    • RE: Explain your avatar / screen name

      Nukchebi0 is a conglomeration of the three main weapons of mass destruction. Typically they are ordered NBC, but nukbioche just didn’t sound good. It is only 9 characters because it originated from an old game I was signing up to play online, one that limited the name to 9 characters. Once, I got that name, I just continued using it, since I liked it so much, and it was original, which meant no conflicts with others.

    • Invading gray terriories.

      I think a good rule (or improvement to the Festung Europa NA) would be to give the territories of Norway, Western Europe, Southern Europe and Germany an “AA gun” for amphibious invasions. Every invading unit would be shot at by the gun, hitting on a one. This would be to simulate the massive coastal defenses the Germans built, ones not represented by the pieces on the boards, and make it harder for the Allies to trade these territories. It wasn’t a light matter to plan the invasion on D-Day. The game should represent it as such.

      I suggest you check this out:

      At least one destruction (catastrophic fire) occurred from enemy fire. It wasn’t, however, from an enemy tank.

      I believe that whole incident was made up for the movie, and even if it wasn’t, did he shoot down any German planes?

      About the helicopters, I wasn’t thinking of them when I made that statement, but I guess they do count. It also reminds me of the F-15E which shot one down with a laser guided bomb.

      @ncscswitch:

      @Nukchebi0:

      I still like flying more that sailing, so I would take the F-22.

      You gotta be kidding…  If I am going to war, I want SURVIVABILITY in my aircraft, not ultra high maintenance/primary target.
      Give me a good old fashioned Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt 2.  I want my engines priotected from ground fire, the ability to hug the terrain and avoid the faster jets, and the ability to blow aircraft, tank OR boat away with that GAU 8-A… 4200 RPM of 30mm armor piercing rounds… plus whatever I ahve strapped under my wings.

      There are no documented air to air kills with an A-10. The GAU cannon isn’t designed to shoot airplanes anyways.

      Also, while the F-22 is a primary target, it is a safe target. An A-10 has a chance of getting shot down much greater than that of a F-22.

      @Nix:

      Do they have stealth boats? No. (Not yet)

      incorrect

      The Swedish royal navy got 4 Stealth corvettes, so if that counts as the “little” boat im taking one…

      Good armament to…  Takes down a fig easy, tanks arn´t an issue, and other ships won´t know what hit em…  (yes i did serve in the Swedish navy, but not on one of these, 4th mine warfare flotilla was my place… )

      My bad.

      I still like flying more that sailing, so I would take the F-22.

      Do they have stealth tanks. Only in Command and Conquer.
      Do they have stealth airplanes? Yes.

      I think that answers the question effectively.

    • RE: My tank

      A tank turns by moving one tread but not the other. Since one side of the tank is moving, and the other isn’t, it effectively rotates around the non-moving side, thus moving the tank.

      To ncsc:

      There is a space between the turret and the body. You just are incapable of perceiving that from the view I provided.

      About the skirt, can you elucidate? I don’t see where any protection is skimped.

      YOU DARE CALL THAT A “TANK” THAT MONSTROSITY IS NO COMPARISON TO TRUE ARMORED ASSAULT VEHICLE! :x :x :x

      OMG LIEK J00 ARE A MONSTROSITY TOO.

      Seriously, explain why.

    • RE: We are all cheating…

      @Baghdaddy:

      Sequential combat resolution rather than parrallel combat resolution is the rule.

      Knowing this, a skilled player will use his option to choose combats as the attacker to minimize risk.

      For example, allow combats A  and B to be set up.
      Combat A, even if wildly successful will still leave units badly exposed if Combat B does not succeed.
      Obviously doing Combat B first will help the decision on whether Combat A should be pushed.

      Another example is G1.
      2 FTR in the combat against the British BB and 2 FTR in the combat into AE.  Both need to succeed if the Med is to be locked down.  Doing the higher risk one first allows you to chose not to push the other one if the first goes badly.  If the first goes well with minimal loses, taking more losses in the second is acceptable.

      Now with the in house dicey and “tradition” of all round 1 at once, the above legal decisions are not as readily available.

      Lets try a different example:
      Combat D, E and F all need to succeed in order for any of them to be of value due to unit count, position, Victory cities, etc.  By rolling all in parrallel, the attacker can call of all three if any single one starts to go bad.

      As for those of you who don’t normally retreat as the attacker if things go bad, songs are written about decisions like that.

      Charge of the Light Brigade, yep.

      About the turn distance, I think it is just the view. I have a decent amount of room if you look from a top view.

      About the speed, why would you think that?

    • My tank

      The picture attached is of a tank I modeled in AutoCAD. I was wondering what otherW would think of it. If anyone wants more perspectives than the current one, let me know and I can get them.

      The turret is designed to be capable of turning, something that will be tested when I get it 3D printed on Wednesday.

    • RE: Fighters and subs

      Both types of airplanes can shoot at subs no matter where naval forces are. However, any surviving subs can fill their tanks (dive) and avoid the airplanes after the first round.

    • Need Footage

      I was wondering if anyone who had the movie “Patton” could get me the short 1-3 minute scene where he tells the other general (I think it was a general) that the U.S. should invade Russia. Just use a video or digital camera to film the T.V. while the scene is playing, or if you can get it in higher quality, that would be great. Thanks.

      @GeorgeFighter:

      Hello,

      I just got an A&A revised game for Christmas. Don’t have anyone to play it with however (sob :cry:). I would like to find an online partner to play against. Never done it before. Anyone up for a game?

      Sure. Ask someone more experienced what you need to do to play online, and I will play.
