      Maybe when someone signs up for the playoffs, they state which playoff they want to be in. And there can be three playoffs: OOB, BM3, and PTV

      Since I first presented the idea of 3 different playoff tournaments, I thought I should weigh in again. I think that it is well established that 8 games played is the minimum standard for qualifying for the “League Champion” playoffs, but only because there are plenty of players that can qualify. After reading Tizkit’s post, and seeing that his 2020 3-0 record came purely from the 2019 “2nd Playoff” playing all OOB against reluctant opponents, I see that there needs to be a separate OOB tournament, and perhaps the threshold for participating in that one is 3 games minimum overall. I like the idea that Gamerman had of waiting until July 1 to establish the minimum games to qualify. A minimum threshold of 3 (instead of 8 overall) isn’t merely to accommodate Tizkit, but all of the other newer league players who invariably start in the league with only knowledge of OOB G40 rules, but will not have time during the year to do 8 games.

      Most likely, there will be plenty of P2V and BM3 games played that the minimum qualifying standard for those tournaments will be the traditional 8 games played overall, and maybe 5 games played within the particular ruleset (either BM3 or P2V)

      If more than 8 players in any playoff group (OOB, BM3 or P2V) qualify for their respective tourney and want to participate, there can be additional “2nd Playoff” tournaments set up as we currently have.

      Well, that increases their value significantly. I wish I would have known this earlier. It would be easy to say that in the “notes”. I suggest the next update, that it says that in the notes.

      Very good overall G1, especially since in my last game, Germany lost in France on their G1. I got 4 hits in 111 before withdrawing. You can swap out the Fighter for the damaged BB if you wish

      I am going to call this game. I decided a couple of months ago that I am done with A&A for awhile. Too much time and brainpower expended. This is the last game I have active.

      I can see that this will take another 10-15 rounds to finish. Every time someone makes a mistake, the game is backtracked to give another chance, which only extends the game. We have already been doing this for 4+ months, and I am unwilling to go another couple of months to see how it turns out.

      You played a great game with Japan in the Pacific, and I keep getting bad dice there trying to pick off your forces, so it is a long, tedious and frustrating campaign. When I killed off our carrier forces there during our live battle, I should have been left with 4-6 aircraft and Japan with none, but the dice left us with 3-4 aircraft each and you saved your transports. It seems like every time I attack your blockers, I lose a sub, DD, or air unit in exchange. With a huge Japanese economic advantage, there is little the Allies can do to offset it.

      I can see now that the only chance I had to turn the tide quickly was my 1-2 punch to Denmark and taking Germany, and the subsequent weakening of the Germans. Since that move was undone, I have no advantage there anymore. Your airpower in Europe cannot be matched without American help, and the Americans are needed in the Pacific at this point.

      I think we both learned a lot with this game. I think PTV is a superior iteration of A&A. I like it better than BM3 or OOB rules. I believe you can compete well with the better league players if you want to give it a go.

      @max334 even tho triple-A will allow the carrier scramble to 115, the rules in the “notes” only allow a carrier scramble to a SZ with a SURFACE ship, which the sub is NOT.
