portions of the empire, at the same time!

      Russia constantly the attention of Axis powers, even when assaulted by two like AHE & GE., three conditions has save them, time and time again. One hunker down in the capital, while building up your land units with plenty of cheap troopers(fighters to keep that gun advantage, &, subs. to help your Home Fleet stop any sea landings), two trade territories for time but keep an trooper in each province to avoid a uncontested conquest, and, three the lack of an unified command structure makes the Axis attack piecemeal.

      A few times Moscow has had one of the greatest concentration of Axis and Allies land and air units of the whole game. AHE goes first and kicks the door into Moscow, looses are heavy, but, GE. should finish the job. Russia goes cannot replace all her losses on her turn, but, gets allot of troopers to fill in the ranks. GE. goes and the same happens when AHE had gone before. If the Axis had a unified command setup, even for one turn, Moscow would have fallen.

      France always with the Allied armies on the Western Front to help her survive, or, rare times helping Italy from getting overrun by AHE. Still force to build up her forces, until the long awaited counterattack to drive the Germans back into Germany. Here the Allies could use a unified field command option. The first Allied power(sans Russia) to start taking over German colonies, &, after Britain that has a large navy(with those ever so important three transports). France is the glue that holds the Allied cause together.

      Great Britain has a large land forces, but, always are located the farthest of where you need them(for example need them in France or Scotland, but, they are located in Canada). Great if you need troops for supporting Italy, but, still having them in India takes a while for them to arrive. Oh well that problem bedevil the British even in W.W.II.

      Again and again, the fleet saves the day from German Navy breaking out of the North Sea. Those transports send the forces, that help France/Italy from collapsing.

      Italy has the lowest IPCs of any of the Allies, but, yet has a decent land forces and navy at game start. Time and again, playing these variations, her land forces have helped France from being overrun by Germany. As for an invasion by AHE, sea powers like Britain and U.S. start those transport runs, that bring those badly needed reinforcements.

      U.S.A. has a IPC level higher than Italy or Ottoman Empire, but, has the lowest land forces setup available at start of the game. It would take several rounds just to purchase the equal of land forces that has Italy/Ottoman forces. Much less the transports to move them there, &, naval escorts for them.

      The U.S. truly becomes the arsenal of democracy, naval units to help the Brits. win the Battle of the Atlantic, units to help the French & Italians in Europe, keeping the Axis navy in Med. Sea penned up, taking out GE. colonies in Africa, transporting the Allies where needed, &, so forth. In some scenarios the Axis sue for Peace cause U.S. forces have finally arrived, they cannot compensate for the American forces.

      The next set of Round robin is only two games. All Axis versus all Allies, with no minor allies for both sides. Since the Axis powers usually start the game with the most forces, they the Axis will not be on the defensive, just hunkering down inside their empires. All three will try to take out an Allied capital, eliminating London & Washington, as these require constant naval battles. The first game will be taking out Moscow, as all three Axis powers border Russia, the second game will be Rome as being the weakest Allied power on mainline Europe.

      British & French & Italian Empires & U.S.A., versus, AH & German Empires. Here the Axis can aim for one/two Allied capitals at the same time(Paris and Rome), while U.S. & British Empire need to send land forces to help the Fr. & It.(using there most valuable asset the transport). Also control the seas, especially any W.W.I Sea Lion plans Germany may have, which normally leads to a Jutland type sea battle.

      The Axis learned that Italy is not the soft underbelly of Europe, perhaps AHE can cut across Northern Italy to attack France from the south. Here it might lead to the AHE navy to be the aggressor, in this game variation.

      Round One: AHE builds 2 BBs, to get Fr. & It. in some sort of naval arms race. After all It. & Fr. has 2 provinces that are manned by one trooper, both nations have also undefended islands, much less weakly defended colonies. If the AHE navy breaks out, with its transport(s), definitely could be allot of trouble, for the Allies.

      On land taking Venice & Piedmont(forget about Rome) is the half way point for a link up with Germany in France. GE. needs to take Lorraine & Burgundy, after that if the Axis can hold their linkup, Paris is next. Moves all land forces towards Venice, after all Russia and the Balkans are neutral, and, to the west Germany is an ally.

      Garrisons from Tryolia & Trieste enter Venice, 12 troopers & 4 guns, versus, It. 6 troopers & 2 guns. Losses Axis 4 troopers & Allies all, Venice has fallen! AHE fleet is so large now, that a attack from Italy or Fr. would probably only damage the BBs(much less if they survive the mine filed).

