- This round robin starts with the USA, here I try to play the scenarios that the USA might win,
Round Robin USA Versus Germany, etc.
Here King & Queen are truly defense in this scenario, as an entire ocean separates the two powers. Given only a few rounds to let each side build up its navy for a Jutland type sea battle, here even if the Germans just barely squeak by with a naval victory, just a few transports left may not mean a winning invasion of the US East Coast.
Much less if you do not have follow up transports with additional land forces on its way(of course the dice rolls may lead for a blowout for Germany, and, Germany wins with a sole trooper or two left, but, do not count on it).
Again this could still lead to a military victory for Germany, even if the US fleet was not built up, or, went on a tour letting the Germany Navy chase it into the Pacific. The US could just instead build up its combine arms on the mainland(here a large air force could really harm any German fleet approaching the US East Coast). Any US counterattack would probably drive the Germans into the sea the first time. Eventually with 75% more income(US 20 & Germany 35) and enough rounds Germany could land so many troops, much less with follow up forces to assure a victory. Again so many rounds would pass, it would be in time for WWII to start. All you need is one German trooper to survive, thus not letting the US get twenty to buy more land units for the next round.
Of course the US could just build up some naval forces, along with land forces, but, Germany would still probably win.
Finally if the Germans stand down their navy and let US forces land early on the game into Germany, the Kaiser could do what he threaten to do to the British Army, just arrest them when they land. Fortress Germany is not a place for US forces to land into, not even landing in AH(Austria-Hungary is overflowing with troops, so USA versus just AH would probably lead to defeat for the USA, as AH has an edge in income).
Now with any version of US versus any two CP(Central Powers), the economics of US versus Germany & AH(probably least rounds to be played), US versus Germany & Turkey(probably more rounds to be played), US versus AH & Turkey(somewhat in the middle). Here would be overwhelming income(20 USA income versus 61/51/42). Much less USA versus all of the Central Powers(20 USA versus 77, now that would be a quick game).
Is there any scenario?, where even USA could win even a political victory(if you are not willing to play countless rounds for a full military victory), yes, U.S.A. versus Turkey, Round One…

Axis & Allies 1914: Round Robinposted in Axis & Allies Discussion & Older Games
Next for Scenerio Two, majority of Combatants will be Cruisers, with an air and a land unit, for a symbolic combine arms. All other air and land units value will be converted into Cruisers.
Round One:
Red consolidate forces for a attack on Blue Main Base, builds two 2 more C, while another C picks up trooper. 2 C lost attacking Blue Base, but, takes out 2 Blue C.
Blue places C with trooper, builds up Blue Base with three more C, while 2 C take out 2 Black C at a 1 VP island base( while losing those same Blue Cs).

RE: Was the 1914 game the last of the series of Axis and Allies type games?posted in Axis & Allies Discussion & Older Games
@barnee Tutledove is a treasure trove for an Alien Invasion during Spring 1942 Axis & Allies Universe. Perhaps a Larry and Turtledove Kickstarter Game.
Or u can wait for another exciting WOTC Axis & Allies 🧟♀️ 1914 Zombie Game. Thanks, Pellulo

Was the 1914 game the last of the series of Axis and Allies type games?posted in Axis & Allies Discussion & Older Games
It has been going on a decade now, since the 1914 game came out, was it officially the last in the Axis and Allies universe?
I know Larry is into his new game version of War Room type series, as a independent maker of that game(a Napoleonic version of it is coming out?).
Even still would Wizards of the Coast make a second edition of the 1914 game, with a new mini or two. If not, then upgrade the minis to show more of a difference of for example the tanks, both sides made and use(yes I know the Germans used mostly captured British Mark IV tanks, as their AV-7 series type tanks were a dud).
If not a add on game for the WWI series, a Verdun Type game, or, Sea Battle of Jutland, or, minis for W.W.1 era.
Finally I do not count the Zombie Axis and Allies game, great for collection purposes. Gee, I could add Zombies to Cutes and Ladders, does not necessarily make it a brand new Exciting game experience.
I admit, I posted allot for a Sci-Fi 1914 game, tied in with H.G. Wells War of the Worlds theme type games. If you could find the old Harris Game Design, I wrote about it there, especially tied into the 1942 game or modern times.

RE: Any new rules? any big changes to how the game is played?posted in Axis & Allies 1914
I am sure when the Second Edition comes out, many of these concerns will be dealt with, especially with a more streamlined and clearer rule book.
If not by Avalon Hill, then maybe Eagle Games. They did a good job, with Conquest of the Empire( I basically stuck with the old set of rules), and, Shogun(kept most of the old rules).
Along with any new minis/collectable minis.
As for a new follow up game, for example like Jutland, or, Lawerence’s adventures in the Mid-East , is pure speculation.
My best bet would be a tie in game like Axis & Allies 1915 and The War of the Worlds(H.G. Wells Novel could be given as a treat inside the game box).
Alas any reissued game would probably have those DAMX Zombie theme to it, thanks, Pellulo
PS I would never ever RoundRobin the latter.

Is it possible some major threads of various subject maters can be copied and reposted on this site, or is that too much of a copyright problem for Larry and the A&A Org. people?, Thanks Pellulo
