The current FAQ changes SO much its revolting. I appeal to Kreighoud’s reasoning
Are you being sarcastic, or has the Errata/FAQ been changed?

I’m not sure why people are so upset about the ANZAC downsizing in terms of ICs. With the error ANZAC had more production capacity than the USA, Japan, and UK, which of course is not right, so I don’t mind the change at all, which is much more realistic. Don’t get me wrong, I think these mistakes are big, and I don’t see how they could mess up the setup cards, but I think the change itself is very appropriate.
I’ve thought this entire time “I can’t believe the Philippines doesn’t get an AB or NB.” Glad to see this rectified. I was shocked by the ANZAC IC downsizing. This is huge. I’m surprised by the number of mistakes, that sidebar omission is pretty crucial too.
Can tanks or mech infantry move one space before loading onto a transport? Seems like in AA50 they could not, but I can’t seem to put my finger on it in this rule book.
I don’t see a problem, I think we had a ton of people asking questions who haven’t actually read the rules yet.
Something that neither rules preview article has dealt with is neutrals. Do French IndoChina or the Dutch East Indies spawn units when attacked? I can see the shaded infantry figure in Mongolia, but I don’t see it in either of these two? I know attacking DEI is a declaration of war and FIC is not, but are they simply empty territories with no defense? Also is it possible for the Allies to reinforce FIC without a declaration of war? I know probably this fall on J1 and is practically irrelevant.
Great work djensen. Ignore this guy. Thanks for all the info.
I think I’ve got some breaking news. All unit costs are consistent with AA50 with the following exceptions:
Tanks are 6
Carriers are 16
and of course the new units:
Tac Bombers 11
Mech Inf 4
Major IC 30
Minor IC 12
Airbase 15
Naval Base 15
Hope this helps.
Looking at the map the Aleutian Islands appear to be very strategically valuable, especially with an airbase. I’m wondering two things:
Can land units travel from Alaska to Aleutians w/o transport? (I’m thinking no?)
Can naval units travel directly from SZ 1 to SZ 2? (I’m thinking yes?)
Based on the artwork neither is immediately intuitive to me.
I hope this isn’t old news, but I looked at the map on Boardgame Geek and I noticed what I am assuming is the kamikaze symbol watermarked on the board. This is in addition to the convoy watermarks. The watermark appears to be the same as the symbol on the kamikaze counter. This watermark is on six sea zones: Japan, Formosa, Okinawa, Marianas, Iwo, and the Philippines. If it is watermarked on the board already I wondered what the counters are for? Maybe just to keep track of how many you have left?
I want to know something about the watermark convoy zones. I heard they work differently than they did in the old AAP, but no one has given any specifics that I’m aware of. Have you finished the rule book yet? Ready for more info.
I don’t see this specifically addressed in the rules or the errata/FAQ, unless I missed it. When placing new Chinese units do they all have to be placed in the same singular territory? Or if say China were receiving 4 new units could you place 2 in one territory and two in another different territory?