      GE. builds fighter, transport, BB, &, C. Moving all land forces to France(fighter flies from capital to Munich), leaving coastal areas secured(in case of any allies landings). Again Russia is no threat, &, to the east is its ally AHE. Lorraine is invaded from Alsace, 7 troopers & 3 guns, versus, defending Fr. 6 troopers & 2 guns. Losses Axis 2 troopers & Allies 3 troopers, Lorraine is contested!

      In Africa troopers from Kamerun & Togoland take undefended British Gold Coast & Nigeria. Trooper & gun from S.W. Africa enters Union of S. Africa & contest it, defended by Brits. trooper & gun(both sides lose a gun). Trooper from GE. E. Africa invades Rhodesia and defeats defending British trooper, colony falls!

      At sea with no mine lost, from Kiel BB & 2 C, &, from Sea Zone #5 two subs., &, from S.Z.# 7(going through two sets of minefields) two sub. arrive off London. Versus British Empire BB, 2 C, &, transport, losses Axis damaged BB and 2 subs., &, Allies all.

      Now four sets of Allies go, France builds sub.(at Brest), gun, &, 4 troopers. Burgundy garrison reinforces Italians in Piedmont, while Picardy garrison (sans trooper & 2 guns) joins forces in Lorraine. Here 9 troopers, 4 guns, &, fighter from capital, versus, GE. 5 troopers & 3 guns. Losses Allies 6 troopers & Axis all, Lorraine is freed! Paris & Bordeaux garrison move to Burgundy, &, Brest trooper moves to Paris.

      In Africa, trooper from Fr. W. Africa enters Gold Coast, versus, defending GE. trooper(both are lost). Algerian trooper moves to Morocco, while trooper from later moves to Fr. W. Africa. Transport off Marseilles picks up trooper from Tunisia and debarks S. France.

      Also BB & C & 2 transports off S. France, joins It. navy off in Central Med. Sea. Off Brest BB & transport leave & station themselves off Picardy.

      British Empire builds fighter, transport, BB, & submarine(transport off Wales). Repositioning of land forces on islands, in case of Axis landings, &, 2 troopers from Wales board a Fr. transport. Also from Canada C & transport arrive off Scotland & debark trooper & gun.

      In Africa trooper from B.E. Africa enters & takes undefended GE. East Africa. Trooper in Union of S.A. attacks invading trooper(both lost), colony still contested. From Sudan a trooper enter Fr. Eq. Africa, while a transport from Egypt lands in Piedmont 2 troopers. Also from Egypt 3 troopers & gun board Fr. 2 transports.

      From India transport arrives off East Africa with trooper & gun, while BB & C head for Allied fleet off Rome.

      Italy builds fighter, &, 2 troopers. Trooper from Somalia enters British E. Africa, while Roman garrison enters Tuscany. Also Naples trooper enters Rome, &, transport carries trooper & gun to Tuscany from Libya.

      U.S.A. builds fighter & 2 transports. From East Coast BB heads for Italy , &, C for Wales.

      Round Two: AHE builds 2 trooper, gun, 2 fighters, &, submarine. Moves Venice garrison to Piedmont(even though Tuscany looks like a better choice). Also reinforce Venice with forces from southern AHE. The need to take Piedmont, or, contest it is more important than Tuscany.

      Round Three: AHE builds BB, sub., transport, &, trooper. Land forces still heading for southern part of empire, to attack northern Italy.

      Fighters fly in from capital, to Trieste, &, Venice. Tuscany looks tempting, if the link up with GE. fails to take Paris, then a possibility of a southern thrust to Rome may take place. Venice garrison moves to Piedmont, AHE 17 troopers & 5 guns versus Fr. trooper & 2 guns(Italians volunteering abandon their province, in order to help the Fr. in Burgundy). Losses Axis 2 troopers & Allies all, Piedmont has fallen! Earlier Tyrolia garrison moved into Venice.

Fighter flies from Berlin to seaport of Kiel, while garrison goes from Alsace into Lorraine, &, while more land forces from Southern Germany arrive into Alsace. Battle 21 troopers & 13 guns(with a fighter from Munich), versus, Fr. trooper in Lorraine. Losses a trooper each side, Lorraine falls!

