most of the time I play with Russia, so I think since Germany goes before Russia It should attack very soon since Russia has only so much men there on the front line.

While I play the crap out of Fantasy Football, I’m not a football guy.  It’s baseball/hockey #1, then soccer #2.  Football is #3.  I follow players, but if I had to side with a team, it would be the Panthers just out of the pure fact I intend to retire to NC when I get out of the military here in five years.

New Orleans is a good second team - they were down and out for a long time, won it all, and are gearing up for another go at it… they have great uniforms, a wild city, and a fun style to watch.

My first pro team was the Chicago Bears. When we first had TV in 1951 there was only one station (major network) in Indianapolis and they had the Bears on Sundays. Sometimes the Chicago Cardinals were on but they were poor and usually got beat up. That was my first exposure to pro football.

we played a game the other week that you could move your capital when captured (not for victory conditions, just for building and production) to any territory you had an IC on, Major if you had it, or choice of minor otherwise.  While it certainly added a different aspect of allowing you to continue to build, it resulted in nations never being defeated.

Get NSW BACK AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.

Focus your American Fleet in Hawaii IF you can hold there.  Make sure you don’t lose Hawaii or it’s game.

Put your focus into killing Japanese ground units, so that their ability to take your territories is limited.

Don’t let england fall to the Nazi’s,  focus British energies on killing the german navy, and taking norway/finland, and helping the reds hold onto Novisibirsk.  Fight the German units for every square inch of Russia, watch out for Blitzes and Italian can opener style attacks.

Try to kill the Italian navy however possible.  Perhaps with remnant indian fleet.

UK merger income rule, invented by me, is to where UK can interspend but there will be a penalty of 5 IPCS for each Capital that (the capitals are London and Calcutta) is lost ( UK would be able to buy even if London and/or Calcutta is lost)

simply put: A&A success, and the type of generalization you are looking for, do not go hand in hand. like any complex game, the better the player the less likely you are to look at any given situation through a ‘rule of thumb’ type of lens. “Russia should play defensive?” What does that even mean? Russia should play well, end of story, and what that means depends on so many different factors it is impossible to meaningfully generalize.

Well of course, but the idea is that most of the time, the Soviets are focusing less on capturing German territories, and more on preventing the capture of their own, thus being defensive play. Granted, it’s not to say “Russia should never attack someone” but generally, they’re fighting more for protecting themselves than harming Germany.

Russia assuming you understand how to be defensive.

The USA, if you know understand how to prepare & play offensively.

Nothing throws a game to a competant Axis like a Russian player that plays too offensively and overextends or a US player that doesn’t understand transport math and can’t keep sustained pressure.
