      The game will go a million times faster if the attacker also rolls for the defender.  Just ask if you think there is a reason to be concerned about which unit to take as casualties.

      One more question…is the attacker going to roll for his own units and the defender?  This would really speed things up, but we might have a problem with taking casualties.

      As for techs, my preference would be to play without them, but I really don’t care one way or the other.

      I am good with typing up the turn order in a post, and rolling in a post, etc…

      I am good starting now or whenever you guys are ready.

      I did have one question before we begin…what do we do if someone makes an illegal move or roll…say they move a fighter to a battle that actually can’t reach , or say they forget to downgrade tac bomber when its supporting unit dies etc…  Does anyone have a good system for arbitrating these kinds of mistakes.

    • RE: UK Minor IC in West India

      @Koningstiger:

      @Seven_Patch:

      I would think that the AAP40 strategies for Japan can probably be thrown out of the window and all new ones will need to be tried.

      Would you care to elaborate?

      Obviously adding Russia in global makes a big difference, but what else are you referring to?

      Well right now J3 India crush seems to be the dominate AAP1940 strategy, but in Global the Pacific will need to be rethought.  Here’s why?

      The presence of USSR means you can’t total denude Manchuria and Korea of defenses…so less going to India/China.

      The German player will probably be begging the Japanese not to go to war to keep the US neutral as long as possible.

      US makes more money while neutral in AAG than in AAP and could start off stronger

      If you don’t attack J1 (Germans and Italians don’t wont you to attack) then the U.K navy will survive, U.K. economy can get stronger adding the DEI, and ANZAC probably gets both there NOs for a few turns and will start off stronger.

      Stoney’s last post says it will still be a few weeks before he gets the map module working and that it may not happen till after the release.

      I seriously doubt there is any kind of map program created yet.  We only found out what the board even looks like a week ago.  Someone correct me if this is not right.

    • RE: How will you divide powers depending on the number of players?

      This is just my opinion, but since you asked…

      I’d give Italy to Germany since both have interests in Europe and the Mediterranean

      I’d pair USSR with China since both are land based in Asia

      I’d pair U.K with ANZAC since ANZAC is British Commonwealth, you have ANZAC units side by side with Brits in Malaya and Egypt, and both are naval powers in South Pacific.

      I’d pair US with France since their units share the same box and setup card and it gives the US some action for the first 3 rounds, and it will probably be the US that liberates France.

      Makes sense to me.

      Yeah…the dice roller thing is cool.  We can play the whole game right here in the forum.  There is no need to email die rolls as it shows them right in your post.  It’s cool.

      @LHoffman:

      As for Sealion (G1 or 2): yes it may be possible, anything is, after all… but I would not count on it as a viable strategy, because I see it only very rarely working.

      A lot of things are possible, but a G1 Sealion is not one of them.  It is in fact impossible.

      If they take England, one of two things could happen, both breaking that game: either Germany fortifies it and the Allies inevitably lose due to the absence of a major power… or Germany loses it to the Americans, after which Germany will still lose the game due to the early squandering of men and equipment.

      Most likely the latter.

      I’ll try to locate the link, but Emperor T posted the NOs and Bennyboy confirmed them, plus Bob Mickelson’s chart has them.  We don’t have the AAE40 NOs, but the AAG40 NOs are already out there.