      Fr. builds 2 guns & 5 troopers, moves Paris garrison into Burgundy. BB joins Allied fleet off Rome, &, 2 transports heads for East Coast. In Africa trooper takes Togoland from Gold Coast(it was undefended), &, another trooper enters Gold Coast from Fr. W. Africa.

      British Empire builds fighter, 2 troopers, transport, &, BB. Transport off S. France heads for India, to Piccard 2 troopers & 2 guns. BB off Rome heads for London, replaced by C from Egypt. In Africa trooper from Union of South Africa takes undefended GE. S. Africa, while trooper from Rhodesia enters Union of South Africa. Also another trooper enters & takes Kamerun entering through Fr.       Round Four: AHE builds, fighter, tank, trooper, gun, &, Cruiser. Trooper from capital moves to Tyrolia, &, fighter from Trieste moves to Venice. Piedmont garrison enters Burgundy with a fighter from Venice(while Venice garrison enter Piedmont, &, Tyrolia garrison enters Venice). Battle fighter, 6 guns, &, 15 troopers, versus, It. 5 troopers and 3 guns, Fr. fighter and 21 troopers and 5 guns, one British fighter. Losses in air duel Allies(British) & Axis lose a fighter. The GE. fleet is too large for even the Brits. to enter its Home waters, but, it is not overwhelming itself, to take out the combine Allies fleet off London.

      There is only one way to find out, in air duel GE. fighter takes out both defending Brits. fighters for no lost. Entering Brits. Battle in contested Venice, fighter flies in from capital(while fighter already in Venice will not take part in this battle). Fighter, 6 troopers, tank, &, 4 guns, versus, It. 2 troopers & 2 guns & U.S. gun. Losses Axis 5 troopers(reduce to four because of tank), &, Allies only It. trooper left. Venice still contested.

      AHE fleet leaves port, into It. Home Waters, trying to mimic the success of the GE. fleet, in the North Sea. Fighter from Venice has air duel with It. fighter from Rome, Axis fighter wins. Two BBs(one damaged by mines), C, 2 subs., transport, &, fighter, versus, Allies U.S.N. BB, C, 2 transports, and, Fr. BB & 2 transports, &, It. BB. Battle Axis all lost, &, Allies lost but except a Fr. transport. AHE did not win, but, not much of a victory for the Allies either.

      GE. builds 2 subs., transport, fighter, gun, &, trooper. In Burgundy the trapped cut off forces, will not take the contested province, much less Paris. The forces will retreat instead into Allied occupied Lorraine, &, hopefully link up with forces coming down from Alsace.       From Piedmont 2 troopers go to Venice to reinforce U.S. forces there, 3 troopers, 2 guns, &, tank, versus, Axis forces of AHE trooper, 2 guns, tank, &, 2 fighters, and, GE. trooper. Losses Allies U.S. all but tank, &, Axis GE. trooper(tank absorbed a hit) &, 2 guns.

      Cruiser off S. France & transport off Piedmont, enters AHE Waters(no mine lost), versus, damaged BB, sub., transport, & 2 fighters(in Venice). Losses U.S. all & AHE fighter & submarine. BB joins British fleet off London.

      Peace breaks out, after 8 rounds, the Axis powers find themselves barley holding onto Venice, Lorraine, &, Scotland. True they might get in a better situation if there was a Round Nine naval wise, but, that seems pretty hard in the North Atlantic(more evenly match in the Med. Sea). Even still both empires have long since used up their original land forces, for the GE. it takes rounds for forces to reach France. For the Allies to invade the Axis, especially if the latter buy lots of cheap infantry for defense, would take a long time to get to Berlin/Vienna(also the Allies need to have complete sea dominance, for any sea landings).

      This game goes over from a tie to a most minor of Allies victory. To leave contested Scotland, Lorraine, &, Venice, Germany gets back three colonies. The fourth one goes to the Allies.

      Next British & Russian & Italian Empires & U.S.A., versus, AH & German Empires. Russia is the Axis goal, hold in the south and control the North Sea. It is hard for any direct U. S. aid, British Empire needs complete naval control of the North Sea, &, Italian forces even with Allied help, will find it hard to break into Southern AHE.

      Round One: A.H.E. builds manpower, to protect its coast from landing, and, any push into the southern empire(naval takes a back seat). Finally fighters, guns, &, troopers for the big push into Moscow. Builds 4 troopers, fighter, &, submarine. Moves land forces to Galicia & reinforces Trieste & Tyrolia, the latter to protect from Allied southern incursions, into the empire.

