@pacifiersboard Well your luck with the dice is simply horrible. I think it’s 5-0 going my way now. Many of the battles were not in your favor but nevertheless the outcome was heavily in my favor. The attack on the German bombers of course taking the prize. 100% luck on my part, playing stupidly…

@gamerman01 No I understand completely! It’s important to put your thoughts “on paper” after such a big/important battle! Like when I almost lost Japan versus Pacifiersboard the other week!

Btw can’t see the combat hit differentials on UK3, but Axis hit your BB, killed one inf and then I think above average in SZ97 too!

@gamerman01 maybe ridiculous to ask, but casualties in Belarus? Two hits, you have 2inf + AAA. I attack with 3 inf + art.

Yes I think this section, page 32 in the EU rulebook, explains it:

Unit Characteristics
No Combat Value: Even though a transport can attack
or defend, either alone or with other units, it has a
combat value of 0. This means that a transport can’t fire
in the attacking units’ or the defending units’ fire steps.
Transports may not attack without being accompanied
by at least 1 unit with an attack value, unless they are
conducting an amphibious assault from a friendly sea
zone that is free of enemy submarines

@gamerman01 That happens, especially mid-game playing the Allies.

@naviator Yeah that edit with the NI battle was super shady and would not be allowed normally but in these circumstances I don’t mind. Mostly because you chose to not take the AA as casualty first round which meant less dice for me 2nd round. On the other hand your attack dice were bad and my defense dice good.

A much deserved win for Farmboy against Pejon_88 in the quarter finals.

@farmboy I’m glad to hear I made you sweat at times and that you played at your highest level. That’s something in itself for me being the less experienced player with most likely a lot less games under my belt. You definitely made the right choices and really played all nations as one. In the Pac of course but also with China and Soviet. Nicely done! Really stupid of me not thinking it through when going to Java. I should’ve at least decided beforehand that I would go for India no matter what but only calculated the odds without considering what your best counter would be. That made me have to buy 16 inf to avoid losing Tokyo and in the subsequent rounds you instead took the islands.

I’m happy with my choice and don’t see a way back here. Japan will only become weaker and weaker. With no targets in sight and you pushing me out of Burma + no money islands I’m doomed. Also in connection with a strong ME and Moscow. I wish I had this EU set-up but with a stronger Japan, then it would’ve been a close game.

All in all, I had two opportunities at India with about 100% and good TUV, but positioned myself badly which Farmboy took the most out of especially since I didn’t follow through.

@gamerman01 sure makes sense. I think I got the IPC since I edited before collect income, but I can double check during J9 unless you do it before USSR9
