I am not at home at the moment so unfortunately I cannot post screenshots of the installation dialogue.

When you execute the setup you come to a point where you are asked about to install into a directory, usually that is

C:\Program Files\TripleA\

Now the task is not to install another version into the same directory - in that case you would overwrite the present installation - but into a different one.

So when it comes to the above mentioned dialogue simply click into the line where the installation path is indicated and change it to

C:\Program Files\TripleA_whatever\

You will then install another version side by side.

Later be sure to know which version you open with which shortcut/icon on your desktop.

We have an IP blacklist to filter out spam. But the affected accounts current IP addresses are not listed there. So this issue does not seem to be related to our blacklist - but maybe it is a ‘superior’ IP issue.

Very easy to remove, but a pain indeed.

However, the problem is not about passwords. Neither about account hijacking.
A key is nothing else than a (very) long password (file) … so what would be the benefit?
Even 2FA with a Yubikey or other items wouldn’t help here.
As long as we can’t look into account creators intentions we could only block account creation itself.
That would keep out “good” users, too. Or we could approve postings before being published - while there is not enough manpower to do this 24-7.

But indeed, maybe @djensen has some other ideas of how to deal with it.

As TripleA is a constant development project there are always chances that issues have been resolved in the meantime.

The nodeBB forum search is far from being perfect, I agree. But it is a lot better than the search provided by the old forum software that we abandoned in 2018.

@CaptainNapalm Thank you for the savegame.

Indeed, when I use your savegame the situation appears to be resolved incorrectly.

However I have recreated similar scenarios using the current TripleA pre-release (2.3.21385) on different maps (including BM3). All of those have been resolved correctly.

So there was

• a question to attack or not
• a question to submerge or not
• correct surprise strike execution

That brings me to the following conclusion:

• Either there has been an issue with the engine (what I doubt but cannot exclude for sure) but the issue has already been resolved with current versions or
• there is an issue with your game that contains some triggers that might have somehow messed up the correct resultion of the situation (what I cannot examine in depth, knowing too little about that specific game).

So I recommend to

• install and run the latest TripleA-version and the latest map-version
• begin a new game and see if that issue occurs again

Maybe @regularkid wants to take a look into it, too.

Thematically it makes sense.
Also it might prevent people from opening game related topics here, which have to be moved to their appropriate categories, then.

Maybe rename the “Welcome” category to “Welcome to the Forum”, then.

@Bvandyke01 Please describe in detail what you actually want to do and the steps that you try to achieve your goal.

You ususally download games (maps) with the TripleA ingame downloader.
You usually download savegame files by clicking on “Savegame” and saving the *.tsvg file in the savegame-directory.
Those files will be chosen later when you use the Open Saved Games dialogue within TripleA.

Now what you have posted here is a screenshot of your desktop showing your Google Chrome after you clcked the testing Savegame. This test is only represented by a jpg-image. So your browser shows it correctly. You need to load a “real” savegame with TripleA instead.

In case you still need asstistance, please

• Describe step by step what works with TripleA 1.9.
• Then please describe step by step what you do with TripleA 2.2, that appears to not work.