      Russia builds fighter, sub., 4 troopers. Keeping a trooper in Karelia, moves forces into Belarus & Uk.(leaving a trooper in Poland). Russian will trade territory, &, avoid combat, to build up her land forces.

      Germany builds transport, sub.(naval units off Berlin), 2 fighters, &, 3 troopers. Moves troopers from Togoland, &, Kamerun to take undefended British Nigeria & Gold coast. From Sea Zone #7 two subs. go off Canada, &, attack Canadian transport & Cruiser. For a lost of a sub., Canadian fleet wiped out. Also 2 subs. from Sea Zone #5, leave and one goes to off Kiel, &, another to off Berlin.

      In Germany, except for forces to protect the coastline, &, 6 troopers from Munich garrison crossing over into AHE to help protect Tyrolia, land forces head for Russia.       British Empire builds 2 transport(off Wales), 2 fighters, &, submarine(off London). Transport & C go from Egypt to debark trooper & gun onto Tuscany, while C from India arrives off Egypt. BB & transport from India head for West Africa. Troopers from Rhodesia & East Africa enter GE. E. Africa, take out defending trooper, for no lost, colony falls! Meanwhile Sudan trooper heads for Egypt, while trooper & gun invade GE. S. W. Africa from S. Africa, versus, GE. trooper & gun. Losses Brits. a gun, &, GE. all(colony falls!).

      From off London transport picks up trooper & gun, &, heads for Italy. Adjust land forces in home islands, in case of Axis landings. Off London Brit Home Fleet enters GE. Home Waters. BB(damaged by mines) & 2 C, versus, GE. BB, 2 C, & submarine(losses all ships both sides are lost).

      Italy builds fighter & 2 troopers. Land forces head for Venice, while trooper in E. Africa heads for Libya. Meanwhile transport off Rome, picks up trooper & gun, &, heads for West Africa.

      U.S.A. builds fighter & 2 transports. BB off East Coast goes to off Canada, sinks GE. submarine for no lost. Also C from E. Coast heads for Italy.

      Round Two: AHE builds sub., fighter, &, 4 troopers. Forces have concentrated into one large army group in Galicia, with a fighter flying in from the capital. This large force should steamroll its way into Moscow, while the Germans have already taken Poland. Leaving Bohemia, Vienna, &, Budapest denude of any land & air forces. Also Trieste(receiving a trooper from the capital) & Tryolia(with 6 GE. troopers there to help), to hold the southern line.

      Russia is trying to defend for now, if they faced only one empire, it would welcome a attack in Uk. by AHE, &, counterattacked with forces from Belarus. The problem with both Axis powers heading for Moscow, defense is the best play for now, even with the risk of letting AHE build up their forces in Galicia.

      Russia builds fighter, &, 6 troopers. Moves forces out of Uk. & Belarus(sans a trooper) and Tatarstan, &, moves then back to capital.
      BB & sub., enter GE. Home Waters off Berlin(no mine lost), versus, 2 subs. & transport. Losses Axis all. Allies rule the Atlantic Ocean!

      GE. is force to rebuild its navy, does not want any British troops landing in Russia, much less Germany. Builds BB & C off Berlin & also Kiel, garrison in Poland with fighter takes Belarus(defended by Russian trooper, taken out for no lost). Also more land forces heading for Moscow, with fighter from capital flying to Poland, &, another flying to Kiel. Both troopers in Africa move to Togoland, &, hunker down.

      British builds 2 BBs, &, a fighter. From off London sub. enters GE. Home waters off Kiel(no mine lost), along with 2 fighters from London. Both fighters in air duel with GE. fighter defending Kiel(one lost each side). Now fighter & sub., versus, GE. BB & C. Losses Allies all & GE. losses C & damaged to the BB. Two transports reach Canada & board 2 troopers & 2 guns. Another transport leaves SZ #7, &, moves to off Marseilles with a trooper & gun.

      Another transport leaves off Tuscany & picks up from Egypt 2 troopers, &, they debark onto Tuscany. While from Tuscany a trooper & gun enter Venice. Both troopers in GE. E. Africa, head for Egypt, while BB & transport land into undefended Kamerun a trooper & gun, colony taken!

