      Hi,

      I am simulating my G4 move and besides others I am attacking Norway to liberate it from the UK-Paratrooper by using 3 inf + 1 bomber.
      The very first round your paratroop defends with a pre-shot at “1”
      The Paratroop hit the “1” and now I have to select a casuality without firing a shot.

      According to the rules a paratrop defends at “3” the first round, but no pre-shot like in below example.

      If not, how should I proceed?

      Che cazzo! - I was sweating after the first round in Egypt, were the British hit 7 out of 9! But all good at the end. :-) Egypt is liberated and people can enjoy good italian food now rather than the British junk food. :D

      I used the LVC in Syria and tried to move them via Edit through SZ98 into Egypt, but TripleA wouldn´t allowe it. So I moved them through Trans-Jordan into Egypt. While doing that Trans-Jordan was conquered by Italy. I changed the ownership back to UK.

      Nice move with the paratroops! I need to keep an eye on these as well in the future. Oh boy, who would have thought that a world war can become stressfull…

      It seems the hits per round are showing again in the turn summary.

      I just figured that the battle reoorts look different than the once for normal G40 or any other game. I am missing the number of hits for each battle round and the average hits per round. But thats not important and no need to fix.
      I will take a look at the game after my coffee and I will go through your notes regarding player enforced movements etc.

      Syria was quit a gamble - you had ~10% chance of winning.

      Good morning. I agree , Moscow and Russia is lost. I think if the German army can hold the Allies fleet and troops out of Europe, Russia is doomed.

      Great game again!

      Defending Moscow will be the key for winning the game as Allied. Not sure how to do that, but I am eager to try it in our next game.

      I will read me into how to use the dice bot. Haven´t done this before. Not doing so hasn´t affected our game yet, but it surely will become important to use these advantages.

      And yes, the Spitfires and the Messerschmitts just can´t hold it back. :-)

      it seems that this lost little battle in Archangel broke the Russians neck , just like the game before in Beloruisa.
      This may be the only major “problem” of AA50 - one time bad dice for such small battles and it opens the door for the (final) shot!

      Sir,

      I need your scramble orders in SZ 110.

      Furthermore I reduced my IPCs from 66 to 65 and placed the 1 SS-Waffen-Infantery from my wrong purchase from round 2.
      I will do the same with the SS-Oberst once I will be able to place him.

      I also purchased an engineer, althoug I couldn´t find them in the rule book. Only the Combat Engineers are mentioned somewhere. I assume the regular Engineers have the same abilities, but less movement. In case the engineers are not available yet, I will replace it by a tank.

      Very cool game so far and the new options and strategies that comes with the new units are amazing! I realy like it!
      Also I am getting more and more used to the new unit-icons and they bring the game to a complete new level!

      As mentioned we used to play as we are proceeding in our game - if Japan declares war on UK/ANZAC, the US can declare war on Japan in the same round. Issue is the unclear definition of “turn” - is this meant to be round or turn in the meaning of each nations turn per round.
      Anyway, I was expecting that the US will declare war and attack right on, as we used to play it in our gaming group.

      For future this scenarion can be more clearly defined in the wording. Furthermore I would suggest that in our scenario, the US cannot attack in the same round as Japan declared war on UK/ANZAC, but gets in war mode at the end of the round by collecting the bonus income for beeing at war and that the minor ICs are promoted to major IC. Just like TripleA does when Japan (or Germany or Italy) does not declare war on the US (or Japan in addition to UK/ANZAC) and the US enters the war in round 4. The US collects the bonus income at the end of round 3 + major IC.

      Anyways, this little ambiguity should not affect our game. I was ‘prepared’ anyways and knew, that the US cann and very likely will also attack Japan right after the DOW to UK/ANZAC.

      Good morning. I haven’t looked at the game map yet, but I guess in OOB the US can declare war after Japan DOW to UK/ANZAC. Thst is my understanding of the rules and I guess we used to play it in the normal G40 games.
      Nevertheless, in case US cannot declare war to Japan yet, wouldn’t it be enough to adjust the income of the US (I think they receove a bonus when entering the war, so this amount could be reduced) instead of re-dping the whole turn?

      Hello,

      I downloaded the latest 1.85 and it works like a charme.
      I had to edit the Paratroops and the LCV+2 Inf from Tokyo to Kiangsu according to the rules.

      Battles so far in my favor I guess, SZ97 (the Brits were surely on tea break!) or the battles in Asia were mostly without or only very few casualities! This usually comes back like a boomerang later on… :sa:

      I accidantally purchased 1 Waffen_Oberst + 1 waffen_infantry total of 4 IPC) , although I had no units to convert in Berlin. I only noticed in the placement phase. Hence I converted them into an artillery and placed it in Western Germany.

      Ciao. Thank you for the above explanations. I have also read through the instructions again and think I have understood the new mechanisms of the new units and options so far. And I really have to say that the new options are phenomanl and I like them already! Brilliant work! It will take a while to use the possibilities and potentials of the new stuff, but that’s what makes it so appealing! I’m already looking forward to the new strategies!

      I’ll see if I can cobble together some short notes for a quicker overview.

      I think the new map and especially the sea zones are great. The new unit design still takes a bit of getting used to, although I prefer single-coloured units with different models or symbols to the new units. But that’s just a matter of taste and getting used to it. All in all, a very nice map and better than the standard G40 map.
      I have played Global40 OOB in about 20 games so far and a few times live with friends.

      And about the current game.
      The Yank Fighter’s edit move is of course fine. I’m sure I’ll also forget something a few times.

      G1 went well on the whole, although I would have preferred to take Bordeaux instead of the South of France. But I don’t want to complain!

      Oh well, I will go to sleep now. My Italian move will follow tomorrow. It’s 1.00am here

      Howdy.

      here me J1 move.
      During my non-combat move I did transprt 2 units (1 inf. + 1 art.) vial rail from Kiangsu to Kwangsi. I used these 2 Rail symbols, which appeared during non-combat move in Kiangsu, but are not visible after the non-combat move anymore.
      Can these be used only once?
      Can I place these 2 Rail symbols to another territory and move 2 units from there via rail? Or does I have to rail from Kiangsu only?

      I purchased a paratroop and a LCV and played around with them in a local game. Somehow I can´t get the paratroops to move 3 spaces from Japan to Amur in Round 2 (I declared war on Russia) to attack it. Japan has an airfield, so the Paratroops should move 3. Or do I need to manually edit this move?
      Same for the LCV. Do I need to manually edit the movement before Combat move?