      Italy builds gun, &, 4 troopers. Roman garrison finally reaches Venice. BB & C enters AHE Home Waters(no mine lost), also with fighter from capital, versus, AHE BB, C, 2 subs., &, transport. Losses all for Italy(the fighter survive first round of battle & landed in Venice), &, only the damaged AHE BB left.

      Transport arrives off Togoland, &, lands trooper & gun, versus, defending 2 GE. trooper, all lost, colony still contested.

      U.S.A. builds transport, sub., &, gun and 2 troopers. BB off Canada goes to London, C arrives in AHE Home waters(no mine lost), versus, damaged AHE BB(both lost). AHE needs to build a new fleet. Two transports leave East Coast for Italy with 3 troopers & gun, fighter flies to Ireland.

      Round Three: AHE builds fighter, sub., BB, &, gun. From capital fighter flies to Uk., &, 3 troopers move into Galicia. Moves its Grand Army into Uk. from Galicia, disposal of Russian defending trooper for a lost of a trooper, Uk. captured!

      Russia builds 8 troopers. All land & air forces are in Moscow, except a trooper guarding Livonia & Karelia, with Poland & Uk. lost, &, all other provinces are undefended. Fleet of BB & sub. still off Berlin, retreats to Home Waters.

      GE. builds fighter, trooper, gun, BB(off Kiel), &, 2 submarines(off Berlin). Moves more land forces into Belarus, reinforces coastal provinces, leaves 5 troopers in Munich(in case they need to go to Russia or AHE southern front). Also a C goes from Berlin to Kiel.

      Italy builds sub., trooper & gun. Transport off Togoland heads for East Coast. Rome garrison moves to Tuscany, &, Tuscany garrison moves to Venice. Meanwhile Venice garrison invades Trieste, with the hope of reliving the pressure on the Russians, &, remaining Allied forces(including Brits.) in Venice to detour any move into Italy. Fighter, 19 troopers, &, 6 guns, versus, AHE 8 troopers & 3 guns. Losses Allies 6 troopers, &, Axis wiped out. Trieste has fallen!

      U.S.A. builds C, &, transport. BB joins British fleet off Kiel, no mine damage, while fighter lands in Scotland. Two transports land 3 troopers & gun into Piedmont. Sub. & transport(with trooper & gun) leaves East Coast for Italy.

      Turn Four: AHE builds no naval units, its coastal port has been captured, builds fighter, tank, &, 4 trooper, &, gun. …Three troopers from Galicia enters Ukraine. Moves Grand Army into Moscow from Uk., 2 fighters dog fight 2 Russian fighters, losses Axis a fighter & Allies all. AHE Fighter, 37 troopers, &, 6 guns, versus, Russian 50 troopers, &, 13 guns. Losses AHE 29 troopers, &, Russian 15 troopers. Moscow is contested, but, AHE Grand Army is no longer so Grand.

      Vienna & Tyrolia garrisons attempt to liberate Trieste(leaving GE. 6 troopers to guard Tyrolia). Fighter, 9 troopers, &, 4 guns, versus, Italian fighter, 13 troopers, &, 6 guns. In air duel, Axis fighter lost. Losses Axis 8 troopers, &, Allies 8 troopers, Trieste is contested.

      Fleet leaves Home Waters(if it returned it would have to face its own mines), goes into Italian Home waters, Bb damaged by mines. BB(damaged) & sub., versus, It. sub. & Brits. 2 C & transport. Only one British C survives.

      All builds are needed to save the southern part of the Empire, the forces in Russia cannot take Moscow, it is up to GE. to save the situation.

      Russia can destroy or take out most of the AHE forces in Moscow, but, still hunker down. She needs her forces intact, cause of the impending GE. attack. Builds 5 troopers.

      GE. builds Cruiser(off Berlin), fighter, tank, 2 guns, &, 3 troopers. Berlin Garrison goes to Hanover(heading for AHE), &, Munich Garrison enters Tryolia, &, Polish Garrison enters Belarus. Also garrison in Belarus enters Moscow(no time for more reinforcements), 2 fighters, 30 troopers, &, 9 guns, versus, Russian 40 troopers & 13 guns. Losses Axis 20 troopers, &, Allies 12 troopers.

      In Trieste 6 troopers from Tryolia attempt to help AHE forces, versus, Italian 3 troopers and 6 guns and fighter. Losses GE. 4 troopers & Italian 2 troopers. Off Berlin to Kiel BB, 2 subs., &, fighter, versus, British 2 damaged BBs, &, a U.S.N. BB. Losses only GE. BB survive.

      British Empire builds BB, C, sub., trooper, &, gun. Moves trooper & gun from Nigeria, enters undefended Togoland, &, colony falls. Also transport off Gold Coast, picks up trooper, &, will head for entrance of Med. Sea. BB off W. Africa moves to off Ireland, &, Cruiser enters waters off Italian occupied Trieste. Also three transports arrive off Trieste & debarks 3 troopers & 3 guns, and, are joined from Venice by 3 troopers & gun, versus, Axis of GE. 2 troopers & AHE 3 troopers & 3 guns. Losses Allies 4 troopers, &, Axis all but one AHE trooper. Also two more troopers move from Tuscany to Venice.

      Off London BB & 2 transports(no mine losses), &, a fighter, go off Kiel, versus, GE. BB. Losses British fighter & GE. BB, with landings in Kiel. BB shelling & defending guns(2), losses a trooper each side. Land battle 2 trooper & gun, versus, defending GE. 2 troopers & 2 guns. Each side losses a trooper, Kiel is contested.

      Italy builds gun, fighter, &, 3 troopers. Transport arrives off East Coast, &, trooper from Somaliland arrives in Libya. Also 3 troopers & gun, enter Venice from Tuscany. Trieste garrison leaves Trieste(there are still Brits. 2 troopers & 4 guns watching the leftover AHE trooper in Trieste), &, enter Vienna. Italy’s fighter wins air duel with AHE fighter, 2 troopers, &, 6 guns, versus, defending AHE 4 troopers, tank, &, gun. Italy losses trooper & 3 guns, &, AHE all(tank also absorbed a hit). Vienna has fallen!

      From Venice 4 troopers enter Tyrolia defended by GE. 5 troopers. This is too hopefully contest that AHE province, so GE. forces cannot go directly to Vienna, or, if the Italians are wiped out, cannot threaten Venice(protected by Brits. 2 troopers and so to arrive U.S. forces). Losses 2 troopers each side, Tyrolia is contested. Most of Italy’s original land units have been destroyed, while a good bulk of GE. forces/Grand Army are still intact, &, a fair share of AHE/not so Grand Army in Moscow.

      U.S.A. builds tank, gun, trooper, &, 2 transports. Fighter flies from Scotland to Kiel, while C & transport(trooper & gun) leaves East Coast for Kiel. Also 2 troopers board It. transport off East Coast.

      Two transports leave Italy for East Coast, &, another transport arrives with sub., that debarks trooper & gun onto Piedmont. Also entering Venice from Piedmont are 3 troopers & gun.

      I will end this game, as usual when a capital falls, it is barley making it to a moderate Allied win. AHE gets back Vienna, Russia gets two Axis armies out of Moscow, Allies leave contested Tryolia, Trieste, &, Kiel, and, Russia gets back Poland, Belarus, &, Ukraine. GE. keeps Togoland and the Allies get the other three colonies(Russia sells her part, &, U.S. makes a new country).

      Afterwards I will play one more round to see if the Axis could have taken Moscow. The bulk of all land forces are on the Eastern Front, Russia has 13 guns, &, 28 troopers. The Axis attack separately, AHE has only 7 troopers & 7 guns with a fighter, not enough to take out Russia, but, maybe enough to weaken it for Germany’s 2 fighters, 21 troopers, &, 15 guns. Also 7 troopers & five guns in Uk., Poland, &, Prussia.

      The Southern Front the Axis have 3 troopers(with also 3 troopers & 2 guns in Hanover) & Allies have 2 fighter, 16 troopers, &, 13 guns(also 3 more troopers on transports, &, 11 troopers & 3 guns in Africa & Asia) .

      The Western Front Axis have 4 guns, 6 troopers, fighter & tank, in Kiel and Berlin, and, the Allies in Kiel trooper, gun, &, fighter. With also the Brits. Home Islands & Canada & East Coast, 16 troopers and 4 guns and a tank.

      The Axis still has a large presence in the East, less in the West, but, most of it is in mainland Europe, &, in the south practically no forces. As for the navy, the Axis have a C waiting to be destroyed, while the Allies have 4 BB, 2 C, 3 submarines, &, 13 mighty transports.

      IPCs lost units, Air: Axis 4 & Allies 5 fighters, Navy: BB 6 and 5, C 5 and 6, Submarine 10 and 2, Transport 2 each side, Tanks one only Axis, Guns 6 and 4, Troopers 86 & 56( actual face value of purchase units: Air Axis 24 & Allies 30, Naval Axis 189 & Allies 138, &, Land Axis 288 & Allies 184).

      The What IF Round #5, cause the Axis did not want to lose,

      Round Five: AHE builds zero units, retreats trooper from Trieste to Budapest, a trooper goes from Uk. into Moscow and another goes back to Galicia, while a third trooper just stays in Uk. Finally battle for Moscow, AHE forces can only hope to weaken Russia, to let GE. finish the job. Eight troopers, 7 guns, &, 1 fighter, versus, Russian 28 troopers & 13 guns. Losses AHE all, &, Russians 9 troopers.

      Russia builds 6 troopers, moves in trooper from Karelia & Livonia, has fleet of BB & sub. enter GE. Home Waters(BB suffers damage), versus, GE. Cruiser. Losses Russian sub. & GE. Cruiser.

      GE. builds fighter, 3 troopers, gun, sub., &, BB. Hanover Garrison crosses over to Bohemia, while the 3 troopers in contested Tyrolia pass on attacking 2 invading Italian troopers(this will help prop up the AHE for a while). Polish Garrison enters Belarus, Prussian Garrison enters Poland, while garrison from capital splits up sending units to Prussia & Kiel.

      In Kiel 2 troopers, 3 guns, tank, &, fighter, versus, U.S. fighter & Bits. trooper & gun. In dogfight Allies win, on land Axis lost absorbed by tank, &, all Allies wiped out. Kiel is freed! Meanwhile in Moscow, 2 fighters, 21 troopers, &, 15 guns, versus, Russian 27 troopers & 13 guns. Losses GE. 20 troopers & a gun, &, Russians 23 troopers.

      British build fighter, tank, 2 guns, &, 2 transports. From Wales 2 troopers go to London. Moves trooper & gun from Togoland to Gold Coast, from Trieste into Budapest 2 troopers & 4 guns, versus, AHE trooper. Losses a trooper each side, Budapest falls! Three transports off Trieste go to Egypt & bring back 4 troopers & a gun, while another transport outside Med. Sea brings a trooper(also C leaves Trieste for Kiel).

      BB off Kiel , &, sub. & C off London, go to off GE. Home Waters off Berlin(no mine lost), versus, GE. BB & sub. Losses British a sub, &, GE. all. Two transports off Kiel go back to British Home Islands & pick up 3 troopers & gun. BB that stayed, off Kiel shells & 3 guns defending fire back, each side losses a trooper. British 2 troopers & gun, versus, on land GE. trooper, tank, &, 3 guns. Land losses Allies trooper & gun, &, Axis 2 guns(tank took a hit), Kiel is contested. Also BB arrives off London.

      Italy builds(with also IPCs that were in Vienna when it was captured)fighter, C, sub., gun, &, 7 troopers. Fighter flies from Rome to Vienna, also 3 troopers & gun go into Tuscany from Rome. From Venice garrison reinforces units in Tryolia, 6 troopers & gun, versus, GE. 3 troopers. Losses It. a trooper & GE. all, Tryolia falls! Transport leaves East Coast with U.S. 2 troopers for Kiel.

      U.S.A. builds transport, &, 4 troopers. Two transports leave for Kiel with 2 troopers, tank, &, gun. Also 2 transports arrive East Coast, &, another transport(trooper & gun) & escorting C arrive off London. Along with sub. off Rome heading for London, &, transport off Rome heading for India. From Venice 3 troopers & gun enter Tyrolia.

      Here I will leave this setup, could another round, GE. finally take Moscow, much less get Vienna back. To do the former is possible, 2 fighters, 17 guns, & 2 troopers, versus, Russian 13 guns, &, 10 troopers(six are new builds). Also to do the latter using units from Poland & Bohemia 6 troopers & 4 guns, versus, It. trooper, 3 guns, &, 2 fighters in Vienna. Even if GE. got Vienna back, would it last the round from British, Italian, &, U.S. counterattacks, all looking to claim Vienna. Would GE. declare peace, to get a better deal, who knows, there is no six round(I will never tell).
